Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.
Previously, you and some of your friends were randomly selected by Gilderoy Lockhart to be his apprentices and help him prepare a party. While making preparations, you learned that pretty much all of your friends want you to be their Valentine’s Day date, so you’re faced with a tough decision.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 4 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 4 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]
Proceed to the Three Broomsticks to meet with them. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters before continuing.
Your friends will be curious to know why you wanted to meet with them. Merula will start explaining.
You’ll provide some additional insight and say that Sir Cadogan overheard Gilderoy Lockhart talking to himself about it. If that is true, it means that no one was randomly selected.
Most of your friends will be confused by this.
Talbott, however, will be quite certain Lockhart is planning something other than a party. Speaking of Lockhart, he’ll suddenly show up and approach you and your friends.
He’ll want to know what you were discussing. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t impact the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick whichever option you want.
Lockhart will want an update on the party planning, so updating him is your next task.
Here are the requirements for it:
Year 4 = 3h – 1/5 stars;
Year 5 and above = 3h – 5/5 stars.
One more time, Lockhart will be the center of all attention… and all of the actions will be linked to him.
When he’s done talking, he’ll thank you all for your update… regardless of the fact that you didn’t say a single word.
Before leaving Madam Rosmerta’s establishment, Lockhart will say that he’ll meet you and your friends at Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop when the party begins. He’ll remind everyone to bring their stories.
Merula won’t be too happy about the way things played out. She will wonder what to do next.
Barnaby will suggest doing some decorating. He’ll seem pretty enthusiastic about it.
You’ll think about it for a second and then agree to his proposition. This will immediately put a huge smile on Barnaby’s face.
Just as you’re about to leave, Tonks will stop you for a moment. She’ll ask if you figured it out. You’ll shake your head and say that you’re still unsure what the party is really all about.
Tonks will chuckle after hearing your response. It looks like she’s curious to know if you’ve chosen your valentine.
She will suggest you make a decision soon. You’ll agree with her and say that you are going to decide while decorating Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop. Go there when you’re ready to continue.
Madam Puddifoot will greet you warmly once you arrive.
Penny will remind you that there isn’t much time before the party starts.
Luckily, Andre is almost done with everyone’s outfits, which should give you plenty of time to decorate the place.
Penny will ask everyone if they’ve found their dates yet. Your friends will say that they asked someone but haven’t gotten an answer yet.
This will put you in an awkward situation.
Luckily, Madam Puddifoot will save you before things get any more awkward.
Choosing a valentine while decorating the place is your next task.
Here are the requirements for it:
Year 4 = 3h – 1/5 stars;
Year 5 and above = 8h – 5/5 stars.
There are actions with bonus progress linked to Madam Puddifoot and Penny. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.
The place will look marvelous once you’re done decorating.
It looks like you have to make an important decision very soon. Madam Puddifoot will say that she cannot stall for you any longer.
If you completed First Date adventure, you’ll get some additional dialogue lines.
And finally, the time has come for you to decide who will be your valentine. Madam Puddifoot will advise you to follow your heart.
This is the MOST IMPORTANT decision of the whole adventure. The classmate you select here will be your date, and it will HEAVILY influence the rest of the adventure. Tap on the exclamation mark above the person you want to be your Valentine’s Day date.
You will have one last chance to change your mind. If you are certain about your decision, choose the first option. Otherwise, you can decide again.
The rest of the walkthrough will feature the protagonist choosing Merula as their date. While some of the dialogues are different for other characters, most of the story is fairly similar, and you won’t miss out on any of the rewards, no matter who you choose, so just go with your heart!
Your friend will be quite curious to see you approaching.
This time, you won’t hesitate, and will confidently ask your classmate to be your Valentine’s Day date.
Luckily, your friend will be more than happy to be your date.
You’ll admit that you were asked out by the other friends. Your date will be very surprised to hear that.
If the two of you were on a date earlier, you’ll get some additional dialogue lines.
However, you’ll be unsure if the party will play out the way you expect. Your date will assure you that everything will be fine.
Still, both of you will have to get your party outfits first. Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready to see your outfit.
Andre will inform you that everyone else already picked their outfits. He’ll then show you the outfits he prepared for you.
Andre will be grateful for helping him overcome his fear of pink. You’ll thank him for going out of his way to create the outfit for you.
You will then get to choose an outfit.
Here are the requirements for this task:
Year 4 = 3h – 1/5 stars;
Year 5 and above = 8h – 5/5 stars.
Both of the outfits have bonus progress actions tied to them, which should save you some energy.
When you are done, you’ll get to decide which outfit you want to wear. This choice is very IMPORTANT since it will permanently unlock the chosen outfit for you. Thankfully, you can try out both before making a final decision.
Below are images of both outfits on a wizard character. Bear in mind that each of these comes with a unique hairstyle as well.
Once you decide which outfit you want, tell Andre you are sure about it. Otherwise, you can try the other one by telling him you aren’t sure.
Once again, you will thank Andre for all the hard work he’s done.
If Andre is your valentine, you will get some additional lines of dialogue. Otherwise, he’ll be curious to know who your date is.
If you didn’t choose Andre as your date, you will tell him who your valentine is.
This will create a bit of an awkward moment.
Thankfully, Andre is an understanding person, so he won’t make things any more difficult for you.
Shortly after, Part 3 of Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You’ll receive 3 Gems, 150 Experience points, and the outfit and the hairstyle you chose.
What will happen at Lockhart’s party? Will your Valentine’s Day date turn out to be everything you’ve expected? Find out in the fourth and final part of this sweet adventure!
