Once you start, Hagrid will ask you to meet him in the Great Hall, so go there when you are ready. Upon greeting him, he’ll tell you that he needs your assistance.

However, he won’t be sure if he should be asking you for help. You have three options to reply with. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, feel free to take your pick.

In any case, Hagrid will decide to tell you more. He’ll explain that Professor Sprout needs more fertilizer.

You will recall that she is using dragon dung to fertilize the plants, so you’ll quickly figure out that Hagrid’s task has something to do with dragons.

Eventually, Hagrid will agree to share the details with you. Discussing dragons requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.

here there be dragons 1090

While both your character and Hagrid have bonus progress actions tied to them, there are more of those linked to Hagrid, so prioritize his actions to save some energy.

here there be dragons 1100

Unlike many of the adventures you had so far, the task Hagrid has in mind is fairly mundane.

There are two options to respond with. Other than some dialogue differences, this choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

He’ll then tell you to meet him in the Magical Creatures Reserve when you have time.

Next, you’ll need to reach Magizoologist level 4 before you can continue. At this point, this shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish.

here there be dragons 1130

When you are ready, head to the Training Grounds to continue. Upon arriving, Hagrid will decide to open up and tell you why he needs dragon dung.

He’ll say that he needed fertilizer for his pumpkin patch, so he borrowed some from Professor Sprout. Unfortunately, he used too much, so he wants to make it up to her.

here there be dragons 1170

You will quickly figure out that Hagrid needs you to gather some dragon dung for him. He’ll tell you there are a few dragons living around the school grounds.

If you’ve adopted the Welsh Green already, you will mention it.

here there be dragons 1180

Hagrid will say that Welsh Greens are the easiest dragon to work with. You’ll find it odd that Hagrid asked you for help and not Charlie. After all, there is no one at Hogwarts who likes dragons more than him.

Apparently, there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for that. Hagrid will say that Charlie’s mom specifically told him not to go near dragons outside of class. Needless to say, no one in their right mind would cross Molly Weasley.

here there be dragons 1220

In any case, you’ll agree to help Hagrid, and he’ll be overjoyed to hear that.

You’ll then get to discuss dragon dung with him. This requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.

here there be dragons 1250

Once again, Hagrid has more bonus progress actions linked to him, so prioritize his actions to save some energy.

here there be dragons 1260

When you are done, Penny will arrive asking if the two of you are gathering fertilizer.

Apparently, she is well aware that Professor Sprout is out of fertilizer, but she doesn’t know that Hagrid is the one responsible for it. You can choose to tell the truth or cover for him. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, it is somewhat recommended to cover for Hagrid.

here there be dragons 1280

Regardless of your choice, Penny will be pretty excited to help you with this task.

Next, you will need to adopt the Welsh Green dragon.

To do that, you need 60 Red and 30 Blue Notebooks. This is pretty much the most difficult task in the entire side quest, but given that there is no time limit, you should eventually be able to complete it.

here there be dragons 1310

Once you bid farewell to your notebooks, you will be tasked with collecting dragon dung. Proceed to the Forest area of Magical Creatures Reserve when you are ready to meet with Penny.

Upon arriving, you will introduce Penny to your Welsh Green. The following dialogue will differ, depending on whether or not you have it at the max trust level.

here there be dragons 1330

Needless to say, Penny will be extremely excited to see a dragon. Sadly, your Welsh Green won’t act too friendly toward her.

She’ll ask if she should try to pet it. The following scene will play out a bit differently, depending on this choice. Ultimately, both choices will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

here there be dragons 1360

Either way, you will decide to show Penny how to handle a Welsh Green dragon. To do that, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass.

here there be dragons 1370

There should be a fair number of bonus progress actions available here. Prioritize them whenever they are up to save energy.

here there be dragons 1380

When you are done, you’ll notice that Penny is overjoyed to get the opportunity to spend time with the dragon.

here there be dragons 1390

In the meantime, you’ll collect the fertilizer Hagrid asked for. Penny will ask if you know what would really make Hagrid happy.

Obviously, that won’t really be hard to figure out.

here there be dragons 1420

Penny will be quite surprised that you always know what she is going to say. You’ll smile and say that it is a gift. These lines will differ, depending on whether or not your character knows Legilimency.

In any case, you’ll decide to work with your dragon for a while in order to make sure everything goes well.

here there be dragons 1450

In other words, you will need to reach the maximum level of trust with your Welsh Green before you can proceed. This may take a while, but since this side quest is not time-limited, you will eventually be able to get there.

here there be dragons 1460

Once you are finally done, head to the Courtyard to meet with Hagrid.

Shortly after arriving, Hagrid will tell you the bad news. A Muggle village was recently attacked by a dragon, and the Ministry got called in.

As it turns out, they are blaming your dragon for the attack. You have two options to respond to this, but both will end up with the same outcome, so feel free to pick either one.

here there be dragons 1490

As it turns out, Professor Dumbledore is to investigate the matter and determine if your Welsh Green is responsible for the attack.

here there be dragons 1510

After talking for a while, Penny and you will decide to work together and find a way to prove that your dragon is innocent.

Planning a defense requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if your energy is low.

here there be dragons 1530

Both Penny and your character have actions with bonus progress tied to them, which should make things a bit easier for you.

here there be dragons 1540

After reviewing all the facts, you will realize that your Welsh Green was with you at the time of the attack.

Still, you will need some evidence to back it up. Perhaps the fertilizer could serve as proof?

here there be dragons 1580

However, you might need to do some research before going to visit the Headmaster.

This means you need to gain 400 knowledge points before you’re able to continue. Yes, four hundred. While this may sound intimidating, you should generally be able to finish this task by completing three 8-hour classes.

If you are in Year 5 and above, it is recommended to do History of Magic, otherwise just do Potions classes. Also, keep in mind that you can earn some attribute points by feeding your max-level magical creatures. There is also the option of buying some Knowledge-awarding cosmetic items if you are impatient.

here there be dragons 1600

Once you gather enough Knowledge points, proceed to the Headmaster’s office to defend your Welsh Green.

Upon greeting you, Professor Dumbledore will explain that he’s tasked with determining if your Welsh Green was responsible for the attack on a Muggle village.

He’ll then ask if there’s anything you’d like to say. There are three options to choose from. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, picking the third option will result in some hilarious lines of dialogue.

here there be dragons 1630

After a bit, you will tell the Headmaster that you were with your Welsh Green at the time of the attack.

Still, you will need to prove it. Presenting your case requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so it is not recommended to start this task if your energy bar is empty.

here there be dragons 1650

Both Penny and Professor Dumbledore have bonus progress actions linked to them. Prioritize those actions if you are looking to save some energy.

here there be dragons 1660

When you are done, the Headmaster will say that dragon dung alone cannot prove your dragon’s innocence.

However, he will believe you were with your Welsh Green at the time of the attack, so he will say that he is going to try and convince the Ministry that your dragon is innocent.

here there be dragons 1690

He’ll also commend your dedication, and ask if you’ve ever considered serving on the Wizengamot.

You have two options to pick from. If this is something you’d like for your character, it is recommended to pick the second option.

here there be dragons 1710

All that’s left now is to meet with Hagrid and tell him the good news. Head to the Magical Creatures Reserve when you are ready to continue.

Upon greeting him, you will introduce Hagrid to your Welsh Green dragon.

here there be dragons 1750

You’ll also tell him that Professor Dumbledore is going to try his best to convince the Ministry that your dragon is innocent.

After a bit, all of you will decide to spend some time with your dragon. This requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.

here there be dragons 1780

Both Hagrid and your character have bonus progress actions linked to them. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

here there be dragons 1790

Moments after you’re done, the Headmaster will arrive, bringing the good news. He’ll say that your dragon was found innocent.

Apparently, the dragon responsible for the attack has been found. The Ministry decided to take it to a sanctuary, where it can breathe fire as much as it wants.

here there be dragons 1820

Shortly after, Here There Be Dragons side quest will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 175 Experience points.

You will also earn 400 Friendship Experience points with Hagrid, which will help you level up his friendship.

here there be dragons 1840

Thankfully, all ended well for your Welsh Green dragon, and your friendship with Hagrid is growing stronger.

Thank you for reading and see you soon with more amazing adventures!
