This adventure is available for students of Year 6 and above, and it should unlock upon reaching Chapter 7 of Year 6. Upon starting the adventure, Professor McGonagall will ask you to report to her classroom, so proceed there when you are ready.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 6 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.]

Professor McGonagall will welcome the students to her class. She will inform everyone about the topic of the lesson.

She’ll ask for someone to come up and demonstrate Feather Duster to Ferret Transfiguration.

You will be the first one to volunteer.

Sadly, the Professor will want someone else to demonstrate the transfiguration.

She will look around and settle upon Wingardium Leviosa Kid.

Liz will quickly remember that he had trouble casting Wingardium Leviosa.

You’ll recall helping him master the spell, but sadly, he always had trouble casting it properly.

Wingardium Leviosa Kid will raise his wand and cast the spell.

Unfortunately, his transfiguration won’t really work as intended.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will be the first one to comment on the result of his transfiguration.

Needless to say, Merula’s words will affect the poor kid, so you’ll ask if he is all right.

He will admit that he’s feeling embarrassed.

You will tell him that everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

Sadly, your words won’t help him feel any better.

He will tell you that no one really cares for him much.

You will say that people often call you Curse-Breaker.

Still, that is definitely a nickname one should be proud of.

On the other hand, being called Wingardium Leviosa Kid isn’t really great.

However, he will decide to prove to everyone that he is more than that.

You will wonder what he has in mind.

Before giving you any details, Wingardium Leviosa Kid will ask you to tell him what it is like to be a curse-breaker.

You will gladly agree to tell him all about it.

Talking about being a curse-breaker requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

If you are looking to save as much energy as possible, it is recommended to earn a single star and wait for the timer to expire. It is also worth noting there are 5-cost actions tied to Wingardium Leviosa Kid, Merula, and your character.

After hearing stories about your curse-breaking adventures, Wingardium Leviosa Kid will say that he also wants to become a curse-breaker.

You will be surprised to hear that.

Apparently, you won’t be the only one to hear it.

Merula will be quite certain that Wingardium Leviosa Kid doesn’t have what it takes to become a curse-breaker. You can choose whether you want to agree with her, defend Leviosa Kid, or stay neutral. If you like Merula, it is recommended to agree with her. If you like Leviosa Kid, you should defend him.

Regardless of your choice, Wingardium Leviosa Kid will be determined to become a curse-breaker. He will ask you to teach him how to become one.

You will be honored by his request.

Still, since you haven’t really received any proper curse-breaking training, you won’t exactly be sure where to begin.

Wingardium Leviosa Kid will suggest starting at the library.

Before going there, you will ask him to tell you his name.

He will introduce himself as Wilfred Levi Kidd.

You will figure out that his initials are W.L.K.

He will explain it is a family tradition. Apparently, his father’s name is also Wilfred, so he prefers to be called Levi.

You will be glad to officially meet him, after all the time.

You will suggest heading over to the library once the class ends.

Proceed there once you are ready to continue.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

You will notice Levi reading something.

He will tell you he was entertaining himself with some brain-teasers while waiting for you. He’ll admit he enjoys solving puzzles.

Other than that, he also got every book he could find about curse-breaking.

You will admit that you could also benefit from the research.

Levi will thank you for agreeing to be his mentor.

Your previous choice will take effect here.

You will figure out that Levi really cares about becoming a curse-breaker.

Because of that, you will decide to do your best to help him.

Shortly after, his first curse-breaking lesson will begin.

Reading about curse-breaking requires earning five stars within one hour. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are 5-cost actions tied to Levi and your character. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

Levi will say that the lesson was very helpful.

You will then get to advise Levi. This choice won’t significantly affect the story, so feel free to pick either option.

Levi will find it interesting that many famous curse-breakers worked at Gringotts.

You will tell him you have a friend who’s working for Gringotts, Bill Weasley.

Levi will say that he would like to meet Bill Weasley one day.

Luckily for him, you might be able to arrange something.

He will be surprised to hear that.

You’ll tell him that Bill would probably be willing to let the two of you follow him on one of his adventures.

Needless to say, Levi will be thrilled to get an opportunity to see a professional curse-breaker in action.

You will decide to meet with Bill and see if he would let you accompany him on his next mission.

Proceed to the Three Broomsticks once you are ready to continue.

When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Meeting with Bill at the Three Broomsticks will remind you of the time you and the others surprised him after his graduation.

Bill will have fond memories of that time.

You will tell him you are helping Levi become a curse-breaker, and you need his help.

If you completed Adventures in Curse-Breaking, you will receive an additional line of dialogue.

Bill will gladly agree to help.

Levi will feel amazing sitting next to two curse-breakers.

You will notice that he is a bit uptight.

Your friend will kindly ask Levi to call him Bill.

Wilfred will wonder why Bill decided to become a curse-breaker.

Bill’s answer will differ, based on whether you completed Career Advice side quest or not.

You will agree with your friend.

Levi will ask what your favorite thing about being a curse-breaker is. There are three options to reply with. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Bill will wonder why you wanted to meet with him.

You will say that you’d like to accompany him on his next curse-breaking mission for Gringotts.

If you’ve completed Adventures in Curse-Breaking, you will get an additional line of dialogue.

Bill will be hesitant to let you and Levi join him.

As it seems, you will need to do some convincing.

In order to convince Bill to let you join him, you will need to earn five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s recommended not to start this task if you are low on energy.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Levi and your character. Focus on those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

After considering everything you’ve said, Bill will agree to let both Levi and you tag along, under one condition.

You will wonder what he has in mind.

He will want Levi to understand the dangers of being a curse-breaker.

You will agree with Bill.

Levi will ask you about the dangers.

You will decide to introduce him to someone who understands those dangers perfectly, Beatrice Haywood.

Levi will recall her being trapped in a portrait during the fifth year.

Bill will nod and say that he should definitely have a word with Beatrice.

He’ll tell you to meet him at Gringotts afterward.

Head to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom once you are ready to introduce Levi to Beatrice.

When you arrive, you will find Ismelda teaching Beatrice how to cast Densaugeo.

By the looks of it, Beatrice will be a fast learner. Her spell will hit the training dummy the moment before you walk past it.

Ismelda will find the whole situation funny.

You will point out that someone could’ve gotten hurt by the spell.

Beatrice will apologize to you and Levi. Since she won’t know his name, she will simply call him Leviosa Kid.

Levi will kindly ask her not to call him that.

Ismelda will find it hilarious that you are hanging with Leviosa Kid.

You will introduce Levi to them and say that you are helping him become a curse-breaker.

Beatrice will fail to see how any of that has anything to do with her.

You will quickly explain why you need her help.

Levi will ask her to tell him about her experience.

Beatrice won’t seem willing to talk about it. You have two options to choose from. Both of those will end up with a similar outcome, so feel free to pick either option.

In the end, Beatrice will agree to talk about what happened.

Talking to Beatrice requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, you shouldn’t start this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Beatrice and Levi. Prioritize their actions if you want to save some energy.

You will ask Levi to tell you how he feels after hearing Beatrice’s story.

He’ll tell her he is sorry she had to suffer being trapped in the portrait.

Beatrice will say that she managed to come out even stronger after that experience.

You’ll say that you are aware of that.

Still, there are countless others who only see her as someone who’s damaged.

Levi will be able to relate to that.

He’ll admit that it is the reason why he is so determined to become a curse-breaker.

Beatrice will encourage him to pursue his dreams.

You’ll ask Levi if he is certain he wants to become a curse-breaker.

He’ll tell you that the only thing he is afraid of is being known as ‘Leviosa Kid’ for the rest of his life.

You will suggest heading over to Gringotts to find Bill and join him on the curse-breaking adventure.

This will conclude Part 1 of The Rise of a Curse-Breaker adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward.

It looks like Levi really wants to become a curse-breaker. Will the mission be dangerous? Will Levi remain determined to pursue his dream? Find out in the next part of this adventure!
