Torvus and the Troubled Forest Part 4
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for Torvus and the Troubled Forest Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, Charlie and you returned to Torvus after dealing with the troll at the lake. You told him the good news and made it clear you are determined to help the forest. Torvus was positively surprised to hear that, and he told you there’s another disturbance in the forest. Before he could tell you more about it, a group of Acromantulas showed up and you had to reassure them that you are going to find the missing member of their colony. Thankfully, you were able to convince them, and once they left, Torvus told you that a group of fairies is under attack. You and Charlie decided to split up to cover more ground. He went to look for the missing Acromantula, while you and Barnaby went to investigate the disturbance. Upon arriving at the place, you spotted a Red Cap harassing the fairies. You tried distracting the Red Cap and managed to save some fairies in the process. Unfortunately, you couldn’t get rid of the Red Cap, so you decided to take a different approach. You decided to lure the creature away using some shiny object. You went to see Andre and asked him for help. Thankfully, he had some costume material lying around, and the three of you started looking for shiny objects you can use. Luckily, you managed to find enough shiny material to create a valuable-looking pendant. You returned to the forest and used the pendant to lure the Red Cap away from the fairies. The plan worked, and you managed to save them. While talking to Barnaby, you realized that Charlie is nowhere to be found, so you decided to look for him. Proceed to the Red Cap’s hole when you are ready.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 4 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.]

Once you arrive, you will find Charlie trapped in the spider web.

He will be glad to see you.

You’ll tell him that you managed to find him thanks to investigating the fairies.

Moments later, you will notice the missing Acromantula nearby.

You’ll boldly say that you plan on reuniting it with the colony.

The Acromantula will be slightly surprised to hear that.

You will explain that the balance of the forest has been disturbed ever since two of you dueled outside the cursed vault.

Charlie will also say a few words.

You will point out how important it is for the Acromantula to return to the colony.

Unfortunately, it won’t be willing to go reunite with its kind.

On top of that, the creature will look forward to feasting on your friend.

You’ll make it clear that you’re not going to let that happen.

You will then get to choose whether you want to reason with the Acromantula or fight it. This choice will be referenced later on, so it is somewhat recommended to try to reason with the creature.

Unfortunately, regardless of your choice, you will be forced to defend yourself.

The task window will display the recommended attribute levels, as well as the cost of the duel. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

The recommended attribute levels for this duel will be very similar to your attributes, which will increase the difficulty of the duel. There is a good strategy you can use to have a high chance of winning the fight. This involves constantly going Aggressive and using Depulso. This way, you will need three casts of Depulso to win the duel. The most damaging attack the Acromantula has is tied to its Aggressive stance. However, if you constantly go Aggressive, it will never get to use that attack. That way, you will at most take 8 points of damage per turn, since the Acromantula’s Sneaky and Defensive attacks are not that damaging. This means that the creature will need five turns to defeat you. It’s worth noting that Acromantula’s Defensive attack has a chance to stun you, so if you are very unlucky, and get stunned more than three times, you might end up losing the duel. However, the possibility of this happening is fairly low, so in most cases, using this strategy will give you a solid chance of winning the duel.

Charlie will praise your dueling skills.

The Acromantula will come up with an excuse for why it lost the duel.

You will kindly ask the creature to return to its colony.

You’ll also point out that the Red Cap is unable to return to its home until the Acromantula leaves.

The creature will be surprised to see you concerned for it.

You will explain that you deeply care for all the creatures of the forest and are trying your best to restore the natural order of things.

Apparently, your words will convince the Acromantula to return to its colony.

Charlie will kindly remind you that he still needs to be freed from the spider web.

The Acromantula won’t like the idea of losing its meal.

However, it will decide to let you free your friend.

You will raise your wand and cast the Severing Charm to get rid of the spider web. Trace the wand movement to cast Diffindo.

The spell will work as intended, and moments later, your friend will be free.

You’ll then decide to return the Acromantula back to its colony.

You will need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Proceed to the Spider’s Lair once the waiting time is over.

Upon arriving, the Acromantula will say that it doesn’t need to be handed off to its colony, so it will ask you to leave the place.

You will be determined to see things through before leaving.

Charlie will try yelling for the other Acromantulas.

Shortly after, the members of the colony will show up.

Unfortunately, they won’t look very friendly.

Charlie will figure out that escorting the Acromantula wasn’t such a good idea. You can choose to agree with him or not. This choice will be referenced later, but it won’t affect the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

As it seems, the Acromantulas won’t be willing to let you leave the place peacefully.

Needless to say, getting betrayed like that won’t feel good.

Having no other options, Charlie and you will take out your wands and prepare to defend yourselves.

Battling Acromantulas requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to your character and a nearby Acromantula. Prioritize those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

Your previous choice will take effect here.

You will try your best to fend off the attackers.

The Acromantula will say that you made a wrong move by forcing it to return to its colony.

Still, you will stand by your decision to restore balance and help the forest.

The Acromantula will say that it doesn’t care much about that.

You will tell the creature it is wrong about that.

Reuniting it with the colony was one step towards restoring balance.

The Acromantula will make it clear that everyone should make their own choices.

You will say that you made the choice to help Torvus and return it to the colony.

The creature will say that it is making the choice to feast on Charlie and you.

The Acromantulas will start getting closer and closer.

Suddenly, you will spot a familiar figure approaching. Hagrid will arrive with a crossbow just in the nick of time.

Both you and Charlie will be very glad to see him.

He’ll also be glad to see the two of you unharmed.

The Acromantulas certainly won’t be happy to see him.

Hagrid will make it clear that they won’t be feasting on you or your friend.

He will also say that they should have respect for Charlie and you after you helped restore balance to the forest.

In the end, the Acromantulas will decide to let you go unharmed.

Moments later, they will leave the place.

You will thank Hagrid for saving you.

He will say that both of you are heroes.

Charlie will be surprised to hear that.

Hagrid will point out that the two of you saved the forest.

You won’t be completely sure if that’s the case, so you will decide to head back to Torvus and talk to him about it.

Proceed to the forest grove when you are ready.

You’ll happily tell Torvus there are a lot of things you want to tell him.

You’ll start by saying that you helped the fairies by luring away the Red Cap that was harassing them.

Hagrid will be surprised to hear that.

You’ll explain that the missing Acromantula was in the Red Cap’s hole, which made the Red Cap too scared to go home.

Charlie will add that he ended up caught in the Acromantula’s web.

Because of that, you were forced to duel the creature.

If you tried to reason with the Acromantula before dueling it, your character will be sure to mention that.

Torvus will be sorry that Charlie had to go through such an experience.

Thankfully, you were there to save your friend.

You’ll tell Torvus that you reunited the Acromantula with its colony. You will also mention that it didn’t exactly go the way you planned.

Luckily enough, Hagrid arrived just in time to save Charlie and you.

You will ask Torvus if there is anything else you can do to help the forest.

He will tell you that you’ve done more than enough.

He’ll go on and say that the forest is returning back to its normal state.

You will ask if it means that you were successful in your mission.

Torvus will happily nod.

Hagrid will feel very proud of Charlie and you.

Still, both of you will express some concerns.

Torvus will calmly tell you that everything is fine.

Still, you will be worried about the future.

Before answering your question, Torvus will ask you to tell him everything you learned on your journey.

Reviewing what you have learned requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Torvus and your character. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

You will admit that you never realized the full consequences of your actions.

You’ll add that each action has an effect, and the violence will only cause more violence.

On top of that, you learned how important it is to be respectful of your surroundings.

Torvus will wonder which one of those lessons you think is the most important. There are three options to choose from. There is no wrong choice here. Simply pick the lesson you consider the most important.

Torvus will admit that he is impressed with how much you’ve learned.

You will thank him for his kind words.

You’ll also thank him for allowing you to fix your mistake.

Torvus will then answer your previous question.

Hagrid will agree with him on that.

Torvus will go on and say that all life in the forest is connected, including yours.

He will advise you to respect that connection and support the forest.

You will ask if it means that you are allowed to continue visiting the Forbidden Forest.

He will smile and say that you are more than welcome to do so.

Charlie will ask if he can also keep visiting the forest.

Torvus will tell him that he is always welcome.

You will thank him for having faith in you.

He will decide to give you something, as a gesture to celebrate your new connection to the forest.

This will conclude Part 4 of Torvus and the Troubled Forest adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

You will earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

Also, the Flitterby will be placed in your dormitory. You can tap on it every day to receive a page.

That certainly was an adventure worth remembering. You helped Torvus restore balance to the forest, and you learned an important lesson in the process.
Thank you for reading, and see you soon with more adventures!
