Torvus and the Troubled Forest Part 3

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Torvus and the Troubled Forest Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you met with Professor Sprout and asked her to teach you how to grow some Bubotubers. Thankfully, she agreed to help and explained everything you need to know about those plants. Unfortunately, growing Bubotubers takes time, so you asked if there is some way to speed up the process. The Professor told you that you can use the Herbivicus Charm to quickly grow the plants. You went to Professor Flitwick, who kindly agreed to teach you all about the Herbivicus Charm. Once he was done teaching you, you went back to the Forbidden Forest, where you met with Liz and Charlie. Together, you regrew the Bubotubers. After that, you went to the forest lake to lure the troll away from it. Upon arriving, you noticed that the troll was having a standoff with a centaur, so you quickly calmed him down before things escalated. Luckily, you managed to do that, and you gave some Bubotubers to the troll. After tasting them, he decided to leave towards the field of Bubotubers, which allowed the centaurs to safely retrieve the water from the lake once again. Now is the time to return to Torvus, and tell him what happened. Upon starting this part, you will be met with a waiting period of four hours. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait, and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 4 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.]

Head to the Spider’s Lair once the waiting time is over.

You’ll happily greet Torvus and Hagrid once you arrive.

Torvus will notice that you are looking very pleased.

Hagrid will tell him that you are bearing good news.

The centaur will turn to you and ask you to tell him what happened.

You’ll say that you managed to restore balance to the forest lake. You will also mention that you regrew the Bubotubers in the field.

Charlie will tell him that the centaurs are free to retrieve water from the lake once again.

Torvus will ask if the troll left the lake peacefully.

You’ll tell him that you’ve arrived just in time to prevent the troll from attacking a centaur.

Torvus will give you a questioning look.

Your previous choice will take effect here.

You will realize that your actions impacted the forest more than you expected.

Hagrid will point out that you are doing your best to fix things.

However, you will feel there is more you can do to help the forest. You will ask if you can continue repairing the damage that has been done.

Torvus will be positively surprised by your determination to help.

He’ll say there is still much to be done before the balance is restored to the forest.

Both you and Charlie will be eager to help.

You’ll suggest starting by tracking down the missing Acromantula.

Torvus will nod and say there’s another disturbance in the forest.

You’ll wonder if it has anything to do with the missing Acromantula.

Unfortunately, you will have to wait a bit before investigating the disturbance.

Suddenly, several Acromantulas will appear nearby.

Torvus will say that those creatures are not as patient as he is.

Charlie will notice that they don’t look happy at all.

Hagrid will explain why they are angry.

You’ll figure out you need to reassure them that you are determined to fix things and find the missing Acromantula.

Torvus will suggest that you start speaking to them.

Reassuring Acromantulas requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to your character and one of the Acromantulas. Prioritize those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

In the end, the Acromantulas will turn around and leave the place.

According to Charlie, they genuinely believed that you are trying to fix things.

Hagrid will say that those creatures are often misunderstood. According to him, Acromantulas can be very polite, as long as you know how to handle them.

Still, Torvus will advise you to be careful. He’ll once again remind you that Acromantulas are not patient creatures.

You will decide to look for the missing Acromantula. Finding it is crucial for restoring the balance to the forest.

Torvus will suggest that you start with the disturbance he mentioned earlier.

Charlie will ask him about it.

Apparently, a group of fairies is under attack, and you will have to investigate it.

You’ll decide to look into it. Perhaps that way, you might be able to find the missing Acromantula as well.

Hagrid will tell you that Acromantulas don’t usually eat fairies. Nevertheless, you should still investigate the matter.

Torvus will assume that you are still up to the task.

You’ll nod and say that you’re serious about taking responsibility for your actions.

Charlie will suggest splitting up to cover more ground.

He’ll keep looking for clues about the whereabouts of the Acromantula while you go and help the fairies.

You will agree to that.

Charlie will ask if you have any advice for him. There are two options to reply with. This choice will have an effect during one dialogue later on, but it won’t affect the outcome of the story, so feel free to go with either option.

In any case, you will have a plan to deal with the situation.

Hagrid will wish you good luck before you go.

Charlie will suggest that you ask one of your friends to help.

You’ll decide to ask Barnaby to go with you.

Head to the Forest Grove once you are ready to continue.

Upon arriving, you will notice a Red Cap attacking the fairies.

You will find it odd to see the creature outside in broad daylight.

Barnaby will wonder why the Red Cap is attacking fairies.

You will figure out it has something to do with closing the forest vault.

You’ll also tell him you are trying to fix things and restore balance.

Barnaby will ask what you are planning to do.

You will figure out that the fairies are not flying away because they are probably afraid to give up their home. You’ll need to find a way to get the Red Cap to leave them alone.

Barnaby will suggest distracting the Red Cap.

To do that, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are 5-cost actions tied to the fairies and your character. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

Luckily, you’ll be able to save some of the fairies.

Sadly, the Red Cap will continue harassing the rest of them, so Barnaby will suggest finding a way to lure it away.

Still, you’ll have to figure out how to do that.

Barnaby will ask what the Red Caps like to do. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is “Collect and hoard items”.

You will figure out that you can lure away the Red Cap using some shiny object.

You’ll decide to ask Andre for help.

Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom once you are ready to meet with him.

You will tell Andre that something terrible has happened with the Forbidden Forest.

He will ask you to slow down and tell him everything from the beginning.

You will explain that meddling with the forest vault disturbed the balance of the forbidden forest.

You’ll also tell him about the troll problem you had to deal with.

Barnaby will mention the Red Cap as well.

Andre will be shocked to hear all of that.

Still, he won’t be sure if there’s anything he can do to help you against a Red Cap.

You’ll tell him you need a shiny object to lure the Red Cap back to its hole.

Andre will ask if the object needs to be valuable.

You will say that it only has to look nice and shiny.

The Red Cap shouldn’t notice the difference, as long as the item looks valuable.

Andre will suggest crafting something.

Thankfully, he has a lot of costume material lying around, so there should be something you can use.

Looking through material requires earning five stars within one hour. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is recommended not to start this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Andre and the glitter on the table. Focus on those if you want to save a bit of energy.

You will gather up some of the items.

Barnaby will add some shiny buttons.

You’ll decide to use a bit of magic to combine the items.

Andre will be the one to do it.

He will wave his wand, and the items will be fused into a shiny pendant.

You will be quite confident that you can use it to grab the Red Cap’s attention.

You will thank Andre for helping you.

He’ll smile and say he’s always up for a good fashion challenge.

He will ask you to let him know how things went.

Shortly after, Barnaby and you will head back to the forest.

Proceed to the forest grove when you are ready.

You will spot the Red Cap still harassing the fairies.

Barnaby will tell you to use the pendant to distract the Red Cap.

You will take out the piece of jewelry and start waving it in front of the creature.

Luckily, the plan will work, so all that’s left is to lure the Red Cap away from the fairies.

To do that, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are 5-cost actions linked to your character and the pendant. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

Luckily, the plan will work, and the Red Cap will leave the place.

Both Barnaby and you will be glad that the fairies are saved.

Now, the only thing that’s left is to find the missing Acromantula.

Barnaby will ask if you’ve heard anything from Charlie yet.

You’ll say that you haven’t heard from him ever since the two of you split up.

Barnaby will ask if you are worried about Charlie. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to go with the option you prefer. It’s also worth mentioning that the advice you gave Charlie will take effect here.

Either way, Barnaby will decide to head back to Hogwarts.

He’ll tell you he needs to redo his Transfiguration essay, which is why he can’t stay longer to help you.

You will wish him good luck with his essay and say that you will stay for a while longer to make sure the fairies are okay.

Shortly after Barnaby leaves, you will notice the Red Cap standing nearby.

It will look afraid of something. You will wonder what could’ve startled it.

You will decide to investigate the matter.

After all, you did promise that you will fix the problems.

Perhaps you will find answers inside the Red Cap’s hole.
