A Scandal in Hogsmeade Part 4

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for A Scandal in Hogsmeade Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you talked to your friends about the plan to capture the thief. Eventually, you came up with the plan to use the sweets to lure out the culprit, and then use the Stupefy Charm. You went to Herbology classroom to set up the trap, and after waiting for a while, you heard the sound of someone eating the sweets. Upon taking a look, you figured out that the candies are no longer there, and the thief was nowhere to be seen. You realized that the culprit is likely invisible, and after discussing it with others, you figured out that the thief is probably a magical creature. You went to consult with Hagrid and after telling him everything you know about the culprit, he figured out you are most likely after a Demiguise. You learned that the creature is incredibly intelligent, and it possesses the power to predict the future. Because of that, you had to come up with an unpredictable plan to capture it. You decided to coat some of the sweets in sleeping draught and place a fake trap to lure the creature. That way, it would likely only eat the candies around the trap, and once the sleeping draught takes effect, you would be able to capture the creature. Now is the time to inform Andre, Jules, and Penny of your plan. Proceed to the Potions classroom when you are ready.

Jules will tell you she wasn’t able to reach her parents.

You’ll inform them that the culprit is a Demiguise. The name you picked for the thief will be referenced here.

Andre will be surprised to hear that.

You will point out some facts about the Demiguise.

Penny will be amazed by your skillful deduction.

Jules will wonder how a Demiguise ended up in Hogsmeade.

She’ll regret not figuring it out earlier and saving everyone the trouble.

You’ll chuckle and say that all of you had great fun while investigating the case.

Jules will agree with you on that.

She’ll tell you that the Demiguise was her favorite magical creature while she was little.

Since she was very shy, oftentimes, she wished she had the power to be invisible.

You will point out that she’s definitely not shy anymore.

Still, you will wonder why she wanted to be invisible all the time.

She’ll admit she didn’t think anyone could ever like her for who she was.

She will ask if you’ve ever felt that way before. There are two options to reply with. There is no right or wrong answer here. Simply be honest and select the option that fits your character’s personality.

Jules will say she outgrew that feeling and learned to be comfortable with who she is.

Andre will apologize to her for not doing anything to help.

Jules will smile at him and say that he inspired her to change and embrace her inner, fabulous self.

You will be glad that she found the confidence to be herself.

You’ll say that her confidence and knowledge will be helpful with capturing the Demiguise.

Jules will gladly offer her help.

She’ll say that the Demiguise is extremely hard to catch since it can predict the future.

Penny will be surprised to hear that.

You’ll tell her not to worry since you have a plan to catch the Demiguise.

You will tell her that you need her help to brew a sleeping draught.

To brew a sleeping draught, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is recommended to avoid starting this task if your energy is low.

There are two 5-cost actions tied to Penny, so focus on her actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.

After brewing it for a while, the sleeping draught will be ready.

All that’s left is to coat some candy with it and set up a trap for the Demiguise.

Jules and Penny will like your plan.

Andre will be curious if the creature will be visible while sleeping.

You will nod and say that you can easily capture the Demiguise once it’s asleep.

Soon enough, you will be able to put the plan into motion.

You will need to wait two hours until you can continue. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Head to the Herbology classroom once the waiting time is over.

You will decide to go over the plan again and make sure everything is prepared.

You’ll ask Penny if the candy has been coated in sleeping draught.

She’ll confirm it.

You will turn to Andre and ask if the decoy trap is in place.

He’ll nod.

You’ll also ask if a trail of candy is set out.

Jules will confirm it.

You will be happy that everything is in place.

Penny will say she did some research and found out that the Demiguise is classified as XXXX Creature.

She will be worried that someone might get hurt if things go south.

Jules will reassure her Demiguises are harmless herbivores.

You will kindly ask her to tell you more about those magical creatures.

She’ll happily agree to your request.

Learning about Demiguises requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are two 5-cost actions tied to Jules. Prioritize her actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.

You’ll ask Jules if a harmless creature can still be classified as XXXX.

She will nod and say that an XXXX classification can mean that the magical creature is hard to catch.

You will admit that catching the Demiguise hasn’t been easy at all.

Penny will be curious to know how the Demiguise traveled to Hogsmeade from Asia.

She’ll ask if you have any idea about it. There are three options to reply with. Other than some minor dialogue differences, this choice won’t significantly impact the story, so you can feel free to pick the option you prefer.

In any case, Jules will decide to take the Demiguise back to Japan with her once you catch it.

Moments later, Andre will hear some strange noise.

You will turn around and spot the Demiguise soundly sleeping near the trap.

Now that the creature has been caught, you can safely say that the mystery is solved.

If you’ve completed Chapter 2 of Year 7, you will get some additional lines of dialogue.

You will thank your friends for helping you solve the case.

The name that you chose for the thief will be referenced here.

Next, you will need to go to Hogsmeade Station to say goodbye to Jules. Proceed there when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

You will be surprised to see Jules leaving so soon.

She will tell you it is time for her to get home. Also, she needs to bring the Demiguise home, too.

She’ll ask you to keep Hogsmeade fabulous.

Thankfully, you know a style wizard who can help you with that.

Andre will be sad that his cousin didn’t get to see Hogsmeade.

You will correct him and say that Jules did see Hogsmeade.

She will nod and say that she visited all the best places in Hogsmeade during the investigation.

Still, Andre will be unsure if Jules was able to get a proper look at anything.

You will suggest recounting the trip.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are 5-cost actions linked to your character, Jules, and Madam Puddifoot. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

Jules will explain that she was able to not only see the Three Broomsticks and Zonko’s, but also help Madam Rosmerta and Bilton Bilmes.

And not many people get to do that on their first trip to Hogsmeade.

On top of that, Jules also got to sneak around Hogwarts at night.

She will look forward to telling other people about the adventure.

Andre will admit that his cousin had fun during the trip.

Still, she will find it hard to choose the favorite part of her visit.

She will turn to you and ask about your favorite part of the trip. There are three options to choose from. If you like Jules, it is somewhat recommended to select the second option.

Jules will admit that she enjoyed spending time with her favorite cousin.

Andre will say that spending time with his favorite cousin was the best part of the trip for him, too.

You will thank him for letting you be an honorary Egwu.

Andre will tell you that you’ll always be an honorary Egwu. He’ll say that the two of them made you a small keepsake.

Jules will say that they got some butterscotch from Madam Rosmerta, which they used to craft a special gift for you.

She will show you the butterscotch statue shaped like a Demiguise.

You will find it absolutely adorable.

You’ll ask Jules if she had the chance to try some Butterbeer.

She’ll nod and say that Madam Rosmerta truly makes the best Butterbeer in the Wizarding World.

She was even kind enough to prepare a pint for Jules to enjoy during her trip home.

Before leaving, Jules will say she had a lovely time. She will thank Andre and you for accepting her for who she is.

You’ll say that you like her just the way she is. After all, no one should have to feel invisible.

You’ll tell her to visit again whenever she gets the chance.
