Meet The Malfoys Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Meet the Malfoys Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, Professor Dumbledore tasked Merula and you to look after Draco Malfoy while his father, Lucius, is conducting the inspection of Hogwarts.

While you did have some difficulties babysitting Draco, in the end, everything turned out quite well. Now, you need to meet with the Headmaster, so proceed to his office when you are ready.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 2 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.

Lucius will be surprised to see you arrive alone. You will quickly explain that the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts is looking after his son.

Professor Dumbledore will say that he was the one to invite you. Apparently, someone stole Mr. Malfoy’s wand. And whoever stole it, knows where Lucius keeps his wand.

Professor Dumbledore will ask Lucius to give you more details.

Listening to Mr. Malfoy requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.

There are actions with bonus progress linked to Lucius and your character. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

Apparently, Mr. Malfoy keeps his wand in a cane. Also, it seems that he won’t leave Hogwarts until this mystery is solved.

You’ll ask if he’s suspecting anyone. According to him, only a few people know where he keeps his wand. One of those is his house-elf, Dobby.

Still, house-elves are forbidden from using wands. Moments later, Lucius will leave the Headmaster’s office.

You will ask Professor Dumbledore what is going to happen to Dobby in case you can’t find the missing wand.

He will only confirm what Lucius said before.

Still, house-elves can use magic without wands, so Dobby would have no reason to steal his master’s wand.

Professor Dumbledore will ask if you think house-elves should be allowed to use wands. There are two options to choose from. This choice won’t affect the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick either option.

The Headmaster will advise you to find Dobby as soon as possible. You’ll decide to ask Penny for help.

There is a waiting period of four hours before you can continue. Since you are likely low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out and let your energy recharge in the meanwhile.

Proceed to the Courtyard once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and check out what they have to say to you.

You will thank Penny for being kind enough to help you. Luckily for you, the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts is babysitting Draco while you are looking for the missing wand.

You’ll then get to witness another interesting Easter egg planted by the developers.

Penny will then ask if you think Dobby was the one who took Lucius’ wand. Since Dobby is innocent of this crime, it is recommended to say he didn’t steal it.

In any case, you will decide to look for Dobby. Suddenly, he will show up right in front of you.

You will be quick to introduce yourself to him. Apparently, Dobby already knows who you are. You will immediately get to the point and tell him that Lucius thinks he stole the wand.

However, poor Dobby will say he’s not the one who took it. He will even swear he wasn’t involved in it.

You will calm him down and ask him to tell you what he knows.

Talking to Dobby is your next task. To complete it, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Dobby. Focus on those if you want to save a bit of energy.

When he is done explaining, Dobby will confirm that Mr. Malfoy’s wand was indeed stolen. Furthermore, he will say it is still in the castle.

You will then ask if he saw who took the wand. He will fearfully tell you he cannot say. Penny will try to calm him down, but Dobby will start panicking.

He’ll then say he’s not supposed to speak ill of his family. Unfortunately, he won’t be willing to say anything else.

Both Penny and you will be understanding, and you will let Dobby go. Next, you will have to look for the missing wand. You’ll decide to ask Ben for help.

Proceed to the Artefact Room when you are ready to meet with him.

You will thank Ben for helping you look for the wand. Apparently, he has a pretty clear reason to help you. He’ll openly admit that he doesn’t want to see Lucius Malfoy ever again.

He will be curious to know why you want to help Mr. Malfoy. There are three options to respond with. None of these will have any significant influence on the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Ben will ask you to describe Lucius’ wand. You’ll tell him that the wand is black, with a snake head on the handle. Moments later, you and Ben will start searching the place.

Searching for the wand requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are two different bonus progress actions linked to your character, so focus on those if you want to save some energy.

When you are done searching, you will realize that the wand is not in the Artefact Room.

Ben will assume it was Merula who took the wand. You will decide to meet with her and ask her directly about it.

However, you will have to wait for three hours before you can continue. You will likely be out of energy at this point, so it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Great Hall to meet with Merula. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters.

You will notice that Merula finally managed to ‘tame’ Draco.

You will tell her about the missing wand. Unfortunately, she’ll have no idea where the wand is.

You will also say that Dobby is likely innocent of the crime. Merula will offer to help you… in her own way.

You will decide to tell her what you know about the missing wand.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so don’t start this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are two bonus progress actions tied to Merula, so prioritize her actions if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, you’ll sum things up and say that whoever stole the wand knew that Malfoy kept it in his cane.

Merula will assume it was Ben who stole the wand. Ironically, Ben thinks it was her who did it.

She will ask if you suspect her. Since Merula wasn’t the one who stole the want, it is recommended to say you believe her.

Moments later, you will realize that Draco is nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, you will put the dots together. Draco wanted to try casting the spell once he saw Merula jinx you, so he likely took his father’s wand.

You will quickly decide to look for him.

This will mark the end of Part 3 of Meet the Malfoys adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 4 Gems.
