AoV Mganga - SUMMARY
Level priority: Take Toxic at lvl 1 and focus Fortunate Gift after that.
Play: The most important thing to master in order to play him well, is positioning/dodging enemy abilities. Once you avoid enemy control spell(s), there is a chance to land few normal attacks with Fortunate Gift and Toxic weaved in, and top-it-off with Ultimate, at which point repeat the cycle again.
Attack Range: Long
Movement Speed: 360

Normal attacks and abilities inflict a continuous poison effect that deals 25 (+5% of AP) magic damage and adds 1 Voodoo Mark (up to 5 marks) to enemy heroes.
-An important mechanic for both Mganga and his opponents. Sitting at 5 stacks when facing Mganga is an almost sure way to lose a fight.
-Voodoo marks are the purple number of stacks shown above heads.
-Adding marks on auto attacks is nothing trivial, especially in one on one situations.
(Magic, Area DMG) Toxic
Cooldown: 2 sec
Mana Cost: 55
Mganga creates a poisonous cloud at the target area that slowly spreads and deals 60/66/72/78/84/90 (+16% of AP) magic damage for 4 seconds and slows enemy movement speed by 30% for 2 seconds. Mganga creates a charge of poison cloud every 12/11.4/10.8/10.2/9.6/9 seconds (depending on skill lvl), up to 2 charges.
-AoE DoT spell (Area of Effect, Damage over Time). Wave clearing with this ability is easy.
-Zoning - slow and Voodoo stacks built into this spell are a good reason for everyone to avoid it in almost every situation.
(Magic, Heal) Fortunate Gift
Cooldown: 5 sec
Mana Cost: 50
Mganga hurls magic items in the specified direction to cause 90/103/116/129/142/155 (+40% of AP) magic damage to any enemy he hits. However, if he hits an ally hero, he will affix a healing mark on them that will recover HP.
-Do not forget you can heal your allies with this ability, especially once you build up some AP and cooldown reduction.
-Try to blanket as many people as possible with this ability, both allies, and enemies.
-In order to refresh marks on your team, you'll need to use this ability immediately after the cooldown is finished.
(Magic, Area DMG) Detonation
Cooldown: 18/15/12 sec
Mana Cost: 130
Mganga sets off explosions that deal 120/180/240 (+65% of AP) magic damage to all nearby enemies and heal ally heroes by 120 (+24% of AP) HP. Damage dealt is increased by 120 (+32% of AP) per stack for marked enemies, and HP restored to allies is increased by 50% per stack.
-Prepare the situation with good timing and planning. Detonation is more effective the more Marks there are, so you benefit from prolonged fights and crowd controlled opponents.
-Do not hesitate to use it to heal if your team is lacking health and have several stacks of Fortunate Gift casts.
PRO'S AND CON'S
-Team fighter both abilities are AoE. Two of those can heal your team and do damage to your foes, and there is always pressure present among enemies from having a high number of Voodoo Marks.
-Highly versatile champion in terms of going offensive or defensive. Damage output playing against Mganga forces you to be very cautious, as he can turn the tide of the battle at any second.
-His damage can be deceptive, subtle, and at the specific moment have massive bursting power. Sustain-built in heal, items Orb of the Magi, Virtue's necklace and/or Rhea's Blessing are all factors contributing to Mganga's incredible staying power.
-Squishy. If Mganga is to be effective he needs cooldown reduction and ability power from items, so there isn't much room for defensive stats. This means talent choices must be compensating like flicker and maybe sprint.
-Positioning. Anyone playing Mganga must be master of positioning, to be in range of an enemy team, to be behind his own team, to be close enough to land skills, and to be far enough so his "squishiness" does not become more hindering than it already is, and all that while keeping up a barrage of attacks and skillshots landing left and right.
120-second cooldown: Teleports your hero a short distance.
Ability Power +4.2 - Magic Pierce +2.4
Max HP +45 - HP / 5sec +5.2 - Movement Speed +0.4%
Attack Speed +0.6% - Magic Pierce +6.4
TIPS FOR PLAYING
Leveling-Skills: Toxic for some wave clear, fast push for level 2 and added possibility for early skirmishes where slow from this skill can play an important role. After that focus on Fortunate Gift and take ultimate whenever you can.
Laning: It is important not to go too close to your challenger, stay at range and if he shows signs of aggression, land Toxic in front of his feet and add some auto attacks on top of that. Sustain your self via Fortunate Gift and if you have to, use ultimate (but before that add some stacks to yourself). Mganga is a nasty champion to play against as his damage ramps up over a short time, so once he is engaged it is not clear to the attacker what to expect from the trade. Often enough people get surprised by the intensity of this clown's damage and/or heal... make good use of this kind of surprise.
Team fights: Mganga excels in team fights when there is enough crowd control in his team's toolkit and he is safe to stack up opponents to 5 stacks, use Detonation, and restack Marks again. To add to the complexity of playing this champion, at all times you will have to decide to heal or to damage. This added complexity can be negative, but if you relish more options you will enjoy this clown's playstyle.
