Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Take the O.W.L.s Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you convinced Andre to take his O.W.L.s more seriously since there is no guarantee his quidditch career will work out. You also prepared for both Charms and Transfiguration O.W.L.s. Walkthrough

Now you can continue where you left off and head to the library to meet Tulip. When you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. Tulip will tell you that she actually called you to do something mischievous. You have two options to respond with. Both will lead to the same outcome with some minor dialogue differences, so pick whichever one you prefer.

After talking for a while, you’ll get to study Herbology with Tonks and Tulip. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

When you are done, you’ll learn that Tulip is still undecided about her future career. She’ll ask for your opinion. This choice won’t have any significant effect on the story, but if you want to be supportive, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Your next task involves taking Herbology O.W.L. However, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can proceed. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Like before, you’ll have to do the written portion of the exam first. Below are all the questions and the answers to them.

  • Touching the trunk of a Wiggentree protects you from what? – Dark Creatures
  • What are Nettles known for? – Stinging Hairs
  • Which of the following is NOT another name for Belladonna? – Flitterbloom
  • What does Mimbulus Mimbletonia use as a defense mechanism? – Stinksap

After you’re done with those questions, the practical part of the exam will start.

After that, you’ll have to fertilize the Fanged Geranium. This is a relatively easy tracing task, which shouldn’t be much of a problem for you.

Then, you’ll have to repot a baby Mandrake. This tracing task is a bit harder than the previous one, so be careful while doing it. Avoid going too fast or you might risk failing.

Charlie will then ask if you’d consider becoming a Magizoologist. If this is a career you’d like to pursue with your character, be sure to pick the first option.

Now is the time for your next O.W.L. Proceed to the Care of Magical Creatures when you are ready. Once you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of your classmates by tapping on their speech bubbles. After talking with your friends for a bit, the O.W.L. will begin.

Like before, the first part is the written exam which will test your knowledge of various magical creatures. Below are all the questions and the answers to them.

  • Porlocks guard herds of what non-magical creatures? – Horses
  • Which of the following creatures eat Fairy Eggs? – Bowtruckles

Once you’re done with that, the practical exam will begin.

You’ll first be tasked with determining the needs of a Kneazle. This can be done by completing a Focus mini-task.

Next, you’ll need to demonstrate luring back an escaped Bowtruckle. This is a tracing mini-task that is reasonably easy, but try not to go too fast or you might fail.

After that, you’ll be tasked with feeding a Fire Crab. This is perhaps, one of the easiest tracing tasks, so you should be able to complete it without a problem.

And lastly, you’ll need to find proper food for a sick Unicorn. This is just another Focus mini-task, which at this point, you are quite familiar with.

And with that, your Care of Magical Creatures O.W.L. will end. Professor Tofty will ask if you have any interesting creature stories to share with him. You have three options to choose from. Each will lead to some unique lines of dialogue without affecting the adventure’s outcome, so feel free to select the one you prefer.

After talking to him for a while, you’ll receive your next task. Proceed to the library to revise the History of Magic with Badeea. When you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say to you. Badeea will thank you for agreeing to study with her.

She’ll tell you to ask her a question about the History of Magic. This is an opportunity to learn the answer to one of the exam questions, so pick whichever one you want.

take the owls part 3 1570

Sadly, she won’t remember the answer to that question, but Ismelda will arrive and she’ll answer it correctly. This will come as quite a surprise to you.

take the owls part 3 1580

Apparently, she likes history a lot.

take the owls part 3 1590

You’ll find it odd since she’s usually sleeping during the History of Magic classes. Ismelda will explain why that is the case.

take the owls part 3 1610

She’ll then offer to help you with revising. If you completed Crushed Side Quest, you’ll get an additional line of dialogue.

take the owls part 3 1620

Studying History of Magic requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass. Because of that, it is not recommended to start this task if you are out of energy.

take the owls part 3 1630

There is a reward action tied to Ismelda. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.

take the owls part 3 1640

Once you are done, Ismelda will ask if you’d consider becoming a Magical Historian. If this career is something you’d want for your character, be sure to tell her that.

After that, she’ll warn you that someone’s been spying on you lately, so you might want to watch your back.
