Audition for the Frog Choir Part 1

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Audition for the Frog Choir Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of Year Three and above. You have three days and nineteen hours to complete it, which should be more than enough. Once you start the adventure, proceed to the Great Hall to hear Professor Flitwick’s Announcement.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 3 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story. Walkthrough for this part has been updated in December 2021.]

Upon arriving, you can interact with some of your friends by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

After that, the Professor will announce the news to everyone.

Moments later, you’ll get to discuss the Frog Choir with your classmates. This is an hour-long task with the passing requirement of one out of five stars.

If you are looking to optimize energy usage, you can earn a couple of stars and then let the timer expire. This way, you can save some energy. However, if you want to get some additional rewards, such as the chance to earn chocolate frogs, it is recommended to fully complete this task.

When you are done, you’ll find out that Merula is also interested in joining the Frog Choir.

She’ll ask you why are you interested in joining. You have three options to respond with. The outcome is pretty much the same with some minor dialogue differences, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

For the next task, proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom when you are ready.

Once you get there, you can check out what some of the characters have to say before continuing.

Tulip will say that she would like you to audition for the Frog Choir with her toad Dennis.

She’ll then decide to explain everything to you. This is a task that requires you to obtain five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is highly recommended to avoid starting it if your energy is low.

During this task, prioritize 5-cost actions to save some energy.

When you complete the task, Tulip will admit she’s a horrible singer, which is the reason why she wants you to audition with Dennis.

Eventually, you’ll agree to help her. She’ll be surprised by that and will want to know your reasons for wanting to help her. You have three options to answer with. All will lead to the same outcome, but Tulip will react best if you go with the first choice. Keep in mind that you need to be friends with her in order to pick this option.

Next, you’ll need to go to the Charms Classroom to consult with Professor Flitwick regarding the upcoming audition.

When you get there, the Professor will tell you he is busy tidying up the classroom.

You’ll be quick to offer your help if it means you can talk about the audition afterward.

Helping Professor Flitwick requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.

If you want to optimize your energy usage, you can start this task immediately, regardless of your energy bar status. Even if you are completely out of energy, you can wait for one hour and then earn one star. After that, wait until the timer expires and regain some energy in the meantime. This way you can save some energy, which will make completing this adventure significantly easier. However, if you want the chance to earn some additional rewards, it is recommended to fully complete this task.

In any case, when you are done, you’ll get to ask the Professor one question. You can choose from three options, but neither of those will have a significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever one you prefer.

Shortly after, he’ll direct you to Madam Pince. Apparently, she’s a fan of the Frog Choir and can answer any other questions you might have.

Proceed to the Library when you are ready to continue.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

After getting shushed a few times, you’ll explain the situation to Madam Pince and she’ll agree to hear you out.

Asking the Librarian for help is an hour-long task with a passing requirement of five stars. Because of this, you want to avoid starting it with an empty energy bar.

If you want to save a bit of energy, focus on the 5-cost actions whenever they are available.

Apparently, Madam Pince doesn’t think you belong in the Frog Choir, and she’ll tell that to you once you complete the task. You can choose to agree with her or not, but eventually, this choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Shortly after, Part 1 of Audition for the Frog Choir adventure will be complete. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
