Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 5 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your classmates and see what they have to say.

Penny will happily introduce you to her penfriend Aurélie Dumont.

The reason for her visit is quite interesting – she is considering transferring to Hogwarts. Needless to say, Penny will be thrilled with excitement.

However, before she transfers, Aurélie will want to see if Hogwarts is right for her. Penny will ask if you’d be kind enough to show Aurélie around.

As it turns out, your Hufflepuff friend needs to finish an important Potions project, which is why she’s asking for your help.

Sadly, you don’t know Aurélie well, which might make things slightly difficult. Penny, however, will be convinced that it won’t be a problem. In the end, you’ll agree to talk to Aurélie and get to know her better.

Chatting with Aurélie requires earning at least one out of five stars within one hour (three hours for Year 4+ students).

There is a bonus progress action tied to your character, so prioritize it to save some energy.

Once you’re done chatting, you’ll agree to be Aurélie’s guide to Hogwarts.

Penny will be curious to know what about showing Aurélie around excites you most. There are three options to respond with. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, if you like Penny, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Aurélie will look forward to seeing the rest of Hogwarts. The first place you’ll go to is the Potion classroom, so proceed there when you are ready.

Once you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say to you.

As it turns out, Aurélie didn’t expect the Potions classroom to be so gloomy. You will smile and say that you often use the Wand-Lighting Charm during the Potions classes.

You’ll introduce Aurélie to your classmates. She will say she is quite eager to meet the Potions Master.

What follows is a rather comical scene involving your character and Professor Snape.

You’ll then politely ask the Professor if he’ll allow Aurélie to observe the Potions class.

Snape will, however, want a good enough reason before he allows that. You have three response options. Each of those will lead to different lines of dialogue, but eventually, regardless of your choice, Snape will allow Aurélie to observe the class.

Moments later, the class will start. Attending it requires earning five stars within one hour (three hours for Year 4+ students). One star is required to pass for Year 2-3 students. All five stars are needed to pass for Year 4+ students.

When you’re done, you’ll notice that Aurélie looks kind of disappointed. Apparently, she was hoping that the class would feature some alchemy.

Not long after that, the Hogwarts tour will continue. Head to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your friends. You’ll quickly start showing Aurélie around. You’ll tell her you often come to the courtyard between classes to hang out with your friends and get some fresh air.

Sadly, she won’t seem too impressed by the Courtyard. She’ll tell you she is still upset about not getting to learn more about Alchemy.

You’ll suggest talking about other classes and see if there’s anything else she might find interesting.

To do that, you need to earn five stars within three hours. One star is required to pass for Year 2-3 students. All five stars are required to pass for Year 4+ students.

Shortly after you’re done, Aurélie will ask if it’s all right to look around the Courtyard for a while.

Not long after she leaves, Rowan will tell you that Aurélie is behaving quite oddly. You have two options to respond with. Each of these options will influence some of the dialogue lines, but overall, these won’t impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Moments later, Aurélie will return, ready to continue the tour. Next, you should visit the Charms classroom, so go there when you are ready.

At first glance, Aurélie will seem to like the Charms classroom. You’ll tell her that Professor Flitwick is one of the nicest professors at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, she won’t seem interested and will ask to look around for a while.

Rowan certainly won’t mind that. Apparently, your friend is still quite suspicious of her.

Eventually, you’ll decide to observe Aurélie as she tours the classroom. Doing so requires earning five stars within one hour (three hours for students that are past Year 5 Chapter 17). All of the stars are needed to pass.

There is an action with bonus progress tied to Aurélie. Doing it whenever it’s available should save you some energy.

When you are done, you’ll agree with Rowan that Aurélie is definitely hiding something. These lines will slightly differ, based on your previous choice.

But why did she come to Hogwarts if she isn’t interested in transferring? Rowan will be curious to hear your thoughts on that.

There are three options to choose from, but none of these will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

Moments later, Aurélie will inform you that Madame Maxime, the Headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic wants to meet you.

Apparently, she wants to teach you about life as a Beauxbatons student.

Aurélie will also warn you not to mention her size since she’s pretty sensitive about that.

With that being said, Part 1 of Hosting the Beauxbatons will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 250 Coins.

What interesting things is Madame Maxime planning to teach you? And will you discover what Aurélie is looking for? Find out in Part 2 of this magnificent adventure!
