An Enchanted Kiss Part 1

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for An Enchanted Kiss Adventure for Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above. During it, Professor Dumbledore will announce that a play will be performed at Hogwarts for the first time in years. More importantly, the play features two love interests, so you will decide to audition for it, in hope of being cast as one of the leads alongside your crush. Once you start the adventure, you will have 4 days and 13 hours to complete it. Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready to hear the Headmaster’s announcement.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in. Also, the walkthrough will feature Merula as the protagonist’s crush. Any significant story differences with other crush options will be pointed out.]

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

You’ll ask your friends if they have any idea what the announcement is about.

Penny will hope it is something romantic.

On the other hand, Merula is hoping that the Headmaster will announce a dueling competition. That way, she will be able to prove to everyone she’s the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts.

Your Hufflepuff friend will be curious to know what you are hoping for. There are two options to choose from. If you like Penny, it is recommended to pick the first one. If you like Merula, you should choose the second option.

Moments later, Professor Dumbledore will start his announcement.

He will welcome everyone and say that years ago, Hogwarts attempted to organize a play based on the tale called “The Fountain of Fair Fortune”.

Unfortunately, things didn’t really go as planned.

You will be shocked to learn that a play caused so much damage.

Both Penny and Merula will comment on that.

Professor Dumbledore will go on and say that following the incident, the previous Headmaster Armando Dippet placed a blanket ban on all plays.

However, he’ll announce that Professor Flitwick convinced him to lift the ban and agree to let him organize another play.

You’ll be very excited to hear that.

Penny will also look forward to it.

Even Merula will find it hard to hide her excitement.

The Headmaster will allow Professor Flitwick to say a few words about the play.

You will immediately notice that he looks very happy about being given the opportunity to share his original dramatic work with the students of Hogwarts.

Given that the tale is about springtime romance, only students of year five and above will be able to audition for the play.

On top of that, the two leads will get to share an intimate scene in which they proclaim their love.

You’ll feel very excited about the play.

Penny will be curious to hear your opinion about the leads. There are two options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick either option.

You’ll ask her if she would be interested in playing one of the lead roles.

She will say that she would only be willing to do it alongside someone she fancies.

She’ll shyly admit she’s hoping that the two of you get to be in the play together. If Penny was your date during some of the previous romantic adventures, you will get some additional lines of dialogue.

You will thank her for the kind words.

Penny will turn to Merula and ask if having to perform in a play would make her nervous.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will agree with Penny and say that she could only confess her feelings on the stage to someone she likes.

She will smile and add that you would be the perfect candidate for starring in one of the lead roles along with her.

If you dated Merula during some of the previous romantic adventures, you’ll get some extra lines of dialogue.

Penny will notice that everyone else is talking about the play. She’ll be curious to know what others are thinking about it.

You’ll suggest asking them.

Finding out what other people think requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are 5-cost actions linked to Talbott and Chiara. Prioritize their actions if you want to save some energy.

By the looks of it, many of your friends are very excited about the play. Not only that, but they will also be interested in auditioning for one of the leads.

That entails having to confess one’s feelings in front of the whole school.

You will admit that you’ve never confessed feeling of true love to anyone… yet.

Merula will point out that it would only be acting.

However, starring alongside someone you fancy would feel more than acting to you.

Still, it’s far too early to think that much ahead, since you haven’t even auditioned yet.

You’ll decide to talk to Professor Flitwick in order to learn more about the play.

Proceed to the Charms Classroom when you are ready.

You will arrive just before Professor Flitwick dismisses the class.

Once the students leave the classroom, you will ask the Professor for a moment of his time to discuss his play.

He’ll be happy to answer any of your questions.

He will admit that “Equinox Enchanted” is his finest work.

You’ll be glad to hear that.

You and your friends will say that you’re all looking to audition for the lead role.

Merula will cheekily say that having the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts on stage would be a great honor.

You will quickly “translate” her words.

Professor Flitwick will be happy to advise you.

He will point out some important things about auditions. You can choose to ask him about one of those. This choice will have a slight impact on some dialogue lines, but it won’t affect the outcome of the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Merula will be interested to learn more about the plot of the play.

Professor Flitwick will explain that the story revolves around a heroic Spring Nymph who stops the Winter Sprite from bringing everlasting cold, and in the process, the two of them fall in love.

You will find the story very exciting.

Merula will say that she finds the threat of everlasting cold fascinating.

This time, Chiara will be the one to “translate” her words.

The Professor will hope that the actors will do his play justice.

He will ask if you are comfortable displaying honest emotions on stage. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to go with the option you prefer.

You will thank Professor Flitwick for taking the time to talk to you about the play.

He will wish you the best of luck before leaving the classroom.

Chiara will say she is happy that you are auditioning for the play. She’ll add that she is also going up for one of the leads.

You’ll smile and say there is a chance both of you will be cast for the lead roles.

She’ll shyly say that she would feel safer on stage alongside you. If you dated Chiara during one of the previous romantic adventures, you will get some extra lines of dialogue.

You’ll admit that you’re moved by her kind words.

Merula will point out that all of you still need to audition for the play.

You will suggest helping each other prepare.

Preparing for the audition requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s recommended not to start this task with an empty energy bar.

The only 5-cost action here is tied to a notebook lying on the desk. Focus on that one if you are looking to save a bit of energy.

You will ask your friends if they are ready for their audition.

Chiara will nod and thank you for being so helpful.

As for Merula, she will make it clear she is more than ready for her audition.

Shortly after, all of you will head to the Great Hall.

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

You will notice Diego standing nearby, so you’ll ask if he is also auditioning.

He will shake his head and say that Professor Flitwick appointed him as Choreographer and Assistant Director.

You will congratulate him and say that he’s definitely up to the task.

He’ll thank you and ask if you are auditioning for one of the leads.

You’ll be curious to know how he figured it out.

Diego will say that you have a lot of charisma, which makes you perfect for the lead role.

He’ll also inform you that Professor Flitwick admired your initiative.

In other words, you have a solid chance of being selected for one of the leads.

You’ll admit that you are new to acting, so you’ll ask Diego if he could give you some tips before your audition.

He will be happy to help. Thankfully, he knows how to help you loosen up.

He’ll say that he can teach you some movement techniques.

Learning theatre movement requires earning five stars within three hours. All stars are needed to pass, which is why you should avoid starting the task if your energy is low.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Diego, Barnaby, and Andre. Prioritize their actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.

You will sum things up once Diego is done teaching you.

Diego will also say a few words.

He will advise you to expect the unexpected while on the stage.

He’ll then ask you to warm up by performing a pratfall.

You will give it a try.

Diego will be impressed by your performance.

You’ll suddenly feel a surge of confidence.

Diego will ask if there’s someone you’d prefer to be your co-star.

You’ll take a look around before making a decision. This is the MOST IMPORTANT decision in the whole adventure. This choice will have a huge impact on the rest of the story. Slide the screen left and right and tap on the exclamation mark above the person you fancy. The choices (from left to right) are: Jae, Barnaby, Chiara, Andre, Talbott, Badeea, Penny, and Merula.

Once you select one of them, you’ll say that you’d love to co-star with that person.

If that person was your date during one of the other romantic adventures, it will be mentioned here.

Diego will mention that you’ll be confessing true love to that person in front of everyone at Hogwarts.

He will ask if you are sure about your choice. This is the last chance to change your mind. If you accidentally made a wrong selection, or you simply want to change your mind, be sure to pick the second option. If you are ABSOLUTELY SURE about your decision, select the first option.

Diego will say that he’ll try to help you and your crush get the starring roles.

However, in order for that to happen, you will need to impress Professor Flitwick with your audition.

You will say that you’re feeling more than ready to take the stage.

Diego will wish you the best of luck.

Professor Flitwick will say that Barnaby and you will be auditioning together.

You will be given the role of the Spring Nymph while Barnaby will play the part of the Winter Sprite.

Moments later, your audition will start.

You will confidently embrace your role.

Unfortunately, Barnaby will have some trouble reciting his lines.

He will turn towards you and say that he forgot his lines. You can advise him to make something up, or you can choose to go with the flow and improvise. While this choice will affect some of the dialogue lines, both options will lead to a similar outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

The following lines will differ, based on your choice.

Professor Flitwick will stop your audition and say that both of you went completely off script.

Barnaby will apologize and say that he forgot his lines.

You will point out that you didn’t let the slip-up stop you.

The following few lines will differ, based on your previous choice.

Professor Flitwick will say that only the best actor can master improvisational skills.

You will ask if that means you got the roles.

The Professor will say that you had a remarkable audition. However, he will need some time to make final casting decisions.

You will thank him before leaving the Great Hall.

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard once you are ready to continue.

When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Badeea will greet you and ask if you’re also awaiting Professor Flitwick’s casting announcement.

You will nod and say you’re curious who will get the lead roles. If Badeea was your date during some of the previous romantic adventures, you will get some extra lines of dialogue.

She will be interested to know why you want to be in the play. There are three options to reply with. These won’t impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to take your pick.

You’ll then ask Badeea the same question.

She’ll say she wants to explore all forms of artistic expression. She will also tell you that Professor Flitwick asked her to design and paint the sets, so even if she doesn’t get the role, she’ll still be able to participate.

You will congratulate her and say that she’s the perfect witch for the job.

Unfortunately, she has a lot of work to do in order to complete all the sets in time.

You will happily offer to help her.

Badeea will smile and gladly accept your help.

Designing sets with Badeea requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Badeea and the table. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

Badeea will wholeheartedly thank you for helping her design the sets.

You will say that all fifteen of them look just the way Flitwick wants.

Badeea won’t be sure if she’ll be able to paint all of the sets in time.

Still, she’ll be determined to give it her best and make the Professor proud.

You will then notice Professor Flitwick arriving in the courtyard.

He will happily greet you.

He’ll be glad to see Badeea working on the sets.

She’ll tell him you helped her finish the designs.

You’ll ask the Professor if he decided who will play the lead roles.

He’ll smile and say that he made the decision.

He’ll inform you that you’ve been given the role of the Spring Nymph.

You will be thrilled to hear that.

On top of that, the person you fancy was given the role of the Winter Sprite.

Professor Flitwick will say that both you and your crush had outstanding auditions. As it seems, Diego also said a few words to help the Professor with his decision.

You’ll be immensely happy to hear that both you and the person dear to your heart were selected for the lead roles. If Badeea is your crush, you will get some additional lines of dialogue.

Professor Flitwick will say he is looking forward to seeing you perform on stage.

You will have to do your best to convince the audience that you and your crush have genuine feelings for each other.

You will smile and tell the Professor you won’t let him down.
