Chapter 11
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, it’s time for Chapter Eleven of Year Four of our Magical Journey Walkthrough for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you met Charlie and made plans for searching the Forbidden Forest. You decided to play it safe and invited one more person to join you on this venture. After searching for some time, you stumbled upon a strange hole full of awful things. As it turned out, it was a Red Cap’s hole – home of a dangerous creature. To make matters worse, it showed up and you were forced to flee. Afterward, you met with your friends in the library and discussed the situation. You came to a realization that Red Caps are generally repulsed by all things beautiful, and decided to seek Penny’s help with brewing a Beautification Potion.
Now, you can kick things off with the lessons part of the chapter. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Castle Grounds.

Unlocking the Streeler Lesson requires you to earn a total of nine stars from the Care of Magical Creatures class. There are several different ways to do it, depending on your playstyle, but one of the most optimal ways involves completing three of the three-hour classes. However, if you want to earn some additional rewards, you might want to consider taking two of the eight-hour classes. Once you decide, hit the Start button to begin.

Do these classes in a usual way – complete actions by tapping on the glowing objects. This will fill up the star meter and eventually, you’ll earn stars. You should prioritize the actions with the high cost since those will fill up more of the star meter per energy point spent.

Also, every time you earn a star, you’ll be given a mini-task. Complete it successfully to gain ten Empathy points.

When you are done, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards and continue.

Now that the lesson has been unlocked, you can head back to the Care of Magical Creatures to attend it. To complete this one, you need to obtain five stars within eight hours.

There is not much of a difference between this lesson and regular eight-hour classes. The biggest one is that all five stars are needed to pass, so you should keep that in mind. On average, it’ll take you around one hundred energy to finish this.

When you are done, hit the Collect button to continue.

For your second lesson of the chapter, proceed to the Herbology Classroom.

To unlock the Shrivelfig Lesson, you need to obtain nine stars from the Herbology Class. Like before, select the class combination that suits you the most and hit the Start button to begin.

As before, focus on completing the actions with the high-cost.

And pay attention to the mini-tasks in order to gain some additional Empathy points.

When you are done, the Shrivelfig Lesson will be unlocked so you should proceed back to the classroom.

To complete this one, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all of the stars are mandatory in order to pass, having full energy before the start is highly advised.

Follow the same steps you took in the classes beforehand and you shouldn’t encounter any problems.

Once you get all five stars, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards and continue.

Now that you’ve completed the lessons, you can resume the story. However, you’ll notice that there is a new side quest available, so you should complete it before advancing the main plot. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Library to meet Tonks.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with certain characters. Simply tap on their speech bubbles to see what they have to say.

Afterward, Tonks will tell you that she has to pass a special test to avoid getting stuck in a permanent detention.

She’ll also explain to you how she got in this situation. Make sure to read it through, it’s quite the hilarious story. You’ll then get a task to help her study. To pass it, you need to earn at least one out of five stars within an hour. All things considered, this should be relatively easy to accomplish.

It will take you thirty energy or so to finish this task, so as long as you didn’t start with an empty energy bar, you’ll be fine.

When you are done, Tonks will ask you for advice. You can respond in three different ways.

Since all of the choices lead to the same outcome, you can feel free to select the one you prefer or you can pick the third option for some extra attribute points. In any case, hit the GO button and proceed to the Herbology Classroom for the next task.

When you arrive, Professor Sprout will be surprised and she’ll want to know why are you there. You have three options to respond with.

All of the options lead to the same outcome, so it is recommended to go with the first one to gain some extra Empathy points. After talking for a bit, you’ll be allowed to take the test alongside Tonks. This is an hour-long task with the completion requirement of five stars. Only one star is needed to pass, however.

Approximately thirty energy is needed to obtain all five stars, so if you started with a full bar, you should easily be able to finish this in one go.

Once you are done, the Professor will congratulate both of you on passing the test.

Tonks will be extremely happy about this and will want to celebrate it. She’ll invite you to visit Zonko’s with her. When you are ready, hit the GO button and proceed there.

As soon as you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to find out what they have to say.

You’ll then talk to Tonks for a bit and decide to have a look around to see if there is something that could spark your interest. This is a three-hour task with the passing requirement of one star. To complete the entirety of it, you’ll need to earn five stars.

Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There should be a fair amount of them available at the same time, so simply focus on the ones with the highest cost to save some energy.

After you finish this, Tonks will invite you to trick Filch in his office. Tap on the GO button and head there to meet her.

When you get there, you’ll have a conversation with Tonks about a couple of things before you receive the next task. It involves searching Filch’s office to find the most suitable spots to leave pranks. To complete it, you need to obtain five stars within one hour. Like before, only one star is required to pass.

While completing this, follow the usual routine and you’ll be done in no time.

Shortly after you finish the task, Peeves will show up.

You’ll have an interesting conversation and then Tonks will ask you to help her choose her next prank victim. You have three different options.

Feel free to choose the one you prefer since this choice won’t affect the quest. For the next task, you should proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard.

Once you arrive, you’ll notice that some of the characters have something to tell you. Tap on the speech bubbles above them if you are curious to find out what they have to say.

Apparently, Tonks is planning to teach you a spell called Jelly-Legs Curse. To learn it, you need to earn at least one out of five stars within three hours.

There are no high-cost actions for this task, so you’ll likely need to spend around 55-60 energy to complete it.

Once you’re done, you’ll be tasked with casting the Jelly-Legs Curse on Tonks. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.

For the next task, you should meet Tonks on the Training Grounds. Hit the GO button and proceed there when you’re ready.

Upon arriving, she’ll tell you that she wants to help you improve your dueling skills.

There is, however, a question of what to do in case you get caught. After all, if she breaks another school rule, she could get in a serious trouble. You have three options to choose from.

This choice has some consequences. If you go with the first option, you’ll get five Courage points. Picking the second one will grant you five Empathy points, but later on, you’ll lose ten House Points. The bright side of it is that you’ll witness a fairly hilarious scene and losing some points might be totally worth the laughs. The last option will award you ten Knowledge points and later on, you’ll also get ten House Points. After you decide which choice to make, tap on the crossed wands icon to proceed.

This will open the task window. It’ll display the recommended attribute levels as well as the gold cost of each attempt. Once you are ready, hit the Start button to begin.

Dueling Tonks might present quite the challenge due to the fact that she is highly unpredictable, so she won’t be that easy to defeat. At this point, however, you should have a nice attribute advantage, so it could swing the odds in your favor. Try not to rely on the Sneaky stance too much since she could easily hit you with the Aggressive and take a large chunk of your stamina instantly. Instead, focus mostly on the Aggressive to strike and Defensive to heal and you should be able to beat her.

Shortly after you’re done, Professor McGonagall will appear and ask you to explain yourselves. This is where the previous choice kicks in. Depending on which option you selected, you’ll either be awarded or punished with ten House Points or in one case there won’t be consequenced.

After that, Tonks will reveal the shocking truth to you.

You’ll talk for a bit longer and then the quest will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

Now that both the lessons and the side quest have been dealt with, you can continue the main story. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Great Hall to meet Penny.

When you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with several characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

You’ll then explain the situation to Penny in a rather humorous way.

After that, you’ll get the task to form a plan with Penny. The task window will display the recommended attribute levels and the gold cost. Hit the Start button to begin.

This is fairly similar to the Meal With a Friend mini-game. Simply use the logical answers to Penny’s questions and you shouldn’t encounter any problems. The pictures below will depict some of the questions and the answers to them.

Once you’re done, Penny will be fairly satisfied with the plan.

Your next task involves getting the ingredients from the Herbology Class. Proceed there when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to check out what some of the characters have to say by tapping on their speech bubbles.

You’ll then ask Professor Sprout if she has any Ginger Root you could borrow. Sadly, she doesn’t, but she’ll be curious to know what were you planning to do with it. You can respond in three ways.

The first option will give you ten Attribute points compared to five you’d gain from the other two. However, some of those can lead to pretty interesting lines of dialogue and are definitely worth checking out. Regardless of your choice, you’ll be advised to visit Hagrid at his hut and see if he can help you.

After that, the class will begin. To complete this one, you need to earn five stars within one hour with one star being required to pass. This is particularly good because it functions as a regular class. What this means is that you’ll get to choose a reward after earning each star and you’ll also get a mini-task to earn some additional Empathy points.

On average, it will take you between 25 and 30 energy to earn all five stars. If you started with full energy, this shouldn’t be a problem.

When you complete this class, you’ll get some Lady’s Mantle from Professor Sprout, and that’s another ingredient you need for the Beautification Potion.

Your next task involves visiting Hagrid at his hut. Sadly, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can proceed. You can either wait for a bit or spend some gems to speed up the process, it’s up to you.

Once you are able to continue, proceed to the Castle Grounds.

Hagrid will be very happy to see you.

After explaining the situation to him, you’ll get the next task. To complete it, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since only one star is required to pass, this shouldn’t be too difficult.

Do this just like any other story task and you’ll be done quickly and easily.

When you complete this, Hagrid will hand you some fresh Ginger Root.

For the next ingredient, you should attend the Care of Magical Creatures Class and see if Professor Kettleburn has some Fairy Wings.

As you arrive, you’ll notice that some of the students have something to tell you. Tap on the speech bubbles above them to see what they have to say.

The Professor will tell you that you can feel free to take some Fairy Wings once the class is dismissed. Speaking of class, this one requires you to obtain at least one out of five possible stars within three hours.

The only major difference between this and the regular Care of Magical Creatures classes is that you’ll get Empathy points instead of Courage as a reward. Whether this is intentional or not is unclear, but regardless, you should do it just like you’d do a regular class.

When you are done, Merula will approach you and ask about the search for the Cursed Vaults. You have three response options.

The third option requires level nineteen Courage and awards ten attribute points, while the first two are worth five points each. No matter what you select, you’ll find out that Merula is working for Madam Rakepick now.

You’ll then get the task to meet Charlie and gather the remaining ingredients. However, there is a waiting period of three hours before you’re able to continue.

Once the wait is over, head to the Forest Grove to search for Unicorn Hair.

When you arrive, you’ll need to cast Wand-Lighting Charm to illuminate your surroundings. Trace the wand movement on the screen to perform this spell.

Finding the ingredients is a three-hour task with one our of five stars requirement.

Focus on completing all of the high-cost actions whenever they are available in order to save some energy.

After you gather the last ingredient, you’ll receive a task to meet Penny and brew the potion. Once again, you’ll have to wait three hours before moving on.

As soon as you’re able to continue, head to the Artefact Room to meet Penny.

Brewing a Beautification Potion is a three-hour long task which requires earning one out of five possible stars to pass.

It’ll take you somewhere between fifty and fifty-five energy to finish this task. As before, prioritize the actions with the high cost to optimize the energy usage.

When you complete the potion, Penny will present you an interesting theory. According to her, there is a possibility that Jacob doesn’t want to be found. There are three ways to react to this.

Selecting the second option requires a friendship level of six. However, all three choices will award you five attribute points without affecting the story in any significant way. Your next task is to get rid of the Red Cap. Hit the GO and proceed to the Courtyard.

However, just when you’re about to fly off to the Forbidden Forest, you’ll be greeted by Professor Snape. He’ll give you one chance to explain yourself.

Each choice is worth five attribute points, but regardless of what you select, Snape will break the broom, thus preventing you from flying into the Forest.

Shortly after, the chapter will be complete. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

Now that’s a rather interesting turn of events. Without a broom, it’s going to be much harder if not impossible to reach the Forbidden Forest. But what does Snape have in store for you? What punishment did is he planning? And will you be able to find some alternative way to reach the Forest? Find out in the next Chapter of this exciting adventure!
