Blade Reborn Classes

BLADE REBORN – CLASSES BASICS

Blade Reborn features three classes, the mighty brutalizer, agile assassin, and powerful magic bow elven – think of it as an archer/mage hybrid. Each of the classes has two unique weapons, and all skills and talents are tied directly to those weapons. We'll go through the most distinguishable aspects of each class in the next sections, while here we'll describe the basics of skills and talents.

SKILLS: There is a total of 8 weapon skills in the game, 3 for primary, 3 for side weapon and 1 ultimate skill for each of the weapons. Like in many other action RPGs, skills have a cooldown time during which they can’t be used. Using skills also costs mana, but I don’t find this really important, because even when I just spammed skills like crazy there was plenty of mana left. Both primary and side weapons also have an ultimate skill, that will only become available after rage meter is filled. Whenever your character hits an enemy his rage meter will slowly fill up. While auto attacks can and will work, rage meter will fill up much faster by using skills. Once rage meter is filled your character can unleash powerful ultimate skill, but doing so will reset the rage meter, using up all 1000 rage points. This means that, unlike with regular skills, you will be able to use either main weapon ultimate or side weapon ultimate, at least until rage meter is filled again.

Leveling up skills: Whenever your character gains a new level, skill upgrades will become available. Maximum skill level is equal to your character level and all skills should be maxed since they have very low cost and even 1 more level can make a difference. By taping an icon of a certain skill in-game (under skill tab), you can see it’s detailed description (damage, cooldown, range etc.). Based on this information and talents you will be able to determine the most useful skills for your character. For more info about this see the character class that you’re interested in.

TALENTS: Talents will become available after completing instance 1-5. They are used to empower skills and are activated by talent points. Talent points can be gained by completing the main storyline. After each chapter, your character will gain 3 talent points, but there is a catch, in order to gain those talent points all instances in a chapter must be finished with 3 stars (24 stars at the end of the chapter). Every skill, including both ultimate skills, has a talent tree. To activate a talent for a certain skill, tap a skill icon and then tap talent menu on a far right side. Same thing as with skills, you can check detailed description for each talent here.

TALENTS TIER 1-2: Tier 1 and 2 talents will be automatically unlocked (do not require books) and there is no branching of talent a tree yet (that will happen at Tier 3 talent). Take some time to consider what talents to activate, because there won’t be enough talent points for all skills, so pick the most effective ones. Anyway, you can always reset all your talent points by taping reset skill in talent tab, so no worries if you made a mistake or just want to try something new.

Tier 1 talents require 1 Talent point to activate, while Tier 2 talents require 2 points.

TALENTS TIER 3-4: Unlocking tier 3 and 4 talents will require Identification of Talent Book (there is something really odd about the name of this book). When you complete chapter 3 you’ll get Advanced Talent Book and it will unlock 3 Tier 3 talents. Another one can be gained by finishing chapter 9, this book will unlock a random tier 3 talent. For other unlocks you will have to farm for talent pages and you’ll have to collect 20 of those in order to synthesize Identification of Talent Book. These pages can be found in several game modes: Dungeons, Blood War and Honor Canyon. For details about these see FORTITUDE Tab. It is important to mention that the book will always unlock one random talent (you can’t choose which one will be unlocked) and it is also possible to gain (by synthesizing) more than one copy of the same book. If that happens, disassemble the copy to gain back some of the materials. Tier 3 will require 3 Talent points to activate, Tier 4, 4 points.
