Adventures in Curse-Breaking Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Adventures in Curse-Breaking of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you informed your friends about the trip to the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary. While some of them were pretty hesitant to go at first, Charlie and you convinced them to join. You then went on to prepare for the upcoming trip.
Hagrid was kind enough to let you borrow his camping supplies, while Professor Kettleburn shared some of his wisdom and gave you important advice on how to survive while camping near dragons. Then, you and your friends met with Bill at the Training Grounds and used the Portkey to travel to the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary.

Walkthrough
When you start this part, you will find yourself in a completely new location. This location will now be unlocked for you, and you will even get a new free-energy spot you can utilize by tapping on a dragon on the right side of the screen. The recharge time for it should be 24 hours.
Proceed to the Clearing when you are ready. Upon arriving, you and your friends will land at the location. You’ll instantly gasp in awe at the magnificence of the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary.
There will be several different dragons flying around and needless to say, Charlie will be overjoyed. You will instantly recognize a Norwegian Ridgeback.
Charlie will spot a Welsh Green on the other side.
Bill will notice another fierce-looking dragon.
You’ll instantly recognize it as Hungarian Horntail. Penny will remember that one from the Buried Vault, and Bill will say it’s not wise to provoke that dragon. You have two options to respond with. None of these will influence the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick either one.
Shortly after, Charlie will ask if you should split up in order to cover more ground. However, this is not wise, especially since you still have to set up the camp.
Speaking of a camp, you’ll suggest setting it up. Setting up camp requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right in order to see all of the available actions. There are bonus actions tied to Barnaby and Bill. Prioritize these to save some energy.
When you are done, the camp will be all set just before nightfall, and Bill will ask you to set up the wards. Trace the wand movement to cast the protective ward.
Penny will thank you for setting up the wards, and even Merula will smile and admit that she likes the campsite. Charlie will suggest toasting some marshmallows, and Penny will happily agree to his proposition. There is a waiting period of three hours before you can proceed. Like before, wait until this timer expires and let your energy regenerate in the meantime.
Return to the clearing once the waiting time is over. You’ll be able to interact with some of your friends before continuing. You’ll join your friends at the campfire and comment on your current situation.
Barnaby will suggest sharing scary stories, and this does seem like a nice idea. Bill will offer to share one work-related story, apparently involving a mummy. Unfortunately, Charlie will unintentionally spoil the story.
Obviously, Penny is not much of a fan of scary stories, but Barnaby insists on sharing some, and your Hufflepuff friend will be curious to know what’s so interesting about them. There are two options to respond with. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.
Penny will be the first one to start a story.
The only one who will find her story scary is Merula.
Barnaby will finally put the dots together.
Suddenly, you’ll hear a dragon roaring.
Poor Penny will be terrified by this, but you will give everyone a good enough reason to continue telling the stories.
Barnaby will decide to share one. Listening to Barnaby’s story requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are reward actions tied to Barnaby. Focus on his actions if you want to save a bit of energy.
Once you finish the task, Barnaby will say a few closing words.
By the looks of it, Penny got properly scared by his story.
Even the most powerful witch at Hogwarts will give him credit for it, and once again, the dragon will roar loudly.
Hopefully, the wards will be able to protect you. Following that, Merula will suggest going inside the tent. Head inside the tent when you are ready. When you get in, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. You’ll point out that there is plenty of space inside the tent.
Charlie will comment on that.
You’ll also notice that Hagrid has left some of his rock cakes, and Bill will suggest getting some sleep since you’ll need to look for Urgruff’s egg tomorrow, but Merula will be the first one to object to this.
Penny, by the looks of it, is still scared by Barnaby’s story, so she definitely isn’t sleepy, and you’ll suggest staying up for a while longer, perhaps playing a game of Truth or Dare to keep you awake for a while. This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Because of that, avoid starting the task if you are out of energy.
There are bonus actions linked to Penny and your character. Prioritize these if you want to save a bit of energy.
When you are done, Penny will say it’s your turn, and this time you have to pick the truth. She’ll ask you an interesting question.
You can choose between Penny, Barnaby, and Merula. This choice won’t affect the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick the one you prefer. Besides, you will get some interesting lines of dialogue.
Moments later, it will be Merula’s turn, and she’ll ask you to give her a dare. Charlie will whisper an interesting dare for her.
Merula will be quite hesitant to eat one of Hagrid’s rock cakes at first, but being the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts, she won’t back down from a dare.
Next, it will be Bill’s turn, and Penny will mention that Bill has to pick the truth this time. Merula will instantly come up with an interesting question.
Needless to say, Charlie will not like it. However, rules are rules, so Bill will start telling a story.
Suddenly, the entire tent will burst into laughter, and poor Charlie will get angry at everyone for laughing at him.
Bill will then continue telling the rest of the story.
Once again, the sound of cheerful laughter will fill the tent and Charlie will get even angrier this time.
He’ll get so upset that he will leave the table.
Bill will regret telling the story, and even Merula will admit she’s at fault. You’ll consider talking to Charlie, but Bill will suggest giving him some space, and he’ll also add that it’s time to get some rest. There is another waiting period of three hours. Since you are likely out of energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Once you are able to continue, proceed to Welsh Green Nest to search for the egg. When you arrive, you can interact with some of the characters before continuing. Shortly after, Bill will gather everyone and point at the Welsh Green Dragon.
If you adopted the Welsh Green, you’re in for some additional lines of dialogue.
Bill will suggest studying it from a distance. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus actions linked to Welsh Green. Prioritize its actions to save some energy.
According to Bill, it will be too dangerous to move any closer. However, Merula, on the other hand, will think otherwise.
Unfortunately for her, Bill is in charge of this field trip, and he won’t allow anyone to get in danger. This is when you’ll notice that Charlie is missing.
Unfortunately, no one will know where he is, and Bill will ask when was the last time you saw his brother. Apparently, he never came back to the tent after leaving, and poor Bill will start panicking.
You will reassure him that you’ll do everything in your power to find Charlie. Bill will finally calm down and agree with you. Still, there’s the matter of finding the egg.
However, finding Charlie is far more important.
With this, Part 3 of Adventures in Curse-Breaking will conclude. Hit Collect to claim your reward.
What happened to Charlie? Where did he run off? Will you be able to find him? Get the answers to all of these questions and more in the fourth and final part of this exciting adventure!
