Part 1 Animagus Adventure – Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery Walkthrough

Hello everyone, welcome to Part One of our Animagus Event Walkthrough for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. This event is available to all Year 3 (and above) students. You will notice that there is a side quest available. Open it and hit the Start button to begin this amazing adventure!

Proceed to the Great Hall to meet your friends. You’ll notice that some of the characters have speech bubbles above them. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

Tulip will inform you that Barnaby and she were discussing a Ravenclaw student named Talbott Winger.

After talking for a while and listening to some rather hilarious things, you’ll find out that he is attempting to brew an Animagus Potion. The idea of becoming one sure sounds great. Tulip will then ask why would you want to become an Animagus. You have three response options.

Each choice will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer the most. You’ll then get the task to ask around and hopefully, learn more about Talbott. This task requires you to earn five stars within one hour. Keep in mind that in order to pass any task during this event, you need to earn all the stars. Because of that, starting with full energy might be a good idea.

Do this like any other story task so far. Complete actions by tapping on the glowing objects in order to fill up the star meter which will eventually earn you stars.

When you are done, your character will have a conversation with Talbot during which he will ask if it is true you got into Filch’s Office. You can answer in three different ways.

Each of the answers will lead to the same outcome, so it is recommended that you pick either first or the third one as long as you meet the attribute requirements. Afterward, you will learn that Talbott and you have a mutual friend. You can respond to this in three ways.

As before, each option will award you with five attribute points. None of these will impact the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick the choice you like the most. Your next task will be to meet Talbott near Filch’s Office. Hit the GO button and proceed there.

After talking to him for a bit, you’ll get the task to search for the chrysalis of a Death’s-Head Hawk Moth. To complete this one, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all the stars are needed to pass, having full energy prior to starting it is highly recommended.

It should take you around fifty energy to complete this task, so as long as you didn’t start with empty energy, you won’t have any problem with this one.

Once you earn all the stars, you’ll talk to Talbott a bit more and then you’ll receive the task to meet him in the Artefact Room.

When you get there, he’ll explain how to get the next ingredient. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. As soon as you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

Like before, you should be able to complete this task with around fifty energy more or less. As always, focus on the actions with the high cost in order to optimize the energy usage.

Your next task involves getting a Mandrake Leaf from Herbology. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Herbology Classroom to meet Talbott.

Once you get there, you’ll learn that your mutual friend is Penny Haywood. This will come as quite the shock and Talbott will be curious why you are so surprised. You have three response options.

All of the choices lead to the same outcome, so as long as your Knowledge is level fifteen or higher, it is recommended to pick the second option in order to maximize the attribute points gain. After some rather comical conversation, you’ll be tasked with finding a Mandrake Leaf. To complete it, you need to earn five stars within three hours.

Follow the same steps you did in the previous tasks and you’ll be done before you know it.

When you are done, Talbott will tell you that Penny knows how to brew an Animagus potion, so the two of you should bring the ingredients to her.

This will also be the end of the first part of the Animagus event. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward.
