Tropico is coming to iPhone on April 30th, as the official announcement was made yesterday. Feral Interactive said that their island city strategy builder game with a humorous take on the dictator sim, Tropico, will blow everyone away in about two weeks. The game was published for PC by Kalypso but Feral Interactive is looking to capitalize on the game’s success and the fact it is only available on iPad as of yet.
Full iPhone optimization is guaranteed by Feral, as Tropico will feature an intuitive touch method of controlling and navigating the UI and everything in-game. The players will be able to run their island smoothly and easily, with simple taps and gentle swipes, as Feral states.
The iPad version has had success in this field, no doubt about it, and Tropico iPhone is promised to include the complete experience with a UI revamp and everything tailored fit for our iPhones. Additionally, same as the version for iPad, iPhone Tropico will utilize Apple’s Metal API for improved graphics, enhanced performance, and low battery usage.
Tropico iPhone will cost you $11.99, but it will be a universal app. This means that if you have already purchased it for iPad, you will have no additional costs if you want to play it on your iPhone and you can even transfer all save game files. iOS 12 or higher will be needed, as every iPhone from 2015 and on will be compatible with the software. The game will be a little bit bulky though, as it will take up 3GB of storage space.
