[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 4 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 4 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

When you start, head to the Potions Classroom for your first task. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. As it turns out, your character is having a crush on someone.

first date part 1 1040

Professor Snape will explain that today’s class will be about practicing brewing Doxycide Potion from memory. He’ll ask you to name one of the ingredients used for brewing Doxycide. The correct answer is Dragon Liver.

first date part 1 1060

You’ll then start brewing the potion. To do so, you need to earn at least one out of five stars within an hour.

first date part 1 1070

If you are looking to save energy, it is recommended to earn a single star and then let the timer expire. This will save you some energy, which is certainly handy since the adventure is time-limited. However, if you are looking to earn some additional rewards and a chance to get Chocolate Frogs, it is recommended to fully complete this task.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Rowan and Merula. You can prioritize those actions to save some energy.

first date part 1 1080

Once you’re done, your character will start writing something on a piece of paper. Snape will notice it and since he specifically said no notes during class, he’ll be quite furious at you.

He’ll decide to share your notes with the rest of the class. Professor Snape will grab the note and start reading it aloud.

first date part 1 1110

The entire class will chuckle at this, and Merula will be especially happy to see you embarrassed in front of everyone. You have three options to respond to her. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the rest of the adventure, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

first date part 1 1120

If Merula was your Celestial Ball date, you’ll get some additional lines of dialogue.

first date part 1 1130
first date part 1 1140

Soon after, Snape will dismiss the class and spare you any further embarrassment. Rowan will be worried that this may quickly spread all over Hogwarts.

In any case, you have the flying class next, so proceed to the training grounds when you are ready. Once you arrive, you’ll be able to check out what some of your classmates have to say.

You’ll quickly learn that pretty much everyone is talking about what happened during Potions class. Ben will ask if you think that Snape meant to embarrass you. You have two response options. This choice won’t have any major effect on the story, so feel free to go with either option.

first date part 1 1200

You’ll learn that something like this was the reason why Rowan decided to stop dating. Also, if the two of you went to Celestial Ball together, it will be mentioned here.

first date part 1 1210

Soon after, Madam Hooch will tell you that the class is about to start. It will involve practicing some loop-the-loops, and in order to pass, you need to obtain five stars within three hours.

first date part 1 1220

The only bonus progress action here is tied to your character, so focus on completing it whenever possible to save some energy.

first date part 1 1230

When you are done, Rowan will ask if you like being the talk of Hogwarts. This will have a minor impact on certain dialogues, but in general, you should be fine with either option.

first date part 1 1240

Shortly after, Ismelda will arrive and join your conversation. If you’ve completed Crushed Side Quest, or if Ismelda was your Celestial Ball date, you’ll get some additional dialogue lines. Otherwise, she’ll simply say she is done with dating.

first date part 1 1250

You’ll talk with them some more and then you’ll remember you have to meet Barnaby, Andre, and Tulip in the Library.

Head to the library when you are ready to meet your friends. Once you get there, you can interact with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

When you join your friends, Barnaby will ask you an interesting question about Romanian Longhorns. The correct answer is two.

first date part 1 1290

Tulip, on the other hand, will prefer talking about recent events. Andre will completely agree with her. Also, if any of these three was your Celestial Ball date, it will be mentioned here.

first date part 1 1310

Madam Pince will be quite annoyed by your loud conversation. So, you’ll have to at least pretend to study. To do so, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. One star is required to pass.

first date part 1 1330

If you are looking to save some energy, you should start this task immediately after the previous one, even if your energy bar is empty. After about one hour, you should have enough energy to obtain one star, which is all you need to pass. Then, wait for the remaining time to run out, and once it does, your energy will be nearly full.

However, if you want to earn some additional rewards and a chance for Chocolate Frogs, it is recommended to fully complete this task.

Actions with bonus progress are tied to Andre, Tulip, and your character. Prioritize those actions to save some energy.

first date part 1 1340

Shortly after you finish the task, Madam Pince will throw you out of the library for being too loud.

You’ll then decide to have some lunch. Head to the Clocktower Courtyard when you’re ready. You’ll sit quietly near the fountain and enjoy your food, at least for a bit…

first date part 1 1380

Suddenly, Talbott will show up saying you’re on his turf. You have two options to respond with. Each of these will lead to a similar outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

first date part 1 1390

If you’ve completed Flying Solo Adventure and befriended Talbott, you’re in for some additional lines of dialogue.

first date part 1 1400

Soon after that, you’ll get to talk to Talbott about his hiding spots. Doing so requires earning five stars within an hour. Since all five stars are required to pass, you want to avoid starting this task with an empty energy bar.

first date part 1 1410

There are bonus progress actions tied to Talbott, your character, statues, and sandwiches. Prioritize those actions to save some energy.

first date part 1 1420

Once you complete the task, Talbott will be curious to know why you’re hiding. This is where one of the previous choices (the one involving you liking the attention) will be referenced.

first date part 1 1440
first date part 1 1450

Moments later, Talbott will turn into an eagle and fly away. Shortly after that, several students will enter the Courtyard, so you’ll be forced to take your lunch elsewhere.

Proceed to the Artefact Room when you are ready to continue. Shortly upon arriving, Penny will enter the room looking for you. As it turns out, Talbott told her where you are.

She’ll ask if you’re having a second lunch. There are three options to reply with. If you like Penny, it is recommended to pick the third option.

first date part 1 1500

She’ll then offer to talk to you about what happened during the Potions class.

Getting a pep talk requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task with an empty energy bar.

first date part 1 1520

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Penny. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

first date part 1 1530

After completing the task, your character will cheer up and Penny will suggest getting some fresh air.

Head back to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

Moments later, you’ll notice Merula laughing at you from the other side of the Courtyard, along with some other Slytherin students.

Penny will tell you to ignore them, and you’ll have two options to choose from. The following scene will play out quite differently, depending on this choice, but it won’t significantly impact the story’s overall outcome.

first date part 1 1580

Either way, Merula will eventually ask you about your crush. Apparently, she’s interested to hear more about it. You’ll tell her that you’re thinking about asking your crush out, which will surprise the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts.

She’ll tell you it’s a terrible idea, and she’ll even be willing to explain why. Getting a warning from Merula requires obtaining five stars within an hour. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if you are low on energy.

first date part 1 1630

As long as you start this task with a full energy bar, you should easily be able to complete it before running out of energy.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Merula and your character. Prioritize those actions to save some energy.

first date part 1 1640

After completing the task, Merula will ask which one you value more, Power or Popularity. This choice will have some minor impact on a few dialogue lines, but other than that, it won’t significantly influence the story, so feel free to pick either option.

first date part 1 1650

You’ll be curious to find out why she is so much against you asking your crush out. But Merula being Merula, she’ll dodge the question as usual.

first date part 1 1670

In any case, you’ll decide to meet Bill and talk to him about recent events, so immediately head to the Great Hall to do so, even if your energy is low. The reason for this is that the next task doesn’t require any energy and there is a waiting period afterward, so you should go there as soon as possible.

When you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters before continuing. You’ll tell Bill about what’s been bothering you lately.

Thankfully, your friend will be very understanding and supportive.

first date part 1 1720

You’ll then tell him you are considering asking your crush on a date. You’ll also mention some of the events that happened during the Celestial Ball.

first date part 1 1740
first date part 1 1750

And you’ll ask Bill if he’ll be able to give you some advice about dating. Initially, he won’t like this idea, so you’ll have to do some persuading.

The task window will display the recommended attribute levels and the cost of the task. When you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

first date part 1 1780

This is quite similar to a Meal With a Friend mini-game. You have six turns to convince Bill, and since the attribute requirements are fairly low, you shouldn’t have any trouble with this task. Below are the questions and answers to them.

  • Why would you trust my advice? – You’ve never led me wrong. (Courage)
  • Do you ask because I’m older? – You’re older… and wiser! (Empathy)
  • I’m unsure about advising friends. – I believe in you. (Courage)
  • What if I don’t have time for this? – It won’t take much time. (Empathy)
  • Am I your first choice for advice? – Always! (Knowledge)
  • What if I steer you wrong? – I would never blame you. (Knowledge)

Once you’re done, Bill will agree to help you. You will also earn a significant number of friendship experience points with him.

first date part 1 1870

However, before you’re able to continue, there is a waiting period of three hours. In most cases, it is recommended to let this timer run out.

first date part 1 1880

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Three Broomsticks to meet Bill. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

You’ll then join Bill and get the option to ask him a dating-related question. There are three options to choose from. None of these will significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the one you want.

first date part 1 1910

Shortly after that, you’ll get to talk to Bill about dating. To do so, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.

first date part 1 1920

There are bonus progress actions tied to Bill and your character.

first date part 1 1930

Not long after you’re done, Charlie and Tonks will arrive.

first date part 1 1950

You’ll talk to them for a while, and they’ll offer to help you pick a perfect spot for your date.

first date part 1 1960

With this, Part 1 of First Date Adventure will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You’ll receive 250 Coins.

It’s settled. Charlie and Tonks will help you organize your date. But there is still a question of who your special crush is. And will that person accept your date invitation? Find out in the next part of this lovely adventure!
