AoV Kriknak - SUMMARY

Talent: Punish

Level priority: Terrifying Plague

Play: Kriknak is an Assasin who's gameplay revolve around effective usage of his passive which places a mark on targets when abilities hit them, and capitalizing on it by using normal attack. There is natural affinity toward "on-hit" items, like Frost Cape, or even Omni Arms if you feel like really going damage route, just remember to weave in normal attacks in between every skill usage, otherwise much of it will be wasted (both passive and item bonuses).

(Physical) Bite

When one of Kriknak's abilities hits an enemy, the next normal attack deals an additional 80 (+100% additional AD) physical damage. 

-Make sure to Attack normally in between your abilities for most efficiency.

1st skill
(Physical, Magic) Terrifying Plague

Cooldown: 10/9.5/9/8.5/8/7.5 sec
Mana Cost: 70 (+10 x Skill LvL)

Kriknak summons a plague of larvae that deals 360/420/480/540/600/660 (+150% additional AD) physical damage and inflicts a Mark of Horror upon the target. When Kriknak attacks marked enemies, they take additional magic damage equal to 8(+0.02% of AD)% of Maximum Health. Furthermore, the cooldown of this ability is reduced by 3 seconds and Kriknak restores 35 mana.  

-Kriknak's core ability, take it at level 1 and max it first.

-You can use Terrifying Plague while you are under Drone Drop effect.

-Ability Range: 700 units.

-Mark of Horror lasts 5 seconds.

2nd Skill
(Physical) Horn Rush

Cooldown: 6 sec
Mana Cost: 50 (+5 x Skill Lvl)

Kriknak lunges forward with his enormous horns, dealing 390/445/500/555/610/665 (+150% additional AD) physical damage to enemies in his path. Every enemy hero hit restores 190/230/270/310/350/390 (+60% of additional AD) HP for Kriknak. 

-You cannot use Horn Rush when you are under Drone Drop effect.

-Can pass through walls and obstacles.

-Ability Range: 500 units.

(Physical, Control) Drone Drop

Cooldown: 12 sec
Mana Cost: 120

Kriknak takes to the skies, significantly increasing his movement speed for 6 seconds. When casting this ability while airborne, Kriknak attacks the target area, dealing 660/880/1100 (+260% of AD) physical damage to the enemies in the area and reducing their movement speed. 

-Ability Range: 800 units.

-It goes on cooldown after 6 seconds or after the 2nd cast.

-Can jump over obstacles and walls.



-Mobility. Drone Drop and Horn Rush offer some great mobility at really low cost, even its cooldowns are low. You can use both skills to maneuver around the map, when you are leaving the base as well as in team fights.

-High Burst. Once you get used to playing Kriknak and master him, you will find his skills really easy to execute. If executed correctly you will deal some great amount of damage in a really short period of time. With your Mark of Horror dealing % based damage even tanks can be succumb to burst.

-Versatile. While for other Arena of Valor heroes being Versatile means different playstyle for Kriknak it only applies to his item build. The only must is some armor penetration, but you can build him like a tank or bruiser or assassin so you fit in most compositions.


-Predictable. While your combo is really easy to execute it is also really easy to predict, you have only 1 attack pattern that's good and that is it, more skilled opponents will expect it most of the time. So take care, you won't be able to fool enemies every time with the same trick.

-Burstable. While your burst is really good and among the top of burst combos, it requires for you to commit really deep, and when u commit you can easily be turned on and squshed like a bug (you see what I did there) so take extra care maybe even save Horn Rush to escape.




TALENT: Punish

30-second cooldown: Deals 800 true damage to nearby minions and monster and stuns them for 1 second.

Laning Stage: Kriknak is an Assasin/Warrior and as such he is best suited for Jungle role. With Kriknak you should start your normal jungle route (blue to red) and only gank when u hit level 4 because Kirknak pre level 4 has kind of bad initiation tools, you will need Drone Drop to start a gank and Horn Rush to finish enemy heroes off. Kriknak has low CDs and high mobility so you want to move around the map at all times and look for ganks, don't be afraid to invade enemy jungle or to gank a 2 man lane because you are tankier and mobile than most. Your standard rotation should be Drone Drop>>Auto Attack>>Terrifying Plague>> Auto attack>>Horn Rush>>Auto attack, if executed correctly should be able to finish most of the enemies if not just rotate out of combat for a few seconds and repeat.

Team Fights: With Kriknak you will want to take over the initiative but not the initiation. Leave that to your main tank. As soon as the enemy team spends some of the major abilities, jump on enemy mid laner or marksmen and do the combo. If the combo is successful and the enemy is dead assist your tanks, if they are dead and is too dangerous, rotate out, try not to get controlled before your CDs are back up and then go for round 2.
