Hello Commanders, we have an update that is live right now which includes character balance updates for Vision and Spider-Man, and changes to how certain abilities that grant ability energy work. Our inbox message mentioned changes to Thanos as well, those are coming soon but are not part of this update.
Upon releasing the version 1.3.0 update, we immediately discovered that we had resolved a bug that caused certain abilities to gain ability energy that had not previously. An example of this is Captain America’s Inspire, which previously would not gain ability energy when Captain America provided himself ability energy from this ability. Objectively, we believe this change is fun and interesting – it’s far more clear and concise if ability energy always applies to all of a character’s abilities when they receive it. That said, certain characters were balanced in the presence of this bug and, as such, we will be making the following changes today:
Captain America’s Inspire, Luke Cage’s Unbreakable, Jessica Jones’s Shake it Off, and Star Lord’s Clever Distraction will all exclude themselves when granting ability energy. We believe this will promote a more diverse team building.
