Season 1 Chapter 3

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Quidditch Season 1 Chapter 3 for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you asked Skye Parkin to train you. It took some convincing, but eventually, she agreed to it. After a bit of preparation, you got to play your first Quidditch friendly and learn the basics of the game. Skye got quite impressed by your performance, so it’s time for your training to continue. There is, however, a waiting period of three hours before you can do so. Since Quidditch Chapters are not time-limited, it is recommended simply to wait for this timer to expire.

Once you are able to continue, head to the Quidditch Pitch to meet Skye.

This part of your training involves dodging the Bludgers.

To do that, you need to acquire five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass.

This task can easily be done with a single energy bar, so as long as you didn’t start it with low energy, you should be able to finish it in one go.

Once you’re done, Skye will tell you this is one part of her training regimen for you.

She’ll ask if you’d prefer a conventional training. There are two options to reply with, but none of these will significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Once again, she’ll remind you that together, two of you could win the Quidditch Cup, as long as you train hard.

Shortly after, you’ll ask her about Erika Rath.

As it seems, Skye is not too concerned about her.

Moments later, her Quidditch mates will arrive.

And that means it’s time for more practical training.

The window will display the available positions for you to pick as well as the rewards and cost. Once you’re ready, hit the Start to begin.

Once again, drag the token to each circle when it flashes green to successfully execute maneuvers. Bear in mind that you can hold and drag it as you like, but try your best to move it to the circle the very moment it flashes green in order to fill up more of the progress meter.

When you are done with this match, you’ll be tasked with completing two Quidditch friendlies. Simply head back to Quidditch Changing Room to do so.

Like before, the window will display some useful information. Tap on Start when you are ready to begin.

These are quite similar to the matches you played earlier, so you shouldn’t have too many difficulties completing them. There is, however, an important thing to mention here. You can only play one friendly Quidditch match every 7 hours, so after completing the first one, you will have to wait for a while. You can use some gems to speed things up, but since Quidditch chapters are not time-limited, it is simply recommended to wait and do something else, like the main story or extra classes in the meantime. Also, if you drag the Token into all of the circles while they are flashing green, you will get a perfect match, and you’ll receive 1 gem as an extra reward. This is a nice bonus, but it can be somewhat tricky to accomplish, so you shouldn’t stress too much about it.

When you are done with the friendlies, you’ll receive a task to meet Skye and continue your training. There is a waiting period of four hours before you can continue. Like before, it is recommended to wait until this timer expires.

Proceed to the Quidditch Pitch once the waiting time is over.

Shortly upon arriving, Skye will tell you that today you’ll do some strength training.

She’ll also say she got quite a lot of faith in you. You can either thank her or question her. None of these choices will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Apparently, your strength training involves some de-gnoming.

Moments later, Madam Hooch and Hagrid will arrive. As it seems, some of the gnomes who previously inhabited his garden relocated to the Quidditch pitch, which is the reason for sudden de-gnoming.

Hagrid and Madam Hooch will explain the basics of de-gnoming to you.

Skye will be curious to know what you think about de-gnoming. There are three options to respond with. These won’t affect the outcome of the story, so simply pick the option you want.

De-gnoming the Quidditch pitch requires earning at least one out of five stars within eight hours.

This is perhaps, one of the most fun and satisfying tasks in the entire game. Tossing gnomes around will surely put a smile on your face. And don’t worry, no gnomes were harmed in the process.

When you are done, Madam Hooch will praise your de-gnoming skills.

Shortly after, Skye’s teammates will arrive.

So it’s time to play some more Quidditch.

Do this just like the previous matches, and you won’t have any problems.

You will then be tasked with playing two more friendlies. The waiting time between these friendlies can be a bit frustrating, but there’s no need to rush it.

When you are done, proceed to the Courtyard to meet with Penny.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters before continuing.

Penny will ask you about your Quidditch training.

And you’ll start filling her in.

Explaining your Quidditch Training to Penny requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.

Sadly, there are no 5-cost actions here, so you’ll need to use a bit more energy than usual to complete this task.

Once you’re done, you’ll tell Penny that Skye and the team captain aren’t really on best of terms.

She’ll decide to look into the matter and see if there’s anything she can do to help you.

She’ll ask if you like Skye’s training methods or not. There are two options to choose from. Bear in mind that this choice will influence some of the dialogues later on, but ultimately, it won’t affect the story significantly.

You’ll also tell Penny about Skye’s obsession with winning the Quidditch Cup.

Moments later, Skye will appear and ask if you’re ready for practice.

You’ll quickly introduce Penny to her.

Your Hufflepuff friend will be super excited to meet Skye Parkin.

Before she leaves, Skye will tell you to meet her on the Pitch when you are ready.

You’ll be a bit worried if Skye heard some of your conversation with Penny.

Anyway, you’re soon to find out if that’s the case.

But before that, there’s a waiting period of four hours.

Once you’re able to continue, proceed to the Quidditch Pitch.

Skye will ask if you’re ready for some speed training.

You’ll try asking her if she overheard some of your conversation with Penny, but she’ll simply ignore your question and start flying.

What follows is an interesting scene of you two racing. She’ll even bump into you at one point.

Soon after, her teammates will arrive, and you’ll get to play some Quidditch.

Do this just like any other Quidditch game and you should have no problem completing it.

When you’re done, Skye will tell you she wants to have a word with you.

But she’s not quite ready yet. In other words, you’ll need to wait five hours before you can continue.

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Quidditch changing room to meet with Skye.

Apparently, Skye did overhear your conversation with Penny. This is when the previous choice will take effect as the following dialogue will be different depending on the option you picked.

You’ll then ask if she thinks you’re ready for a Quidditch tryout.

And she’ll agree to talk to you about it.

Getting your review requires earning one out of five stars within three hours.

There is 5-cost action tied to Skye, so prioritize it to save some energy.

When you finish the task, Skye will say that you have a good chance at becoming your House’s next Chaser.

And that’s not all, she also wants to teach you her family’s signature play – Parkin’s Pincer.

However, there’s a waiting period of four hours before she’s ready to teach you. It is recommended to wait until this timer expires since your energy will replenish in the meantime.

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Quidditch Pitch to learn a new move.

Skye will explain some basics about Parkin’s Pincer to you.

She’ll then ask if you are ready to try it out. This choice won’t influence the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you want.

Moments later, two of her Quidditch mates will arrive to assist her teaching you this move.

To learn Parkin’s Pincer, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is recommended to avoid starting this task if your energy is low.

There is 5-cost action tied to Skye and her teammates, so focus on that one if you are looking to save some energy.

Once you’re done, your character will demonstrate this move.

Skye will praise you for being such a quick learner.

Now is the time to try that move in a game.

Hit the Start button once you’re ready to begin.

From now on, you will be tasked with performing more complex maneuvers. For Parkin’s Pincer, in particular, you need to drag the Token to each circle in sequential order.

After you’re done with the match, Madam Hooch will arrive and she’ll want to have a word with Skye.

You will notice the dreadful look on Skye’s face once she hears the news.

Apparently, her dad got injured while playing.

She’ll say she needs to leave Hogwarts for a while, but she will advise you to keep up with your training and improve your Quidditch skills.

Soon after, she’ll leave with Madam Hooch.

Moments later, the Quidditch commentator will approach you.

He’ll only say a few words before leaving the pitch, which will leave you confused.

With this, Chapter 3 of Season 1 of Quidditch will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. This will also add Skye Parkin to your list of friends.
