Flying Solo Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Flying Solo Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you persuaded Professor Flitwick to teach you the Memory Charm – Obliviate.

Later on, Talbott and you confronted Merula in the Courtyard and you managed to convince her to keep quiet about Talbott’s secret (either by reasoning with her or by Obliviating her memory).

Sadly, Talbott wasn’t ready to open up to you, so you’ll have to find a way to get closer to him. Thankfully, Professor McGonagall told you that he lost his necklace recently, so if you could find it, perhaps he’ll soften up. When you are ready, head to the Courtyard to meet him.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Talbott will be quite surprised once you tell him you know he’s looking for a missing necklace. He’ll be curious to know who told you about it. You have three response options. Each of those will lead to the same outcome, but he will react differently, depending on your choice.

Eventually, he’ll accept your help, but he won’t be ready to call you a friend. He’ll then tell you that the necklace is special because it was a gift from his mom. She made one for him and his dad not long before they were killed.

You’ll learn that Talbott’s mother was a swan Animagus, and she made the necklace with one of her own feathers. And since it’s the only thing he has left of her, it has a very special meaning.

flying solo part 3 1070

Lately, Talbott was quite busy searching for the necklace. He already searched the Owlery, the Forbidden Forest, the Training Grounds, and the Ravenclaw dorm. Sadly, he couldn’t find the necklace.

You’ll offer to help him search the Courtyard again. Doing so requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task with an empty energy bar.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Talbott and your character, which should make this task slightly easier to complete.

Once you are done, you’ll realize that Talbott’s necklace isn’t in the Courtyard. Perhaps it’s time to think of other places he could’ve lost it at.

He’ll suggest checking the Herbology Greenhouse, so go there when you are ready to continue. When you get there, you’ll learn that Talbott is quite adept at Herbology.

He’ll tell you that he worked a lot with his mom in her garden. She was a Healer at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. She also preferred using home-grown ingredients, and her garden was full of all kinds of plants.

flying solo part 3 1170

Talbott will tell you that Professor Sprout allowed him to help out with the plants since it helps him relax, especially during ‘this’ time of year.

However, that’s as much as he’ll be willing to share for the time being. At least you learned a bit more about him. You have three options to respond to him, but sadly, he won’t be willing to tell you more, regardless of the option you choose, so you can freely pick the one you prefer.

You’ll then get to search the greenhouse. To do that, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so it’s not recommended to start this task if you’re low on energy.

flying solo part 3 1210

There should be a fair number of bonus progress actions available here, which should save you some energy.

flying solo part 3 1220

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find Talbott’s necklace in the greenhouse. Talbott will suggest searching the Library next, so proceed there when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and check out what they have to say.

You will learn that Talbott is also very fond of poetry. He’ll tell you that he likes to both read and write it.

He’ll be afraid you might think it’s odd, so you have a chance to prove him wrong. There are three response options, and while they all lead to a similar outcome, it is somewhat recommended to pick the second one.

flying solo part 3 1290

Talbott will tell you that his dad was a writer, which sparked Talbott’s love for poetry. His father used to write for the Daily Prophet, and one time, he even snuck one of his poems into the paper.

flying solo part 3 1320

You’ll then get to search the library for Talbott’s necklace. This requires earning five stars within three hours, and like before, all five stars are needed to pass.

flying solo part 3 1330

Be sure to check out characters’ lines after completing actions since some of those are quite interesting. It is also worth noting there are bonus progress actions tied to your character, and the books next to Talbott and your character.

flying solo part 3 1340

Unfortunately, you won’t find the necklace in the Library. After talking for a bit, you’ll come up with an idea to search the Charms classroom next, so proceed there when you are ready.

When you get there, Talbott will be curious to know why you’re searching the Charms classroom.

You’ll explain that his necklace might have gotten mixed up with the feathers Professor Flitwick uses to teach the Levitation Charm.

flying solo part 3 1430

It might not be the best logic, but there is a chance it could be correct.

Searching the Charms classroom requires earning five stars within three hours. Like the previous tasks, you also need to acquire all five stars here, which is why it’s recommended to have full energy prior to starting the task.

flying solo part 3 1450

There are bonus progress actions tied to Talbott, your character, and one of the feathers. Prioritize those actions to save energy.

flying solo part 3 1460

When you are done, you’ll conclude that Talbott’s necklace isn’t in the Charms classroom.

He’ll be pretty sad about this, so you have three options to console him. The dialogue will be different, depending on your choice, but none of the options will have any significant impact on the story, so pick whichever one you prefer.

flying solo part 3 1500

Talbott will thank you for everything you’ve done to help. He’ll admit that your support means a lot to him. He will even say that he enjoyed searching for his necklace with you.

flying solo part 3 1510

Shortly after, Part 3 of Flying Solo adventure will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 5 Gems.

Will you manage to find Talbott’s lost necklace? And will he finally be ready to open up and tell you what’s been bothering him? Find out in the Final Part of Flying Solo adventure!

Thank you for reading.
