Hosting the Beauxbatons Part 3
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Hosting the Beauxbatons Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you met Madame Maxime and learned some important things about Beauxbatons customs. You also helped her with tending to Beauxbatons’ Abraxans, and you had the chance to duel Aurélie.
Later on, you had lunch with Aurélie during which she decided to tell you the real reason she came to Hogwarts. However, since there were too many people in the Great Hall, she asked you to meet her someplace private where she could tell you her secret.
Once you start this part, you will be met with a waiting period of four hours.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 5 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story. Walkthrough for this part has been updated in July 2022.]
Proceed to the Training Grounds once the waiting time is over.
When you arrive, Aurélie will promise to tell you the truth this time.
Listening to her story requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting the task if you are out of energy.
There is a 5-cost action tied to your character, so prioritize it to save some energy.
When you are done, you’ll learn that Aurélie came to Hogwarts in search of an alchemy artifact owned by Nicolas Flamel.
However, there’s more to the story. It turns out that Aurélie is overshadowed by her older brother’s glory, and she’s hoping that finding this artifact will help her become a great alchemist.
After learning the truth, you’ll offer Aurélie your help.
This will surprise her, and she’ll be curious to know why you want to help her. You have three response options. This choice won’t impact the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.
Before you start the search, you’ll ask her about the artifact she’s looking for.
Sadly, she won’t really be sure, which could make the search quite difficult.
You’ll suggest checking some books to see if there are any clues about the artifact.
Proceed to the Charms classroom when you are ready.
Aurélie will be curious to know why you are searching for the books in the Charms classroom and not in the Library.
You’ll quickly give her the answer.
However, there are plenty of books lying around, which means you’ll have to do some searching.
To do that, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass, which is why you don’t want to start this task with an empty energy bar.
Sadly, there are no 5-cost actions here, so you’ll likely need to spend a bit more energy than usual to finish this task.
When you are done, you’ll find a book mentioning Nicolas Flamel.
Aurélie will check it out and find an interesting photograph inside.
You’ll quickly ask her if there is anything in the photo that might resemble the artifact.
Sadly, she won’t be able to tell that with certainty.
You’ll suggest learning more about alchemy and Nicolas Flamel.
Perhaps Professor Snape could tell you more. And with Penny’s help, he might be willing to teach you.
Aurélie won’t be too excited about getting Penny involved, especially since there’s a chance she could find out the truth. You have two options to respond to that. This choice will have an impact during Part 4, and if you care about Penny, it is highly recommended to advise Aurélie to tell Penny the truth.
Head to the Potions classroom to learn about Alchemy.
You’ll thank Penny for being kind enough to help you.
If you told Penny you are suspicious of Aurélie during Part 2, she’ll mention it here.
Thankfully, she won’t seem to mind.
Penny will ask why you are interested in learning alchemy.
This is one question you’ve been trying to avoid, and Penny will instantly notice it.
Luckily, Aurélie will quickly step in and make an excuse.
Moments later, Professor Snape will approach you. Apparently, he overheard your conversation and you’ll have to come up with a good reason for him to teach you alchemy. There are three options to choose from. Each of these will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.
Eventually, Snape will agree to teach you.
Learning alchemy requires obtaining five stars within three hours. Once again, all of the stars are needed to pass.
Both Penny and Professor Snape have 5-cost actions tied to them, so prioritize those to save some energy.
When you are done, you’ll sum up the things you learned.
Aurélie will add some interesting facts.
Snape will then mention a book that might be useful.
Shortly after, you’ll thank Penny for her help.
As it turns out, Penny is full of surprises.

Next, you need to meet with Aurélie and see if there’s any relevant information in the Advanced Potion-Making book.
Shortly after arriving, you’ll comment on what Snape said earlier.
There’s only one way to find out if it’s true.
Reading about Alchemy requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so it is recommended to avoid starting this task if your energy is low.
The only 5-cost action here is tied to your character, so focus on that one if you want to save some energy.
When you finish the task, you’ll stumble upon the passage on the Philosopher’s Stone.
However, Aurélie doesn’t think that Philosopher’s Stone is the artifact she’s been looking for.
You’ll then recall what Snape said earlier.
Aurélie will immediately link it to the chalice she saw in the photograph.
Suddenly, you’ll hear the sound of someone’s footsteps.
Could it be that someone’s been spying on you?
You’ll suggest going somewhere else to continue your conversation and search for the artifact.
That will mark the end of Part 3 of Hosting the Beauxbatons Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward.
Will you manage to find the artifact Aurélie’s been looking for? And was someone really spying on you? Find out in Part 4 of this amazing adventure!
Thank you for reading.
