Part 3 Animagus Adventure – Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery Walkthrough

Hello everyone, welcome to Part Three of our Animagus Event Walkthrough for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, with a help of your friends, you managed to create an Animagus potion. Also, you successfully stashed it inside the Potions Classroom where it should stay until the next electrical storm.

Now, you have to learn the Animagus spell. Lucky for you, Talbott should be able to teach you this one. Head to the Charms Classroom to meet him.

Learning this spell requires you to earn five stars within eight hours. Since all the stars are required to pass, it is strongly recommended to have full energy before starting.

For this task, there are only two available highlighted objects to tap on – Talbott and your character. If you tap on him, the actions will alternate between four and two energy cost. However, tapping on your character will alternate the actions between five and three energy cost, and it will fill up more of the star meter per point of energy spent. Simply said – constantly complete the actions highlighting your character since this will finish the task faster.

Once you are done, you will cast the spell and then your chest will start glowing for a bit.

Talbott will explain that you need to perform that spell every dusk and every dawn until the next electrical storm. Your next task is talking to Professor McGonagall. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom.

When you arrive, you will for the first time see Professor McGonagall change shape. This will surely surprise your character.

Your next task will be talking about Animagi. Completing it requires earning five stars within three hours. Once you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

Like always, focus on the actions with the high cost in order to optimize the energy usage. This way, you should be able to complete the task with around fifty energy or so.

When you are done, you will learn that Talbott is actually an Animagus, and unregistered one even.

He’ll then offer to tell you his secret over a game of Gobstones. Proceed to Clocktower Courtyard to meet him. Once you are there, you’ll notice that some of the characters have speech bubbles above them. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

Afterward, Talbott will ask what kind of animal would you like to become. You have three different options to choose from.

Keep in mind that this choice will not in any way affect the animal type you’ll be able to turn into, so feel free to pick whichever one you want. You’ll then have to defeat Talbott in a game of Gobstones in order to learn his secret. The recommended attribute levels for this task are quite low, so even if you are in the early stages of Year Three, you should still be able to meet them.

As for the game itself, you have seven turns to earn three diamonds. If your attributes are high enough, you should be able to achieve this in three or four turns, so this is probably one of the easiest game of Gobstones you’ll ever have. You can check the pictures below for some of the questions and answers for this task.

Once you are done, hit the Collect button to claim your reward and continue.

You’ll then learn Talbott’s sad story involving the death of his parents and how he became an Animagus.

He’ll also tell you the reason why he didn’t register with the Ministry. Now it all makes sense.

After talking for a while longer, he’ll turn into a bird and fly away.

This will also mark the end of Part 3 of the Animagus Event. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

Now you have pretty much everything needed for becoming an Animagus. Everything but one thing – electrical storm. When will it happen? Will you be able to do everything correctly when the time comes? Will you finally be able to become an Animagus? Find out in the fourth and final part of this exciting adventure!
