Once you start the adventure, you’ll learn that Professor McGonagall has a special announcement for all of the students, so head to the Great Hall when you are ready.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 6 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.]

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your classmates before continuing.

Shortly after, Professor McGonagall will address the students.

As it turns out, the professors have some special, holiday-themed lessons for the students.

She’ll also announce the arrival of the famous wizard, Gilderoy Lockhart.

Charlie is definitely familiar with this one.

Shortly after McGonagall’s announcement is over, Talbott will ask you a question about Valentine’s Day. There are three options to reply with. While these won’t influence the story in any significant way, it is somewhat recommended to pick the first option.

You’ll then get to discuss Valentine’s Day with your friends. To do that, you need to obtain five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

If you are looking to save some energy, it is highly recommended to earn a single star and let the timer expire. That way, you can save over 20 energy, which could make a difference in the long run. Also, there are 5-cost actions linked to both Charlie and Ismelda.

Apparently, each of your friends has a different opinion about Valentine’s Day.

If you earlier said you love Valentine’s Day, Penny will be very happy to hear that.

Proceed to the Herbology classroom for your first Valentine’s Day lesson.

As you arrive, you’ll be able to have a few words with some of the characters.

Professor Sprout will explain the importance of flowers for Valentine’s Day.

Diego will ask her a question about mistletoe.

Penny will immediately make an assumption. You’ll get to respond to her in two different ways. If you like her, it is somewhat recommended to go with the first option.

You’ll then get some sweet words from Penny. If you were her date before, you’re in for some additional dialogue lines.

Moments later, Professor Sprout will answer Diego’s question.

Apparently, roses will be the focus of today’s lesson.

Tonks will point out the obvious.

The Professor will provide an explanation.

Learning Herbivicus Charm requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

If you’re looking to save some energy, it is recommended to earn three stars and then wait for the timer to run out. You should be easily able to earn three stars with a single energy bar, and while waiting for the timer to expire, all of your energy should replenish. It’s also worth noting that there are 5-cost actions linked to Tonks and Professor Sprout.

When you are done, you’ll be tasked with casting Herbivicus Charm.

Apparently, all of your classmates managed to cast this spell without any problems, which will make the Professor very proud.

Needless to say, Penny will be overjoyed.

The next class you have to attend is Potions.

Head to the Potions classroom when you are ready.

Once again, you’ll get the chance to interact with some of the characters before the class begins.

Professor Snape will announce the potions you’ll be studying today.

He’ll also remind everyone that Love Potions are strictly prohibited at Hogwarts.

Barnaby will make a funny remark.

Snape will say a few words about the contents of the cauldron.

Liz will ask him a question about Love Potions.

Professor Snape will provide her with an answer.

He’ll also warn everyone not to stay too close to the cauldron.

Barnaby will be curious to know what Amortentia smells like.

Snape will explain it to him.

Merula will ask you an interesting question. If you like her, it is recommended to pick the first option. If you prefer Barnaby, it is advised to go with the second one. Otherwise, you can feel free to pick any option.

If any of them was your date, you’re in for some additional lines of dialogue.

Shortly after, you’ll get to study Amortentia. Doing so requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

Once again, if you want to save some energy, it is recommended to earn three stars and wait for the timer to expire. This should save you some energy, which could make a difference later on. Also, the only 5-cost action here is tied to Snape, so prioritize his actions if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, the Professor will point out that all of you are likely under the influence of the potion.

However, he’ll simply ask you to leave his classroom as soon as possible.

Your next Valentine’s Day class is Transfiguration. Go to the classroom when you’re ready.

Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your classmates. Tap on those if you’re interested to see what they have to say.

Professor McGonagall will say a few words about today’s lesson.

If you completed First Date Adventure, you’ll recall some past events. Also, if Tulip, Andre, or Talbott were your dates previously, they’ll be sure to mention it.

It seems that you’ll be learning how to Transfigure Lovebirds into Love Notes.

You’ll be curious about these love notes.

The Professor will answer your question.

Talbott isn’t too fond of sharing his private feelings.

Unlike Andre, who seems to be very open about it.

Tulip will be curious to know what you think about it. There are three options to respond with. These won’t influence the story in any significant way, so feel free to take your pick.

Professor McGonagall will provide everyone with some additional information.

Soon enough, the lesson will start. Completing it requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

Like before, if you want to save some energy, it is recommended to earn three stars and wait until the timer expires. Also, there are 5-cost actions tied to Professor McGonagall.

Once you finish this, you’ll be tasked with performing this transfiguration.

The spell will work and your love bird will be transfigured into a love note.

Andre will ask you about your love note.

He seems very curious to know who your valentine is.

Before you give him an answer, Tulip will arrive to tell you about her love note.

In any case, your next Valentine’s Day lesson awaits.

Proceed to the Charms classroom when you’re ready.

When you get there, you’ll be able to have a few words with some of the characters.

Professor Flitwick will ask everyone a question about Valentine’s Day lessons. There are two options to respond with. These won’t influence the story in any major way, so feel free to pick either one.

According to Flitwick, this will be the last Valentine’s Day lesson.

As it appears, this lesson will be about Entrancing Enchantments.

Completing it requires earning five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this one if your energy bar is empty.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Professor Flitwick and the book in front of your character. Prioritize these if you want to save a bit of energy.

When you’re done, the Professor will say a few words about the second charm he’ll be lecturing during this class.

Luckily, this won’t be a long lecture.

Professor Flitwick will remind everyone that a guest lecture by Gilderoy Lockhart will be starting fairly soon.

In four hours to be precise. It is recommended to simply wait for this timer to run out and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

Proceed to the Great Hall once the waiting time is over.

You’ll be able to have a few words with some of your friends upon arriving.

By the looks of it, the lecture hasn’t started yet.

The moment Andre finishes that sentence, you’ll notice the guest fabulously entering the Great Hall.

After greeting everyone, he’ll introduce himself.

Andre will be curious to know what you think about Gilderoy Lockhart, and you have three options to choose from. These won’t affect the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Lockhart will say a few more words before he starts his lecture.

Apparently, he wants to share some of his adventures with all of the students.

This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Since Gilderoy Lockhart is full of adventures he wants to share, he’s the only object with actions available here.

By the time you’re done listening to his lecture, you and your friends will be mentally exhausted.

As pointed out by Andre, some of his stories don’t really make sense.

Moments later, Lockhart will make an announcement.

Shortly after, Part 1 of Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

Will you be among the students chosen to attend Gilderoy Lockhart’s book signing event? Who else will be there? Find out in Part 2 of this lovely adventure.
Thank you for reading.
