Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for The Second Quidditch Cup Adventure for Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students who completed Season 2 Chapter 11 of Quidditch. During it, you will learn that Skye’s father Ethan Parkin, a famous professional Quidditch player, will be arriving at Hogwarts to watch the final Quidditch match. You will get the opportunity to meet and get to know him. And that’s not all. You also might get the chance to learn his ‘secret’ maneuver that will probably come in handy during the final match. Do you have what it takes to win the Quidditch Cup? Dive right in and find out. Once you start the adventure, Professor Dumbledore will ask every student to gather in the Great Hall for an announcement.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 6 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.]

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and check out what they have to say.

Murphy will happily greet you and ask if you are ready for the Headmaster’s announcement.

Since it is something related to the Quidditch Cup Finals, you definitely want to hear it.

Murphy will notice that Skye isn’t in the Great Hall.

You will start feeling awkward once he mentions your teammate’s name.

McNully will notice that something is amiss, and he’ll ask you about it.

You’ll explain what happened recently between you and Skye.

Murphy will want to know how you are feeling about it. There are two options to respond with. If you like Skye, it is somewhat recommended to pick the second option.

Moments later, the Headmaster will start his announcement.

Professor Dumbledore will stand in front of the lectern and say a few words about the Quidditch Cup final.

Apparently, the Quidditch rivalry between these two Hogwarts houses has quite the history.

Interestingly, it was Ethan Parkin who led your house team to victory twenty years ago. Also, it was the highest-scoring match in Hogwarts history.

Professor Dumbledore will happily announce that Ethan Parkin will return to Hogwarts to watch the Quidditch Cup final.

Murphy will be very excited to hear this news.

Unfortunately, you don’t know too much about Skye’s father, other than the fact that he is a professional Quidditch player.

Perhaps Murphy could tell you more about him and that legendary Quidditch match?

Thankfully, your friend will be more than happy to tell you everything about it.

Listening to Murphy requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to McNully and your character. Prioritize those if you are looking to save some energy.

As it seems, that match was quite extraordinary.

You’ll recall Murphy mentioning a move that Ethan Parkin used to secure a win for his team.

He will start explaining what he knows about it.

Apparently, there is a lot of mystery tied to that maneuver.

Needless to say, that maneuver would definitely come in handy for the upcoming Quidditch Cup final.

Moments later, Penny will approach you, full of excitement.

She’ll ask if you want to come with her to the Courtyard.

Apparently, there’s something she wants to ask you.

You’ll smile at her and agree to go with her to the Courtyard.

Proceed there when you are ready.

When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

Penny will start shouting excitedly as soon as you get to the Courtyard.

After shouting out loud for a while, she’ll be ready to talk.

Andre will comment on her shouting.

You’ll also add a funny remark.

As you probably already know, Penny is a huge Wigtown Wanderers fan, and a huge fan of Ethan Parkin as well.

As for Andre, his scarf says enough about his favorite Quidditch team.

However, he would be happy to meet a professional Quidditch player.

Penny will quickly say why she wanted to talk to you.

She’ll ask you to introduce her to Ethan Parkin. There are two options to respond with. This choice will be referenced later on, but it won’t heavily impact the outcome of the story, so feel free to pick either option. Keep in mind that Penny will be overjoyed if you pick the first option, so if you like her, it is recommended to pick that one.

You will then ask Penny to tell you more about Ethan Parkin.

Luckily for you, she is well-informed about this Quidditch star.

Learning about Ethan Parkin requires obtaining five stars within an hour. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Andre and your character. Prioritizing these should save you a bit of energy.

Once again, Penny will ask you to talk to Skye about meeting Ethan Parkin.

You will inform her that things between Skye and you aren’t really great.

If Rath is your friend, you will tell Penny that is the reason why Skye is mad at you. Otherwise, you will tell her that Skye is mad at you for asking Rath for help.

Your Hufflepuff friend will ask you about Skye’s feelings. There are three options to choose from. None of these will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, Orion will arrive looking for you.

You’ll be surprised to see him since you’ve already had all of your pre-match practices.

It appears that your team captain has a surprise in store for the whole team.

He’ll ask you to meet him in the Quidditch Changing Room.

Head there when you are ready.

When you arrive, you will notice Ethan Parkin talking to some of your teammates.

By the looks of it, Skye’s father already knows who you are.

You will be surprised to hear this.

Apparently, Skye’s told him everything about you.

You will notice that your teammate is very uncomfortable in this whole situation.

Ethan will assume you’ve heard of him.

Given that everyone’s been talking about him lately, it’s safe to assume that even Mrs. Norris knows about him. If you promised Penny you will introduce her to Ethan, you will be sure to tell him about her.

Skye’s dad will point out that one doesn’t get to meet professional Quidditch players every day.

Murphy will say that Ethan was about to talk about the last Quidditch Cup final.

Perhaps you could use some advice from the professional Quidditch player.

Listening to Ethan requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

The only 5-cost action is linked to Ethan, so focusing on his actions could save you a bit of energy.

Murphy will be fascinated by listening to this Quidditch star.

You will use the opportunity to ask Ethan about the mystery maneuver he performed to win the Quidditch Cup match twenty years ago.

Ethan will cleverly avoid the question by asking you about the upcoming Quidditch Cup final.

Orion will explain that you are well-prepared for the final match.

Skye’s dad will be interested to hear more about the drills your team went through.

Orion will tell him about your team’s final preparations.

Ethan will be shocked to hear that.

He will quickly ask everyone to take their brooms and head to the pitch.

You will notice that Murphy is pretty impressed by Skye’s father.

You’ll point out that Ethan cleverly dodged the question you asked him about the mystery maneuver.

McNully will agree with you about it.

He’ll also say that perhaps you should try and talk to Skye while you have the chance. He will even provide some statistical data for you.

You won’t be too happy about those odds.

Still, Murphy will ask if you think it’s worth a gamble. There are two options to respond with. If you like Skye, it is recommended to pick the first option. Bear in mind that you need friendship level 5 with her in order to select this choice.

Either way, Murphy will ask you to meet him in the Commentary Box once you’re done with practice.

If you chose the first option, you will approach Skye and ask if she’s willing to talk.

Unfortunately, she will simply say she can’t talk since it’s time for practice.
