Happy Birthday Hagrid Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Happy Birthday, Hagrid Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you learned from the Headmaster that Hagrid’s birthday is very soon and it’s up to you to organize a surprise party for him.

Thankfully, Rowan agreed to help you with planning everything. You then went to invite Madam Hooch to attend the party. Sadly, she wasn’t very excited about it. However, you might be able to convince her otherwise.

She does need help with treating some brooms, but in order to be able to assist her, you need to learn the Charm to Cure Reluctant Reversers. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Charms Classroom to see if Professor Flitwick will be willing to teach you that spell.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 2 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 1 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.

Professor Flitwick will agree to help you with Cure Reluctant Reversers Charm. After all, he also wants to see Madam Hooch happy at the birthday party.

After explaining the situation to him, he’ll agree to teach you. Learning this spell requires you to earn five stars within an hour. One star is needed to pass for Year 1-2 students. For Year 3+ students, all five stars are required to pass.

Do this like any other story task and you shouldn’t encounter any problems. There is a bonus progress action tied to Professor Flitwick, so focus on his actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

Once you are done, you’ll be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to perform this.

You’ll earn a reward for learning the spell. You can collect it in the Charms section of your Hogwarts Record.

Now that you’ve learned the spell, you can head back to the Training Grounds to assist Madam Hooch. When you arrive, you will tell her you learned the Charm to Cure Reluctant Reversers. You’ll also say you are ready to help her treat the brooms, so that she can go to Hagrid’s birthday party.

Treating the brooms is a three-hour task that requires you to obtain five stars to complete. One star is needed to pass for Year 1-2 students. For Year 3+ students, all five stars are required to pass. When you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Madam Hooch and one of the brooms. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, you’ll need to cast the Charm to Cure Reluctant Reversers on one last broom. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.

Thankfully, Madam Hooch will agree to go to Hagrid’s birthday party. You’ll then be able to advise her on how to behave there. You can select one of three options.

It is recommended to select the first option since it will give you ten Empathy points as well as five House Points.

The next person to ask is Professor McGonagall. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Courtyard to meet her.

Once you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some students by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

After talking to Professor McGonagall, you’ll find out that she hasn’t got the time to get Hagrid a present because she has to supervise the Courtyard.

Fortunately, you’ll offer to do that in her stead so that she can go and get a present for Hagrid. As soon as she leaves, you’ll notice two students going at each other. You’ll immediately intervene and politely ask them to stop arguing.

However, the Sixth-Year won’t quit. He’ll even go as far as to attack you with the Banishing Charm. Apparently, you’ll have to knock some sense into him. Tap on the crossed wands icon to open the task window.

It will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the cost of the duel. When you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

The difficulty of this duel is pretty much trivial. You should have a significant attribute advantage, which should help you win the duel in a few turns.

The Sixth-Year will get what he deserved, but at the same time, Professor McGonagall will show up and ask you to explain yourself. You have three options to respond with.

If you go with the first option, you will lose five house points, so it is recommended to avoid this one. The second option will award you ten Knowledge and five House Points and it is highly recommended to pick this one. The third one will grant you ten Empathy points.

Professor McGonagall will confirm that she will go to Hagrid’s party. She will even mention that Dumbledore has secret plans for this party. Lastly, McGonaggal will ask you to invite Mr. Filch to the party.

Shortly after, the Second Part of the adventure will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 200 Coins and 1 Chocolate Frog.

It seems that Professor McGonagall will be attending the party after all. But there are still some others to convince. Namely the caretaker, Mr. Filch and Professor Snape. Will you be able to get them to attend Hagrid’s birthday party? Will everything else go according to plan? Find out in the next part of this exciting adventure!
