(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 6 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.)
Shortly after you begin, Skye will ask you to meet her on the Quidditch Pitch. Apparently, she has a big surprise for you, so head there as soon as possible. As you arrive, she’ll happily show you her new broom, a brand new Comet 260.
She got it as a gift from either her mom or dad, depending on the outcome of your first house match.
She’ll also be very eager to show you some fancy Quidditch moves. Sadly, your character is not too familiar with Comet brooms, and Skye will be a bit surprised to hear that.
Nevertheless, she’ll be willing to tell you all about it. Learning about Comets requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.
Since the adventure is time-limited, it is highly recommended to earn only a single star and let the timer expire. This will save you approximately 15-20 energy, which could make a difference in the long run.
When you are done, Skye will say which house you’ll be facing next.
She’ll also mention some details about Comet brooms.
This will spark your curiosity.
Skye will be more than happy to demonstrate the special move she mentioned earlier – Broom Drifting.
She’ll share some details about it with you.
You will thank her for showing you this fancy move. However, that wasn’t the reason she wanted to meet you. She’ll ask if you think she called you just to show off. There are two options to respond to. None of these will influence the outcome of the story, so feel free to pick either one.
Eventually, she will reveal the real surprise.
Needless to say, your character will be super excited about this. Next, she’ll invite you to the Changing Room to give you your Comet broom. Sadly, once you arrive, Skye will realize that her old Comet broom is gone.
You’ll suggest looking around to see if you can find anything. Searching for a Comet broom requires earning five stars within an hour. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is highly recommended to avoid starting this task if your energy is low.
There is a bonus progress action linked to Skye. Prioritize it if you are looking to save some energy.
Once you’re done with the search, you’ll realize that Skye’s old Comet broom is nowhere to be found. As it seems, she is fairly sure someone took the broom.
Next, you’ll have to complete a practice match before you can continue. The task window will display the cost of it as well as the rewards and available positions.
As usual, try your best to successfully complete all of the maneuvers in order to win the match.
When you are done, proceed to the Ravenclaw Common Room. If your character is Ravenclaw, you will be tasked with meeting Skye in the Slytherin Common Room. Needless to say, you will be quite surprised that she wanted to meet you here.
Apparently, all of the students have already left the common room. All except one. Skye will use her dad’s popularity to get rid of the student.
Once he leaves, you’ll ask her quite an obvious question.
Skye suspects that Erika Rath was behind her broom’s disappearance. You’ll then get to search the common room for the missing Comet broom. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.
If you want to save some energy, it is recommended to earn three stars and then wait for the timer to run out. If your energy bar was full when you started the task, you’ll easily be able to earn three stars with it, and once the timer expires, you will be at full energy.
Despite searching for nearly three hours, you won’t be able to find the missing Comet broom. Still, Skye is quite confident that Erika Rath stole it and hid it in the common room. She’ll decide it’s time for plan B, which means knocking things over with Flipendo in order to speed up the search.
You will be able to choose whether or not you want to take part in it. This choice will influence some of the dialogues later on, but it won’t affect the outcome of the adventure, so feel free to pick the option you like.
Moments later, you will hear the professor arriving, and you’ll urge Skye to leave.
Before leaving, she will notice a broom bristle and pick it up just before you run away.
Not long after you leave, the Head of the House you visited will ask you to meet him in his classroom. Apparently, the professor saw both you and Skye running out of the common room.
He will ask if the two of you are the ones responsible for the mess. You have three options to choose from. While these won’t affect the story in any significant way, if you like Skye, it is recommended to take the blame and say it was only you who caused the mess.
Skye will then show up and say what really happened.
If you took the blame, she will thank you for it.
The professor will be very disappointed in both of you, regardless of the options you picked.
Skye will try to explain that you were looking for her stolen Comet broom. Thankfully, the professor will be kind enough to let you explain everything. This requires earning five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting the task if you’re low on energy.
Both Skye and the Professor have bonus progress actions linked to them. Prioritizing these could save you some energy.
When you are done, the Professor will point out some of the possibilities.
Thankfully, he’ll decide to let you off the hook. Next, you should proceed to the Quidditch Pitch for practice. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your teammates before continuing. It appears that Skye is still convinced that Erika Rath stole the missing Comet broom.
You’ll remind her of what the professor said. However, she won’t change her mind about it. This will draw Orion’s attention, so you’ll decide to tell him everything.
Explaining the situation to Orion requires earning five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s highly recommended not to start this task with an empty energy bar.
Both Skye and Orion have bonus progress actions tied to them. Doing these could potentially save you some energy.
When you are done, Orion will simply nod and remind you that your practice is starting shortly. You will then need to complete a friendly Quidditch match. The task window will show all the relevant information.
Complete this match just like any other so far, and you should be able to win easily.
Once the practice match is over, you will ask Orion about his opinion on the missing Comet broom. Apparently, he has a plan, but he’s not yet ready to share it with you.
This will conclude Part 1 of Searching for a Comet Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 2 Gems.
What kind of plan does Orion have in mind? Will it help you find the missing broom? Find out in the next part of this exciting adventure.
