Hello Commanders, we have an update that is live right now which includes character balance updates for Vision and Spider-Man, and changes to how certain abilities that grant ability energy work. Our inbox message mentioned changes to Thanos as well, those are coming soon but are not part of this update.

Upon releasing the version 1.3.0 update, we immediately discovered that we had resolved a bug that caused certain abilities to gain ability energy that had not previously. An example of this is Captain America’s Inspire, which previously would not gain ability energy when Captain America provided himself ability energy from this ability. Objectively, we believe this change is fun and interesting – it’s far more clear and concise if ability energy always applies to all of a character’s abilities when they receive it. That said, certain characters were balanced in the presence of this bug and, as such, we will be making the following changes today:

Captain America’s Inspire, Luke Cage’s Unbreakable, Jessica Jones’s Shake it Off, and Star Lord’s Clever Distraction will all exclude themselves when granting ability energy. We believe this will promote a more diverse team building.

Below you will find the updates to Vision and Spider-Man’s abilities.

 

Vision

Heavy Hitter – Basic

      • Ability level 6: Vision now always chains +1. He also applies Offense Down to all targets he hits and applies 1 Bleed against Tech targets. The damage of the attack increases by +40% to his primary target and +30% to secondary targets.
      • Ability level 7: Vision gains a 50% chance to chain to a third target. The damage of the attack increases by +50% to primary targets and secondary targets.

Dive Bomb – Special

      • Ability level 6: Vision will now apply Ability Block to 1 adjacent target as well as his primary target. Damage increased to +50% to primary target.

Solar Beam – Ultimate

      • At Ability Level 6, Vision now clears 2 positive effects 100% of the time.

Density Manipulation – Passive

      • At Ability level 2: Vision now applies 2 turns of Defense Up to self and 1 turn of Defense Up to the lowest health Tech ally (other than self).
      • At Ability level 4: Vision now applies 2 turns of Defense Up to self and all Tech allies.

 

Spider-Man

Agile Attack – Basic

      • Ability level 5: Damage increased by +20% to primary and secondary.
      • Ability level 6: Spider-Man gains +10% chance to proc evade. Damage increased by +50% to the primary target and +20% to secondary targets.
      • Ability level 7: Spider-Man gains +10% chance to proc evade. Damage increased by +50% to primary and secondary targets.

Web Slinger – Special

      • This attack can no longer be countered.
      • At Ability level 6: this attack now chains 2-3 and applies Defense Down for 2 turns. Damage increased +30% to primary and secondary.

Tangled Web – Ultimate

      • This attack now has a double focus.
      • At Ability Level 6: this attack now applies Slow for 1 turn.

Spidey-Sense – Passive

      • Ability level 5: Spider-Man now gains +10% turn meter when he dodges.
