Chapter 6 – Bill Weasley

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Six of Year Two of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous Chapter, you learned how to brew the Strengthening Solution. This potion has many uses and it might come in handy on your quest for the Cursed Vaults.

You paid a visit to Rowan in the Hospital Wing, and luckily enough, your friend’s injuries weren’t too serious. Later on, Rowan advised you to seek the aid of Bill Weasley regarding the Cursed Vault situation.

The first story task in this Chapter is meeting Bill. However, you should complete the lessons part of the chapter first, so proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready.

To unlock Spongify lesson, you need to earn a total of nine stars from Transfiguration classes. The easiest way to do so is by completing three three-hour classes. However, if you want to earn more attribute and house points, it is recommended to do two eight-hour classes.

Focus on completing bonus progress actions in order to save some energy. Also, try your best to be successful at mini-tasks since each of those will reward you with ten Knowledge points.

Once you obtain all nine stars, Spongify lesson should be unlocked, so head back to the classroom to attend it.

To complete the lesson, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all stars are required to pass, it is recommended to have full energy prior to starting it.

Complete this one in the same way as any other class, and you should have no problems with it.

After you earn all five stars, you will be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the path on the screen to successfully cast Spongify.

You will earn a reward for completing the lesson. You can claim it in the Transfiguration section of your Hogwarts Record.

Now that you’re done with the lesson, you can resume the main storyline. Tap on the GO button and proceed to the Training Grounds to meet with Bill Weasley.

You’ll find him practicing spells there. The choice that you made near the end of the previous chapter will take effect here.

After talking with Bill for a bit, he will ask why you are interested in the cursed vaults. You have three response options.

Each of the answers will give you five attribute points, so feel free to choose one to your liking. Bill will be eager to help you because he thinks that the cursed ice is a danger to all of Hogwarts, and breaking a Cursed Vault might stop the ice.

He’ll even offer to train you in dueling. But first, you need to practice your spellcasting some more. That is your next task. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom.

There are some interesting facts about this task. First, it behaves similarly to any five-star class with few exceptions. The time to complete it is limited to one hour, but it can be done with one energy bar. While the end rewards are in line with other one-hour classes, since it has five stars, you can get both a reward and a mini-task after obtaining each star.

Remember that since it is a one-hour task, you should definitely wait until you have full energy before starting it. Other than that, it behaves the same as any other class.

Once you are done, you’ll receive the task to duel Bill. There is, however, a waiting period of eight hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Once you are able to proceed, go to the Training Grounds to meet with Bill. He will ask you to rate yourself as a dueller. You have two possible options.

Each one will give you five attribute points, but the outcome is the same, you will get to duel Bill. Tap on the exclamation mark to open the task window.

You can check the recommended attribute levels there as well as the cost of the duel. When you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

This duel will be more difficult than some of the previous ones you had so far. Luckily enough, the recommended attribute levels aren’t too high, and occasionally, you will get the insight that will help you predict Bill’s next move, so be sure to use it to your advantage.

After you defeat him, he will be impressed with your dueling skills. He will even decide to teach you one of his favorite spells. Tap on the GO button and proceed to the Courtyard to talk to Bill.

As soon as you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say to you.

After that, tap on the exclamation mark to start the conversation with Bill. He’ll ask how you are feeling regarding the whole situation. You can respond to him in three ways.

Each answer will award you with five points in a different attribute. Since the outcome is pretty much the same, pick whichever one you prefer the most. Bill will explain that in order to have any chance against the cursed ice, you’ll need to learn Incendio.

However, it is a very dangerous spell and should be handled with extreme caution. Therefore, before he can teach you how to use it, you’ll need to study it for a while.

There is a three-hour waiting period before you can do that. Once you are able to continue, hit the GO button and proceed to your Common Room.

When you arrive there, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the students. Tapping on those will reveal what they have to say to you.

Afterward, tap on the exclamation mark to start the conversation with Rowan. Your friend will immediately ask about your training with Bill. You can choose one of three answers.

Each one will give you five attribute points, but no matter what you select, Rowan will be a bit jealous of you. You’ll then get to study Incendio. This task requires you to earn five stars within three hours. Since only one star is needed to pass, it shouldn’t be too difficult.

As always, focus on completing bonus progress actions in order to save as much energy as possible.

When you are done with studying, you’ll be asked to tell Bill that he can count on Rowan if he ever needs a study partner or simply someone to follow him around. In fact, Rowan will ask you to make a promise.

Not promising anything will require you to have level ten Empathy, and will also reward you with ten attribute points. The choice is entirely up to you, but making a promise will surely put a smile on Rowan’s face.

Your next task is to meet Bill on the Training Grounds, so proceed there when you are ready. If you made a promise to Rowan, you’ll get some extra lines of dialogue.

After a bit of talking you’ll receive a task to learn Incendio. It is an eight-hour task requiring five stars to complete.

This is most likely one of the hardest tasks to complete so far. The reason being is that there are no actions with bonus progress here. This will make filling up the star meter go slower than usual, so it is highly recommended to have full energy prior to starting the task.

Once you obtain all five stars, you’ll be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to successfully cast Incendio.

Congratulations! You have just learned one of the best spells usable against the cursed ice. And not just that, you can use it in dueling as well. Bill will praise your performance and ask if there is anything he can do to prepare for the cursed vault. You have three response options.

The second option is the preferred one if you meet the attribute requirement. Otherwise, select one of the other two.

Shortly after, Chapter 6 of Year 2 will be completed. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 200 Coins and 400 Experience points. This will also add Bill to your list of friends.
