While Diggy’s Adventure is not as action-packed or explosive as some other games, it still has a nice atmosphere. The game has a nice soundtrack which adds to the overall feel without being too distracting. Also, upon reaching certain stages in the game, players will be able to watch story cinematics which are presented in a rather comical style, and they will add up to the entire feel. Unfortunately, the game’s characters are not voiced-over, which is a shame, but it is understandable. After all, having all characters in the game fully voiced-over would increase the development costs and time, and naturally, the developers took the other approach. All in all, the game is very addicting, and after completing each stage, players will be eager to discover what’s in the next one.

In its essence, this is a puzzle game, but it also has a lot of elements of adventure and labyrinth escape…
In its essence, DA is a puzzle game, but it also has a lot of elements of adventure and labyrinth escape. During the game, you control Diggy, a quirky archeologist whose goal is to explore the remnants of ancient civilizations and uncover their mysteries. The game features a top-down perspective. You control Diggy by tapping on the place you want him to move to. The goal of each level is to obtain a specific object, solve a puzzle, or reach a certain area. However, sometimes, there are obstacles along the way. Luckily, Diggy has his shovel with him, and he’s equipped to deal with these. In order to clear an obstacle, Diggy will need to spend some energy. The energy cost of clearing these will vary, depending on the type of obstacles. Early on, some of the most basic obstacles will require spending just a few energy points, while some of the obstacles during later segments of the game will require spending significantly more energy.
Clearing each of the obstacles will award players some experience points and in certain cases, useful items Diggy can use on his journey. Other than clearing obstacles, Diggy will sometimes need to move various objects around the area in order to solve a puzzle and open a section that was previously inaccessible. This involves moving around boulders, statues, pipes, and many other objects.
Upon obtaining a number of experience points, Diggy will level up. Each level-up will grant various rewards as well as some extra energy. Once players reach a certain point of the game, they will unlock a camp. There, players can create various buildings that will provide Diggy with specific bonuses or items. They can also get equipment that can increase the amount of energy Diggy regenerates each hour, or they can make a building where they can craft energy-replenishing items, and so on. Each of these is gradually introduced, so players won’t feel overwhelmed by having tons of options thrown their way.
The game features several interesting locations for Diggy to explore. During the story mode, he will get to visit Egypt, Scandinavia, China, Atlantis, Greece, and New World. Each of those locations contains hundreds of different mines players can explore. As they progress, players will get to meet new characters, interact with them, and receive their help in order to discover various archeological treasures around the world.
At first glance, puzzles in DA may seem rather simplistic. However, this is very far from the truth. The game’s difficulty will gradually ramp up as players progress through it, and the puzzles will also become much more challenging. This was done in a very good way, so players won’t feel overwhelmed, and as they start unlocking some of the later stages, they will really need to put their minds to use in order to solve some of the most difficult puzzles the game has to offer.

Diggy’s Adventure features very simplistic, yet goofy looking graphics. Each of the characters looks very comical, and they are all quirky in their own way. Each area of the game is very simple-looking but filled with many interesting details. To be completely honest, players who enjoy impressive games with stunning graphics and a lot of explosive effects and shiny details will likely be disappointed by DA graphics. However, the game looks very cartoony, and its overall look fits nicely into the whole thing. All in all, the game probably could’ve been made to look better, but most players likely won’t mind its graphics.

Overall, it’s not very hardware-demanding…
Overall, Diggy’s Adventure is not very hardware-demanding. In order to run it, Android users will need to have at least Android 4.4 compatible device, which is laughable by today’s standard. On iOS, the situation is a bit different. The minimum requirement is an iOS 9.0 compatible device, which is a bit higher compared to Android but is still not too demanding. On most of the supported devices, the game runs fairly smoothly, and players will very rarely experience any technical issues. Still, it is worth mentioning that occasional slowdowns may happen on some devices, but it is nothing game-breaking.

Well, it sort of is. When players start playing…
When it comes to most of the mobile games, the question many players ask is “How friendly is this game for Free to Play?” Well, it sort of is. When players start playing, they will gain the first few levels very quickly, and the energy costs of clearing tiles early on are fairly low. This means that players will earn more energy than they can spend for the first several hours of their gameplay. However, at one point, this will change, and they will get out of energy fairly quickly. Thankfully, the game features camp, which serves as the base. There, players can create certain objects and buildings that will help them generate and accumulate more energy. It will also allow players to craft various energy-granting consumable items, which is another way of regenerating energy quickly. Other than that, players can watch ads every now and then. This will also give them some energy. So, all things considered, there are a lot of ways to obtain energy.
However, since the game is mainly designed around energy as the primary resource, free to play players will not be able to play it for prolonged periods of time. If players enjoy playing for a short while during their daily breaks, then they will see DA as a nice, casual-friendly game they can have some fun with occasionally. On the other hand, since the game is so addictive, it is understandable if some players might feel frustrated having to wait for their energy to regenerate. All in all, the game is not one of the friendliest ones for free to play audience but is definitely not the worst one. It sits somewhere in the middle, leaning more towards being very friendly for casual gamers.

Energy is the most important resource in Diggy’s Adventure. There are several things you can do in order to optimize your energy gains. Your camp has two different types of equipment you can use, blue and green. Blue items will allow you to increase the energy capacity you can store, while the green ones will replenish your energy faster. The trick is to optimize it in such a way that it regenerates as fast as possible while you play and to increase the energy capacity while you sleep or during the time you aren’t able to use your mobile device. This can be made easy using the Professor’s Switch System, which will allow you to save up to two different equipment setups for your camp and swap them with a push of a single button. In general, you want to set it up in such a way that your energy is always regenerating. This way, you can optimize your camp based on your daily activities, which will allow you to get more energy overall.
Valhalla is one of the locations in Diggy’s Adventure. You can access it in the Scandinavian section of the game. On the Main Map, find Thor’s line and you can notice Valhalla there. Then simply click on the icon and you will easily get to Valhalla.
China is one of the main regions of Diggy’s Adventure. In order to get to China, players must first complete all of the Main, Gods’, and father’s quests in Scandinavia. Upon doing so, players will be able to unlock China. It is worth noting that clearing tiles in China cost significantly more energy compared to Scandinavia, which is why it is recommended to increase the energy capacity and regeneration as much as possible before visiting this region.
Similar to China, Atlantis is also one of the main regions of the game. To get to Atlantis, players must first complete all of the Main, Dragons’, and father’s quests in China. Once this is accomplished, the Atlantis region will become unlocked, and players will be able to visit it. Bear in mind that clearing tiles in Atlantis cost much more energy compared to China.
Gems are the premium currency in Diggy’s Adventure. As such, they can be used to obtain some of the most powerful equipment, decorations, and to speed things up. Because of this, they are not easily obtained. There are several different ways to get gems in Diggy’s Adventure. You can get gems simply by leveling up. Every now and then, you will receive several gems upon reaching a new level. You can also get gems by completing certain achievements. Other than that, gems can sometimes be found while playing the game. However, this happens very rarely but is one of the ways to get gems. It is also possible to get gems by clicking on the game links shared by your friends on Facebook. Lastly, you can get gems by purchasing them using the in-game store.
While playing, players will get to the point where they can increase their equipment capacity. This quest is called Underground Shots 1 and is available in Egypt region. To complete it, players need to go to the underground section of their camp. Once there, clicking on the first debris tile will prompt the confirmation window. Players can remove that debris by using coins or gems, which will open additional equipment slot for the camp.
The Golem can be obtained in the equipment shop under the Extra section. Once you obtain it, Diggy will be able to drag movable objects for up to 20 tile squares, as long as there are no obstacles on the way. To use golem, simply click on the object you want to move, and then click on the tile you want to move it to.
