Audition for the Frog Choir Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Audition for the Frog Choir Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of Year Three and above.

During it, you will learn that the Frog Choir is recruiting new members. You will get the opportunity to audition and perhaps even become a member of the Frog Choir.

Once you start the adventure, you’ll learn that Professor Flitwick has an announcement to make, so go to the Great Hall to hear it.

Upon arriving, you can interact with some of your friends by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

After that, the Professor will announce the news to everyone.

Rowan will advise you to audition. You’ll consider it for a moment, but ultimately, you’ll want to know more before you decide.

You’ll then get to discuss the Frog Choir with your classmates. You need to earn five stars within an hour to complete this task. One star is required to pass.

If you are looking to optimize energy usage, you can earn a couple of stars and then let the timer expire. This way, you can save some energy. However, if you want to get some additional rewards, such as the chance to earn chocolate frogs, it is recommended to fully complete this task.

It is also worth noting there are bonus progress actions tied to Penny, your character, and one of the students. Prioritize those actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

When you are done, you’ll find out that Merula is planning to audition for the Frog Choir.

She’ll ask why you are interested in joining. You have three options to respond with. The outcome is pretty much the same with some minor dialogue differences, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Moments later, she will leave the Great Hall. Rowan will tell you that Merula is actually pretty good when it comes to singing, so you’ll have some fierce competition.

Shortly after, Tulip will ask you to meet her in the Transfiguration classroom, so go there when you are ready. Once you get there, you can check out what some of the characters have to say.

Tulip will say that her toad, Dennis, is depressed. In order to lift his spirits, she will ask you to audition for the Frog Choir with him.

She’ll then decide to explain everything to you. This is a task that requires you to obtain five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is highly recommended to avoid starting it if your energy is low.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to your character and Dennis. Focus on those actions if you want to save energy.

When you complete the task, Tulip will admit she’s a horrible singer, which is the reason why she wants you to audition with Dennis.

Eventually, you’ll agree to help her. She’ll be surprised by that and will want to know your reasons for wanting to help her.

You have three options to answer with. All will lead to the same outcome, but Tulip will react best if you go with the first choice. Keep in mind that you need to be friends with her in order to pick this option.

Next, you’ll need to go to the Charms Classroom to consult with Professor Flitwick regarding the upcoming audition.

When you get there, the Professor will tell you he is busy tidying up the classroom.

You’ll be quick to offer your help if it means you can talk about the audition afterward. Professor Flitwick will gladly agree to your proposition.

Tidying up the classroom is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete it. One star is required to pass.

If you want to optimize your energy usage, you can start this task immediately, regardless of your energy bar status. Even if you are completely out of energy, you can wait for one hour and then earn one star. After that, wait until the timer expires and regain some energy in the meantime. This way you can save some energy, which will make completing this adventure significantly easier.

However, if you want the chance to earn some additional rewards, it is recommended to fully complete this task. There are bonus progress actions tied to Professor Flitwick and some of the books. Focus on those actions to save energy.

In any case, when you are done, you’ll get to ask the Professor one question. You can choose from three options, but neither of those will have a significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever one you prefer.

Shortly after, he’ll direct you to Madam Pince. Apparently, she’s a fan of the Frog Choir and can answer any other questions you might have.

Head to the Library when you are ready to continue. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

After getting shushed a few times, you’ll explain the situation to Madam Pince and she’ll agree to hear you out.

Asking the Librarian for help is an hour-long task with a passing requirement of five stars. Because of this, you want to avoid starting it with an empty energy bar.

If you want to save a bit of energy, focus on the bonus progress actions whenever they are available. There is one such action linked to Tulip.

Apparently, Madam Pince doesn’t think you belong in the Frog Choir, and she’ll tell you that once you complete the task.

You can choose to agree with her or not. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Shortly after, Part 1 of Audition for the Frog Choir adventure will be complete. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 350 Coins and 200 Experience points.

Now that you’re determined to attend the audition, you’ll have to do some preparation. But will Dennis be willing to sing with you? Will you manage to bond with him before the audition starts? Find out in the next part of this adventure.
