Just as the news about canceling Ash vs. Evil TV show still angers many, Lionsgate decided to use the characters for another purpose.
Together with game developer Apps Ministry, Lionsgate will release a multiplayer first-person shooter Deploy and Destroy. Besides the characters from Ash vs. Evil, it will also include others from Divergent series and from more franchises in the future. Currently, the game has two multiplayer modes: eight-player deathmatch and 4v4 team deathmatch.
“Deploy and Destroy brings together some of our most beloved franchises for a fast‐paced and competitive action spectacle,” said Lionsgate president of interactive ventures, games and digital strategy Peter Levin. “We’re thrilled to partner with Apps Ministry to give fans and FPS players around the world a unique experience they’ve yet to see on mobile.”
Deploy and Destroy is designed for handheld devices with a full 3D environment. The game is free-to-play and more characters and weapons will be available as you level up. The future updates will include John Wick and Hunger Games characters. The game is available for Android and iOS.
