You also attended the pre-match party in order to relax a bit and take your mind off your worries. (Disclaimer: Some of the tasks have different star requirements, depending on the Year you’re in. The following Walkthrough contains the images from Year 6, which pretty much has the highest requirements.)

Once you start the chapter, head to the Quidditch changing room to prepare for the upcoming match. Upon arriving, you can interact with some of your housemates before proceeding. Orion will happily greet you once he sees you approaching.

season 1 chapter 8 03

Murphy will cheerfully add a bit of statistics to that. You have two options to respond with. None of these will impact the story, so feel free to go with either one.

season 1 chapter 8 04

Orion will ask if you are feeling confident about calling shots for your team. You have two response options. Once again, feel free to pick either one since these won’t affect the story in any significant way.

season 1 chapter 8 05

Moments later, Orion will gather up your entire team for a speech. Getting inspired by your team captain requires earning five stars within eight hours. One star is needed to pass.

season 1 chapter 8 07

Both Orion and your character have bonus progress actions tied to them. Prioritize these to save some energy and finish the task faster.

season 1 chapter 8 08

When you are done, Orion will remind everyone that you’ll be the one calling the shots during this match. Soon enough, he’ll ask everyone to move to the pitch.

season 1 chapter 8 10

Just before you leave the changing room, you will be given a choice. You can choose whose strategy you want to use. This will have a direct effect on the match and the story, but the gameplay mechanics will still be the same, regardless of the choice. Still, it is kind of advised to pick the strategy of the friend you like the most.

season 1 chapter 8 11

Soon after, you will get to play your first house match. The screen will display the cost of the match as well as the rewards.

season 1 chapter 8 12

Murphy will enthusiastically announce the match.

season 1 chapter 8 13

Moments later, players from both teams will fly onto the pitch.

season 1 chapter 8 15

The match will finally start.

season 1 chapter 8 16

Unlike the practice matches, this one will test your skills to the limit. The circles are moving at a much faster speed, and the time windows for maneuvers are generally shorter. Unlike practice matches, it is VERY important to try and win this game since the outcome of this match will HEAVILY influence the rest of the chapter. As a general rule, try your best to focus and take your time to finish maneuvers, especially during the ones that are not time-limited. As long as you try your best, you should be able to win the game.

season 1 chapter 8 17

Once you’re done with all of the maneuvers, Murphy will announce the outcome of the match.

Next, your team will gather in the Quidditch changing room for a meeting.

season 1 chapter 8 20 1

The rest of the Walkthrough for the chapter will feature the story of your team winning the first match. Still, any significant differences will be noted. When you enter the changing room, you will be able to interact with some of your teammates before continuing.

One of your teammates will ask you how you feel after the first match. You will have two options to choose from, and these will differ based on the outcome of the match, but they won’t influence the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick whichever one you want.

season 1 chapter 8 22

Orion will then ask everyone to gather around. This is when your teammates will either cheer happily or stand there looking depressed.

In any case, Orion will decide to say a few words about the match. Listening to your captain requires earning five stars within an hour. Since all of the stars are needed to pass, it is recommended not to start it if your energy is low.

season 1 chapter 8 27

There are bonus progress actions tied to Skye and your character, so focus on those if you are looking to save some energy.

season 1 chapter 8 28

When Orion finishes his speech, Murphy will arrive and announce the final score.

season 1 chapter 8 29

As it turns out, he wants to have a chat with you, but so do Skye and Orion.

season 1 chapter 8 30

Murphy will propose that all of you meet at the pitch. However, you’ll have to wait for six hours before that. Since there is no time limit on Quidditch chapters, it is recommended simply to wait until this timer expires.

season 1 chapter 8 34

When you are able to continue, head to the pitch to meet your friends. Moments after you arrive, you will notice that all of them are very eager to talk to you.

season 1 chapter 8 36

You will start explaining the decision you made during the match.

The friend whose move you chose for the match will thank you for it.

Not long after that, Face Paint Kid will arrive and ask you to hear him out. Listening to Face Paint Kid requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

season 1 chapter 8 44

Both you and Face Paint Kid have bonus progress actions tied to them. Needless to say, prioritize those to save a bit of energy.

season 1 chapter 8 45

When you are done, Face Paint Kid will say that all of you are pretty much heroes to your House. He’ll then ask all of you to come to the Great Hall and hang out with your housemates.

season 1 chapter 8 47

Without any hesitation whatsoever, all of you will agree to go there. Still, you’ll have to wait for a while (three hours to be precise) before everyone gathers in the Great Hall.

season 1 chapter 8 49

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Great Hall. Upon entering, you’ll be able to interact with some of your housemates before continuing. Regardless of the outcome of the match, Murphy will seem very happy just being here with friends.

season 1 chapter 8 52

As for Skye, she will be very happy if your House team ended up winning. If your team lost, she won’t be as excited, to say the least.

season 1 chapter 8 53

You’ll then get to reflect upon the match. Doing this requires earning five stars within three hours. All of the stars are needed to pass.

season 1 chapter 8 54

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character, Face Paint Kid, and Skye, which will make this task a bit easier to complete.

season 1 chapter 8 55

When you are done, Skye will ask if you’d pick the same move again if given the chance. If you went with Parkin’s Pincer before and you care about Skye, it is recommended to pick the first option.

season 1 chapter 8 56

Moments later, Erika Rath will enter the Great Hall, accompanied by two of her housemates. Once again, she will just glare at you without saying a word.

season 1 chapter 8 58

Murphy will remind you that you need to beat her team if you want to earn the Quidditch Cup for your House, still, in order to do that, all of you need to work as a team. Surprisingly enough, all of your Quidditch friends will agree with you. Orion will propose taking a break before starting the practice. Four-hour break to be precise.

season 1 chapter 8 65

Murphy will remind you that you need to beat her team if you want to earn the Quidditch Cup for your House. Still, in order to do that, all of you need to work as a team. Surprisingly enough, all of your Quidditch friends will agree with you. Orion will propose taking a break before starting the practice. Four-hour break, to be precise.

season 1 chapter 8 68

As always, try your best to win the game and earn some extra House points and energy. If you can get the perfect score for bonus rewards, even better.

season 1 chapter 8 69

When you are done, Skye will advise you to get your own broom, and frankly, she does have a point.

season 1 chapter 8 70

Orion will then ask all of your team to gather around for an announcement. But first, he will decide to tell you more about your next opponents. This requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.

season 1 chapter 8 73

Orion and one of your teammates have bonus progress actions linked to them. Prioritize these to save some energy.

season 1 chapter 8 74

Once you’re done with the task, your team captain will announce your next opponents.

season 1 chapter 8 76

Apparently, Skye will be a bit worried about this and once again, she will advise you to get a better broom.

season 1 chapter 8 78

Next, you’ll need to complete 2 Quidditch friendlies.

season 1 chapter 8 79

After that stressful match, these will feel like a walk in the park.

season 1 chapter 8 80

Once you’re done with the friendlies, Chapter 8 of Season 1 will come to an end. You will receive 200 Coins.

Now that you know who your next opponents are, you definitely need a better broom. But will you be able to acquire one in time for the match? And what kind of broom will you get? Find out in the next chapter of Quidditch.
