Season 3 Chapter 2
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Quidditch Season 3 Chapter 2 of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous chapter, there was a special guest at your Quidditch training – Ethan Parkin. During the practice, you learned that your team will play a friendly match against Rath’s team. You did your best to prepare, and both Penny and Face Paint Kid helped you with their knowledge. Later on, your team faced Erika’s team, and during the match, Rath accidentally hit Orion with a Bludger, which caused him to fall off his broom. Madam Hooch quickly rushed him to the Hospital Wing, and thankfully, his injuries weren’t severe. Unfortunately, both teams started arguing, and no one was able to calm them down. You then visited Orion in the Hospital Wing and learned that his physical injuries are completely healed. However, the injury has thrown him off balance, and he admitted that he cannot play Quidditch anymore until he finds his ‘spark’. Skye, Murphy, and you quickly decided to help him restore his balance, and now is the time to continue where you left off. Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready to meet with Orion.
[Disclaimer: Some of the tasks might have the different star and attribute requirements, depending on the Year you’re in. The following Walkthrough contains the images from Year 7, which pretty much has the highest requirements.]

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

Orion will tell you he is grateful for your help.

As always, you’ll be more than happy to aid him.

You’ll ask if he is ready to reignite his Quidditch spark.

He will nod and ask if you have any idea where to begin.

You’ll first ask if there’s something specific he feels he’s missing.

Orion will explain that everything started once he learned about the argument between the teams.

And as a captain, he felt it’s his duty to inspire peace and sportsmanship in all his teammates.

You’ll point out that they were arguing because they deeply care about him.

He’ll explain why it only makes things worse.

Orion will be curious to know what guides you to cooperate with your opponents. There are three options to choose from. These won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

You’ll tell Orion that your team needs him. You will also make it clear that you want to help him because he is your friend.

Orion will smile and say that you have the loyalty of a Kneazle.

This will give you an interesting idea.

You will remind Orion of the time he told you to emulate four magical creatures.

He’ll nod and say he remembers it very well.

You’ll say that every Quidditch player needs the defining traits of those four magical creatures – loyalty, patience, tenacity, and fire.

You’ll then decide to share your plan with Orion.

This requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

Normally, it would be recommended to earn a single star and wait for the timer to run out. However, you’ll need to complete some Quidditch friendlies afterward, which is why you should aim to finish this task as soon as possible. Also, there are 5-cost actions linked to both Orion and you, which should make this task slightly easier to complete.

Once again, you will tell Orion about the four magical creatures he told you to emulate.

You’ll remind him of the defining traits of all those creatures.

Orion will say that your teammates allowed fire and loyalty to overwhelm their patience and tenacity.

That is more than likely the reason why your friend feels off-balance.

Still, with some work, he should be able to restore his balance.

Orion will be impressed by your wisdom and ask about the next step of your plan.

You’ll tell him that you need a bit of help from your friends.

You will need to complete two Quidditch friendlies before you can continue.

During these, you can feel free to play any position you prefer. However, given that you’ll be playing Keeper during all of the house matches, you might as well select that position and practice it for a bit.

As always, try your best to successfully complete all of the maneuvers to earn the rewards.

Once you are done with the friendlies, you will have to wait three hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out.

Proceed to the Quidditch Pitch once the waiting time is over.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your teammates. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

Skye will ask if you had any luck helping your team captain.

You’ll tell her about your idea to help Orion practice patience, loyalty, tenacity, and fire.

She’ll seem to like that plan of yours.

Still, with or without Orion, you will have to continue practicing.

Sadly, the absence of your captain will be evident.

Skye will ask if you think you can make it through the season without a captain. There are three options to reply with. This choice will have a slight impact on one of the dialogues, but it won’t change the story significantly. If you like Orion, it is somewhat recommended to pick the third option.

Shortly after, your practice will start.

You’ll suggest starting with some broom-balancing.

Completing this task requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Skye and your character. Focus on those if you are looking to save some energy.

Once you’re done with the broom-balancing, Skye will admit she didn’t expect the team to successfully do one of Orion’s exercises without him.

You’ll be happy with the outcome of the practice, especially since no one fell off their broom.

The previous choice will take effect here.

In any case, Skye will point out how important it is to have Orion back.

You’ll ask if she has any idea to help your captain find patience, loyalty, tenacity, and fire.

She will advise you to take Orion to play some chess with Murphy. That will definitely be a good test of patience.

You will find her idea totally brilliant.

Skye will admit she was only joking when she made that suggestion.

However, having your captain play some chess is surely going to put his patience to the test.

You will decide to ask Murphy and Orion to meet you after the practice.

Speaking of practice, during this friendly, you will need to play Keeper. The task window will display all the relevant information, so hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Like before, try your best to successfully complete all the maneuvers to earn the rewards.

Once the practice is over, proceed to the Great Hall to meet with Murphy and Orion.

Once you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters.

Orion will thank you for inviting him for a game of wizard’s chess.

You’ll explain why you decided to do that.

Murphy will surely like the idea.

Your captain will admit that he isn’t very experienced with wizard’s chess.

Thankfully, Murphy’s an expert, so he should be able to help Orion learn it.

Murphy will admit that he’s flattered by your words.

However, given all the circumstances, he’ll say that he has a high chance of winning the game.

You’ll advise him not to underestimate his opponent.

Orion will take a look at the pieces. He’ll decide to name one of the ‘horses’ Steve.

Murphy will point out that the piece he’s looking at is a knight.

Your captain will say that it’s a horse named Steve.

Murphy will seem pretty annoyed by that.

In any case, you will suggest that they start playing wizard’s chess.

You’ll offer to help Orion along the way.

Coaching your captain requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Orion and the chessboard. Prioritize those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

In the end, despite your coaching, Murphy will end up a winner.

Orion will mimic McNully’s behavior and say that he disagrees with his initial assessment of his chance of winning. Needless to say, watching him speak that way will be very amusing.

Murphy will disagree with his disagreement. He will point out that Orion relied too much on his knight.

Your captain will remind him that the knight’s name is Steve and will say that he played a crucial role in capturing Murphy’s pawns.

He will even provide some statistical data to back up his statement.

Murphy will say that pawns aren’t as worth as other pieces.

Orion will quickly explain why he disagrees with him.

Murphy will turn to you and ask for your opinion on Orion’s commentating. There are two options to choose from. These won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick either one.

In any case, Murphy will point out that their game of wizard’s chess depleted most of Orion’s patience.

You’ll say that you’re surprised by your captain’s actions.

Orion will provide a rather vague explanation.

Murphy will think for a bit and advise you to focus on another aspect of Orion’s creature-inspired training.

You’ll be curious to know your captain’s opinion.

In an interesting way, he will say that he’s up for another training session.

You’ll happily inform him about the next part of your plan to reignite his Quidditch spark.

Before you can continue, you will need to complete two Quidditch friendlies.

Like before, you can feel free to play any position you prefer.

Once you are done, you will have to wait five hours until Erika is ready to meet with you. This chapter is not time-limited, which is why it’s recommended to wait until you’re able to proceed.

Head to the Training Grounds once the waiting time is over.

Orion and you will thank Erika for letting you practice with her.

She’ll calmly say it’s the least she can do for injuring your captain.

Orion will make it clear that he holds no grudges against her.

Rath will say she’s glad that he’s fully recovered.

However, she will be slightly confused since neither of you is playing Beater, and you still want to practice with her.

You’ll tell her that Orion is having trouble finding his balance.

You will also tell her about the four magical creatures.

You’ll go on and explain that hitting Bludgers might be a good way for Orion to find his tenacity.

Erika will seem to like the idea.

She’ll ask your captain to grab a bat and hit the Bludger as hard as possible.

He’ll nod, and moments later, the practice will start.

Training with Rath requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Rath and one training dummy. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

Erika will say she’s impressed by Orion’s skills.

He’ll thank her for praising him.

You’ll remind him of a time he said that you’re all Beaters.

He’ll just nod and calmly reply to you.

Rath will be surprised by his answer and she’ll ask if he’s all right.

You’ll explain that something similar happened during a game of wizard’s chess with Murphy.

Erika will admit that she doesn’t know much about McNully.

You’ll tell her it was Skye’s idea to have Orion play chess with Murphy.

Rath will ask if Skye knows that you came to her for help.

You’ll admit that you haven’t really told her every part of your plan.

Erika will remind you that Skye didn’t really like it when you asked her to train you. She will ask if you think she’ll act poorly again. There are three options to reply with. This choice will have some impact on a dialogue later on. If you like Skye, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Orion will say that Skye is driven by fire.

Perhaps her fire could help your captain restore his balance?

Proceed to the Quidditch Pitch when you are ready to meet with Skye.

Once you arrive, you’ll ask Orion if he is ready to reignite his fire.

He’ll calmly answer your question.

Skye will ask if there’s something wrong.

You’ll inform her about your training with Erika.

She will say it was a good idea to ask Rath for help.

The following few lines will differ, based on your previous choice.

You’ll say that there’s still some work to be done before Orion’s balance is completely restored.

Skye will say that he needs to get back on a broomstick as soon as possible.

Orion will once again give a calm reply.

You’ll suggest passing the Quaffle around.

Skye will find the idea ‘smashing’.

As for Orion, he will just silently stare at you.

In any case, he won’t say he disliked the idea, so all of you will quickly get on your brooms.

Passing the Quaffle requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass this task.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Skye and your character. Prioritize those if you are looking to save as much energy as possible.

Once you are done, Skye will ask Orion to pass the Quaffle.

He will pick it up and do as she asked.

You’ll successfully manage to catch the Quaffle.

Orion will praise you and say that you’ve done a ‘smashing’ job.

Skye will be slightly confused to hear him say that.

He’ll calmly say that she doesn’t own the word.

Shortly after, he will leave the pitch to prepare for the Potions class.

Needless to say, Skye will be curious to know what’s going on with him.

You’ll explain that Orion is acting like her.

She will ask if she’s really that insufferable. There are two options to reply with. If you like Skye, it is recommended to pick the second option.

You’ll tell her you hoped that your plan would help Orion find his balance.

Skye will point out that your plan isn’t really working out the way you wanted.

You’ll assume that he simply needs a bit more time.

Sadly, time is not on your side since you’ll soon have your first house match of the season.

And the first match will be against Erika’s team.

In any case, it will be up to the two of you to prepare the rest of the team.

This will conclude Chapter 2 of Season 3. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

Will Orion be able to regain his balance before the first house match of the season? Or will you have to play the match without your captain? Find out in the next chapter of Quidditch for Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
