The All-Wizard Tournament Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for The All-Wizard Tournament Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you learned that Hagrid and Professor Kettleburn are hosting the All-Wizard Tournament, a competition highly reminiscent of the famous Triwizard Tournament, which was unfortunately canceled some years ago.

However, it appears that the Triwizard Tournament might make a return soon. Because of this, the Headmaster authorized Hagrid and Professor Kettleburn to host the All-Wizard Tournament, and he handpicked you and several of your friends to compete in it.

You learned that there might be some dangerous and challenging tasks ahead, so you started preparing. However, you were unsure what the first task is until Hagrid accidentally slipped that it involves Nifflers.

Sadly, you didn’t find out more than that, and now you’ll have to face the first challenge and see if you have what it takes to overcome it. Proceed to the History of Magic classroom when you are ready.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 5 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Walkthrough

Once you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say to you.

The most powerful witch at Hogwarts will be quite sure she will win.

You, on the other hand, will be very confident with your own odds.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1050

Professor Kettleburn will start the introductions. He’ll mention that the winner of the first task will receive 100 points. Apparently, this tournament will have three tasks in total. Whoever has the most points after these tasks will be awarded the prestigious All-Wizard Cup.

By the looks of it, Hagrid was the one who came up with the first task. The goal of this task is to find the most hidden shiny objects in the classroom before time runs out. You won’t only compete against your fellow witches and wizards, but with Nifflers as well. Your friends will start making some ridiculous assumptions.

However, it looks like the Nifflers you’ll be competing against are fairly normal.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1150

Merula expected something far more dangerous while Badeea will be quite disappointed by this reveal as well. In any case, Professor Kettleburn will cut the conversation short, and announce the start of the first task.

Completing it requires earning five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 5 Chapter 17+). All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.

There are bonus progress actions linked to your character, Liz, and Badeea. Focus on these if you’re looking to save some energy. Also, be sure to slide the screen left and right in order to see all the available actions.

Once you’re done, Professor Kettleburn will ask everyone to turn in the things they collected so he and Hagrid could count collections and then announce the winner of the first task. Merula will be outraged about the first task.

Professor Kettleburn will kindly ask her to behave. You have two options to react to this. You can either side with her or the Professor. If you like Merula, it is somewhat recommended to take her side. Otherwise, you can go with either option.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1260

As it turns out, there was more in store than Nifflers planned for this task initially. However, Hagrid decided to tone down the difficulty of it after the conversation you had in the Library.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1280

If you completed Year 6 Chapter 18, you will get some additional dialogue lines here. However, since this goes deep into the spoiler territory, the images of these won’t be shown here in order not to spoil the story for players that are still in Year 5.

Tonks will seem quite ready to face any challenge.

And the same goes for Charlie, especially if dragons are involved in any of the tasks. As for you, you want this tournament to better prepare you for the dangers of any Cursed Vault. Luckily, Professor Kettleburn is the one in charge of planning the second task.

Hagrid will ask all of you to rest for a while until they are ready to announce the winner of the first task.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1330

And that will happen in approximately two hours. Once again, it is recommended to simply wait for this timer to run out and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1340

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Great Hall to learn the results. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your friends and check out what they have to say.

You’ll immediately notice that there’s a shiny coin placed in front of you and each of your friends. Some of them will be puzzled by this.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1370

Tonks will be interested to hear your opinion about this. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1390

In any case, the coins must be there for a reason, and hopefully, Hagrid and Professor Kettleburn will explain it.

Merula will approach you and say a few words. These will depend on the choice you made during the previous part.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1410

Either way, she’ll decide to keep an eye on you. Apparently, you’re her biggest competitor. Shortly after, Professor Kettleburn and Hagrid will address everyone.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1430

By the looks of it, the next task will more than likely be very dangerous.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1450

Professor Kettleburn will ask if anyone has any questions. Barnaby will be the first one to ask about the shiny coins that were placed in front of everyone. As for Merula, she’ll be way more concerned about the results of the first task. In any case, the Professor will decide to talk about these shiny objects.

This will require earning five stars within one hour (three hours for Year 5 Chapter 17+). All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if your energy bar is empty.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1500

There are bonus progress actions linked to your character and Badeea. Focus on these if you want to save a bit of energy.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1510

In the end, the only thing you’ll learn is that shiny objects may not be what they seem. According to Hagrid, that should help you figure out the next task.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will once again ask about the results of the first task.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1540

Professor Kettleburn will start the announcement.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1550

Congratulations! You were the one who won the first task.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1570

Needless to say, Merula won’t be happy with this outcome.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1580

Sadly for her, the count is quite correct, and without any doubt, you’re the winner of the first task. It seems that the second task is worth 300 points, which is significantly more than the first one. This will spark Merula’s interest.

Professor Kettleburn will give you another hint. Perhaps there’s more than meets the eye in the shiny objects you and your friends received.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1630

Jae will then ask you to meet him in the Transfiguration classroom, so proceed there when you are ready. Once you arrive, you’ll notice Jae and Andre arguing.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1650
the all wizard tournament part 2 1670

Once he sees you, Jae will tell you that Andre doesn’t really want to share the classroom with anyone. It looks like he’s taking this whole competition quite seriously.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1700

You’ll then ask both of them why they want to win so badly. They will provide rather simple and direct answers.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1720
the all wizard tournament part 2 1730

In any case, you’ll make a logical assumption that Transfiguration spells may help you to uncover your next clue. Both of them will agree with you.

You’ll then decide to untransfigure your shiny objects. This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so don’t start this task if you’re low on energy.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1770

There are bonus progress actions linked to your character and Andre. Focus on these if you want to save some energy.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1780

When you’re done, you’ll successfully untransfigure your shiny object into a jar of… something.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1790

Unfortunately, Jae also won’t know what it is. Andre, on the other hand, will quickly figure out what’s in the jar. He’ll cheekily smile before leaving the classroom.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1820

Jae will also leave the classroom but he’ll at least promise to tell you if he finds out anything about the contents of the jar. Shortly after he exits the classroom, Merula will approach you. It looks like she’s been spying on you for quite some time.

This will come as no surprise to you. She made it clear earlier that she’d do anything to win. Apparently, she’s even willing to work together with you if that’s what it takes for her to win the tournament.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1870

In any case, you’ll get to choose whether or not you want to work together with her on the second task. This choice will have an effect on some of the following tasks and will be referenced later on. If you like Merula, it is highly recommended to team up with her. Otherwise, you can pick either option.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1880

Next, you’ll need to go to the Care of Magical Creatures to try and figure out what’s in the jar. This task will be different based on your last decision. The following section will feature the images from the gameplay where you team up with Merula. However, in either case, the story will play out quite similarly, so you won’t have to worry about missing anything.

When you arrive, you’ll notice Liz and Barnaby enjoying the company of some adorable Cruppies and Puffskeins.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1900

Apparently, they just wanted to take a break and relax for a while. It seems that Merula really enjoys tossing Puffskeins.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1930

Once again, if you completed Year 6 Chapter 18, you will get some extra dialogue lines. After that, Liz will explain why she wants to win the All-Wizard Tournament.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1940

Also, both Liz and Barnaby have yet to untransfigure their shiny object, so you will ask if they want to work together with you. Needless to say, they’ll be happy to help.

Examining the jar requires earning five stars within three hours. Once again, all five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy bar is empty.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1970

There are bonus progress actions linked to Barnaby and the jar. Prioritize those if you are interested in saving a bit of energy.

the all wizard tournament part 2 1980

When you finish the examination, Liz will figure out what’s in the jar. She’ll give you a clue about it. The content in the jar would make a human sick if eaten and it can be used as a sa potion ingredient, for example, in Girding Potion. You’ll then get to guess what’s in the jar. The correct answer is Doxy eggs.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2010

Liz and you will thank each other for help. Before you leave, Liz will say some important facts about Doxies.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2040

Next, you’ll get to prepare for the second task. Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard to meet with Penny. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of your friends. Simply tap on the speech bubbles above them to do so. Penny will happily congratulate you on winning the first task.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2070

Once again, if you’ve completed Year 6 Chapter 18, you will get some additional lines of dialogue.

She’ll then say that everyone at Hogwarts will be allowed to watch the second task. Needless to say, you’ll be quite surprised by that. Perhaps Penny can tell you more about the second task?

Talking to her requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass (five stars for Year 5 Chapter 17+).

the all wizard tournament part 2 2100

The only bonus progress action here is tied to Penny. Focus on her actions if you want to save some energy.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2110

Apparently, the second task will be held at the Training Grounds, and it was Hagrid who asked Penny to spread the word around. You’ll then tell Penny that the second task might involve Doxies. She will instantly warn you how dangerous these pests can be.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2140

In any case, Penny will offer her full support to you. She’ll ask if you think that this tournament is worth endangering yourself. There are two options to choose from. These won’t affect the outcome of the adventure, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2160

Regardless of your choice, Penny will commend your bravery.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2170

Still, the following task will definitely require a lot of courage.

the all wizard tournament part 2 2190

This will conclude Part 2 of The All-Wizard Tournament adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 2 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.

What will happen during the second task? What role will Doxies play in it? And will you manage to win that task too? Find out in the next part of this amazing adventure!
