Season 2 Chapter 5

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Quidditch Season 2 Chapter 5 for Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous chapter, you informed Murphy about what happened with Rath in the Courtyard. He advised you to focus entirely on Quidditch and forget all of the drama since there’s a house match approaching and you need to be prepared for it. Later on, he taught you the Bludger Backbeat maneuver, which will undoubtedly come in handy during the upcoming match. Afterward, during one of your practices, you informed Skye about everything that happened lately. You noticed that she’s a bit off, and after asking her what’s the matter, she told you that her father got injured again while playing Quidditch. However, later on, when you talked to Penny and Face Paint Kid, you learned that Ethan Parkin wasn’t injured at all. Now the question is, why would Skye lie to you about her father? Is there something she doesn’t want to tell you? Hopefully, she will be ready to open up once you confront her about it. When you start the chapter, head to the Great Hall to meet with Murphy.

Once you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you want to check out what they have to say to you.

You’ll thank Murphy for inviting you for a game of chess. After all, you could use some distraction right now.

However, he has something entirely different on his mind.

He wants to teach you some strategy by the looks of it.

He’ll ask if you prefer playing offense or defense. This choice won’t impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick either option.

Murphy will then give you an important piece of advice.

He will ask you to play both offense and defense during this game of wizard chess.

Perhaps this is his way of teaching strategy?

Playing a game of wizard chess requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Murphy, your character, and the chessboard, which should save you some energy.

When you are done, you will make one final move.

Murphy will suddenly realize that this time, he won’t end up winning.

He’ll still be unable to believe that you’ve actually won.

He’ll even provide some statistical data.

You’ll cheekily reply that he’s the one who helped you win this match.

He’ll just sit there with a confused look on his face.

You’ll quickly provide an explanation.

Murphy will acknowledge your tactic and agree with the logic behind it.

He’ll also add that you can learn something from it and apply the same strategy in the upcoming Quidditch house match.

Once again, he will remind you to put everything else aside. After all, you need to remain focused in order to win the upcoming match.

Next, you’ll need to complete two Quidditch friendlies.

For these, you can feel free to select whichever position you prefer playing. However, you will play Beater in the upcoming match, so it might be a good idea to play Beater here and practice some of the maneuvers.

As usual, try your best to successfully complete all of the maneuvers in order to earn some nice rewards.

When you are done with these, Orion will ask you and the rest of your teammate to join for Quidditch practice. Head to the Quidditch pitch when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of your teammates before continuing.

You will ask one of your teammates if she had seen Skye around.

Sadly, she’s nowhere to be seen.

Even your teammate is kind of confused with Skye’s behavior.

Orion will approach the two of you, saying that Skye will be arriving soon.

He’ll then suggest having a moment of bonding until she arrives.

After all, you need to work as a team in order to win the upcoming house match.

Bonding with your teammates requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to your character and one of your teammates. Prioritize these if you’re looking to save some energy.

Your team captain will say a few words once you’re done.

He’ll then ask everyone to give the two of you some privacy.

Apparently, Orion noticed that something is bothering you.

He will ask if you want to share it with him. There are two options to respond with. If you like Orion, it is somewhat recommended to tell him what’s troubling you. Otherwise, feel free to pick either option.

Shortly after, Skye will arrive, eager to practice.

For the next practice match, you will need to play a Beater. The task window will show all the relevant information. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

You will notice that some of the Beater maneuvers are time-limited now. Still, you should have plenty of time to complete them, so don’t rush and try your best to hit all of the circles correctly.

Once you’re done with this one, you will be tasked with completing two Quidditch friendlies.

Similar to the previous ones, it is recommended to play Beater here and prepare for the upcoming match.

Focus on successfully completing all of the maneuvers in order to earn some useful rewards.

When you are done, Penny will inform you that the pre-match party will be starting in about three hours. Since there is no time limit on this chapter, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Training Grounds to attend the party.

When you get there, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re interested to see what they have to say.

Andre will be the first one to welcome you to the party.

This will come as a surprise since this is the first time you see him on one of the pre-match parties.

He’ll share an interesting piece of information with you.

He will be a bit sad since he doesn’t know anyone here.

You will smile and say that it is not entirely true.

Suddenly, Face Paint Kid will appear. Needless to say, Andre will be surprised to see him pop out of nowhere.

He’ll say that you need to discuss some things related to the upcoming house match.

Face Paint Kid will say a few things about your opponents.

Andre will comment that there’s a heavy burden on your shoulders now.

Face Paint Kid will agree with him. After all, this is your first house match as a Beater.

In any case, you will decide to party for a while and relax before the upcoming match.

This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Make sure to slide the screen left and right in order to see all of the available actions. The only 5-cost action here is tied to Face Paint Kid, so prioritize it whenever it is available in order to save some energy.

When you are done, Penny will tell you that everyone is eager to see you play Beater.

She’ll be curious to know how you’re feeling about the upcoming house match. There are two options to respond with. None of these will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

You will tell her that you have one last practice before the match starts.

She will wish you the best of luck before you leave.

As for the practice, proceed to the Quidditch pitch when you are ready.

Once there, you will get to chat a bit with some of your teammates before continuing.

Apparently, Orion wants all of you to practice some broom-balancing.

You will ask Skye if she wants to talk about what she said earlier.

Sadly, she doesn’t want to talk about it. At least not until the first house match is over.

Your team captain will start his speech.

He apparently understands how nervous everyone is prior to the first house match.

Orion will say a few more words of wisdom before the practice starts.

Releasing your fears requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are 5-cost actions linked to Orion and one of your teammates. Focus on these if you want to save some energy.

When you are done balancing, you will ask Skye once again if she wants to talk with you.

Sadly, she will cut you short and fly away.

Orion will then approach you. Apparently, he overheard your earlier conversation.

He will make an assumption and ask if he’s correct.

You will not, saying that she doesn’t want to talk about it until the house match is over.

Orion will ask you an interesting question. If you like Skye, it is recommended to pick ‘Friendship’ as an answer.

He will advise you to focus on the present.

You will agree with your team captain. After all, the most important thing is the upcoming match.

Moments later, the practice will start. For this one, you will need to play Beater. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Focus on completing all of the maneuvers successfully to earn some rewards.

Next, you will need to complete three Quidditch friendlies.

During these, you can play either Chaser or Beater. However, if you want to practice a bit for the upcoming match, then pick Beater.

Like before, try your best to successfully complete all of the maneuvers to earn some nice rewards.

When you are done, Orion will ask you to rest for a while until the match starts, which will be in around four hours. Since there’s no time limit on the chapter, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Quidditch changing room to continue.

You will get to check out what some of your teammates have to say when you arrive.

As it appears, Orion wants all of you to have a moment of vivification before the match starts.

Your team captain will then say a few words.

Listening to him requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Orion and one of your teammates. Prioritize these if you want to save a bit of energy.

Orion will say a few more words once you’re done.

He will remind everyone about the standings for the previous season.

Lastly, all of you will cheer together just before the match starts.

Moments later, Madam Hooch will arrive and inform you that your first house match is about to begin.

The task window will display the rewards and the cost of the match. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Murphy will start announcing the teams. First, he will welcome the opposing team.

Then, he will announce your house team.

During this match, you will have to perform several different maneuvers. Some of them will be time-limited, some won’t. Regardless, it won’t be too hard to win this match as long as you remain focused. Don’t rush, take your time with maneuvers, and you should be able to win.

Once the match ends, Murphy will announce the results.

This will mark the end of Season 2 Chapter 5 of Quidditch. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
