Adventures in Curse-Breaking Part 1
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Adventures in Curse-Breaking for Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of Year 6 and above. During this one, you will learn that Bill has an important Gringotts assignment. Not just that, but it also involves dragons! Will you be able to convince him to accept your help and take you along for this assignment? There’s only one way to find out! Proceed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom once you start the adventure.

Upon arriving, you will get to interact with some of your classmates and check out what they have to say to you.

By the looks of it, Bill has sort of a different lesson planned for today.

Apparently, Penny asked him about his new job, and he’s all up for sharing some of his experiences with the rest of you.

The most powerful witch at Hogwarts won’t be too interested in hearing about it.

However, you will manage to convince her.

After all, Bill is a professional Curse Breaker.

Merula will be curious to know if the job pays well.

By the looks of it, your Weasley friend is not complaining.

As for Merula, that’s all she wanted to know.

Bill will then turn to you and ask if you have any questions. There are three options to choose from. While none of these will have any effect on the outcome of the adventure, this might be a good idea to learn a bit more about the curse-breaker profession, so feel free to pick the question you find the most interesting.

Shortly after, Bill will agree to let everyone ask him more about his work. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

The only 5-cost action here is tied to Bill. Prioritize his actions if you are looking to save a bit of energy.

When you are done, Charlie will excitedly comment on something Bill said. After all, the dragons were involved.

This will also make you want to hear about it.

Apparently, his next assignment involves visiting the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary.

Charlie will be very eager to join his brother for this assignment.

Unfortunately, that’s not really an option. At least not according to Bill.

You will try to convince your friend to bring some help. After all, the dragons are very dangerous creatures, and he could definitely use some help.

Sadly, Bill won’t be willing to accept your help just like that.

Charlie will try to convince him one more time.

However, Bill will just dismiss the class and walk away.

Needless to say, Charlie will be disappointed.

Perhaps there is something you can do to convince him? Maybe you could come up with some sort of plan?

Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready.

When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the students. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say.

Charlie will be wondering why his brother doesn’t want to take him along. There are three options to respond with. None of these will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

He’ll then mention what happened in the Buried Vault during the previous year. This dialogue will be a bit different based on whether Charlie was with you back then or not.

Now you’ll be even more interested to go.

After all, there is still another cursed vault to find, and helping Bill could prepare you for what’s to come.

According to Charlie, you just have to convince him.

Unfortunately, this is easier said than done.

You’ll suggest reviewing all of your options before you do anything drastic.

Forging a plan requires earning five stars within an hour. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task with an empty energy bar.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Charlie and your character. Focus on these if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, you’ll realize you don’t have any solid plan to convince Bill.

Charlie will suggest using a Polyjuice Potion.

Sadly, that potion takes a long time to make, so that option is off the table.

Charlie will have another “interesting” idea.

In the end, you’ll agree to nicely ask Bill and hope for the best.

Head to Gringotts Wizarding Bank when you are ready.

When you arrive, you’ll get to interact with some of the characters before continuing.

Both you and Charlie will be amazed by the place.

You’ll notice Bill standing on the opposite end of the hall.

However, before you’re able to approach him, one of the goblins will stop you.

You’ll be asked where you’re going. There are three options to reply with. While all of these will end up with the same outcome, some of the options will lead to quite interesting dialogue lines, so be sure to check it out.

Moments later, Bill will approach and he’ll be very surprised to see you.

Both you and Charlie will try to explain why you came to visit him.

Bill’s boss, Griphook, will be interested to hear more.

You will quickly start explaining.

Bill will again try to tell you that he simply cannot take you along.

As for Griphook, he will mention one of the goblin smiths, Urgruff the Unwary.

He will then proceed to tell you more about him.

Apparently, this goblin was very interested in dragons.

By the looks of it, this story is related to Bill’s next assignment.

Learning more about it requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting the task if you’re out of energy.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all of the available actions. There are 5-cost actions tied to Griphook and Bill.

It looks like Bill is the one that is supposed to recover Urgruff’s egg. Also, he’ll be using the Portkey to get there.

Both you and Charlie will quickly offer to help.

According to Griphook, there might be a way for you to help Bill.

Your friend will at least be reasonable enough to agree to let you help him study dragons.

He’ll ask you to meet him at the Hog’s Head Inn.

Proceed there when you’re ready.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to chat with some of the characters and check out what they have to say.

Bill will thank you for helping him study. However, he still won’t be willing to take you along.

There are three options to reply with. While each of these choices will end up with the same outcome, Bill will appreciate it the most if you pick the second option.

Eventually, you will decide to start studying.

This will require earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so if you are low on energy, it is recommended not to start this task.

There are 5-cost actions linked to your characters. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, Bill will thank you for helping him study.

Charlie and you will once again try to convince him to take you along.

Unfortunately, before he could answer, Aberforth will approach you and say a few words.

Bill will be confused by this new policy.

In the end, you’ll decide to order another drink.

Apparently, Aberforth overheard some parts of your conversation. According to him, Professor Dumbledore was quite interested in dragons as well.

Bill will suddenly remember something.

It seems that he won’t be able to make it for the next lesson.

You will cheekily smile and propose a solution.

He’ll be hesitant to accept it at first.

But after a little push from Charlie, he’ll agree.

Still, there is a catch. Bill is too busy to organize the field trip, so that responsibility will fall onto you.

You will accept his condition without even a moment of hesitation.

This will conclude Part 1 of Adventures in Curse-Breaking. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

Bill has finally accepted to take you and your friends along. But now you have to organize everything. Will you be able to do it before the Portkey activates? Find out in the next part of this exciting adventure!
Thank you for reading.
