Chapter 12
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, are you excited for Chapter Twelve of Year Four of our Magical Journey Walkthrough for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery? In the previous chapter, you met Penny and made the list of all the ingredients necessary for the creation of the Beautification Potion. You then went on and gathered everything needed. In the meantime, you helped Tonks with her Herbology test. After that, you had some fun pranking Filch and she even helped you improve your dueling skills. Lastly, Penny and you successfully brewed the Beautification Potion. Everything was going according to plan, but just before you were to fly into the Forbidden Forest, Professor Snape saw you in the Courtyard and he broke the broom that you borrowed from one of your classmates earlier on. This might make things a bit more difficult, so you’ll have to find a way to repair the broom in order to proceed with the plan.
For now, you can start things off with the lessons part of the chapter. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Charms Classroom.

To unlock the Diffindo Lesson, you need to earn nine stars from Charms Class. As usual, there are several ways of doing this, so pick the combination of classes that suits your playstyle the most.

As for the classes, follow the usual pattern – tap on the glowing objects to complete actions. Each of those will fill up the star meter and you’ll eventually earn stars.

Every time you earn one, you’ll be given a mini-task. Complete it and you’ll be awarded ten Empathy Points.

When you are done, hit the Collect button to continue.

Once you unlock the lesson, head back to the classroom to attend it.

Learning Diffindo is a three-hour lesson with a passing requirement of five stars. Because of this, it is somewhat recommended having full energy before starting.

You can follow the same steps you did in the classes you took while unlocking the lesson and you’ll finish it without a problem.

As soon as you obtain all the stars, you’ll be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to cast the Severing Charm.

Congratulations! You’ve just learned a powerful spell that you can use in duels. It is usable in Sneaky Stance and it causes 6 points of damage initially, which can be increased by having a high Knowledge Attribute. It also has a chance to cause the opponent to bleed for eight rounds, taking 3 points of damage at the start of each round.

For the second lesson of the chapter, proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom.

Unlocking Serpensortia Lesson requires obtaining nine stars from Transfiguration Class in total. Like before, pick the combination of classes that suits you best and hit the Start button to begin.

When doing these, try to put the priority on the actions with the high-cost in order to save some energy.

And completing the mini-tasks is highly recommended to maximize the number of attribute points gained.

When you are done, the Serpensortia Lesson will be unlocked.

Once you are ready, head back to the classroom.

Learning Serpensortia requires you to earn five stars within three hours. Since all of those are needed to pass, having full energy prior to start is highly recommended.

Approach this lesson in a similar manner to the classes you took earlier and you’ll be done in no time.

When you obtain the fifth star, you’ll need to cast the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to cast Serpensortia.

Now that both of the lessons have been dealt with, you can continue the story. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Potions Classroom.

As you arrive, you’ll notice that some of the students have speech bubbles above them. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say.

After that, Snape will tell you that Rakepick has been monitoring you ever since she came to Hogwarts. However, you will have to discuss the details after the class is over.

This one requires you to earn five stars within an hour with one being needed to pass. Since it behaves like a regular Potions Class, you’ll be able to gain rewards after earning each star. Because of this, it is highly recommended to have full energy before starting.

On average, you’ll need to spend between 25 and 30 energy to get all the stars which should easily be doable with a single energy bar.

Like with all the classes, try completing all of the mini-tasks to gain some additional attribute points.

Once the class is over, Snape will explain his theory to you. He believes that Rakepick wants to seize control of Hogwarts and he needs your help to investigate her. You can respond in two ways.

It is recommended to accept his proposal since both options basically lead to the same outcome, so while you’re at it, you might as well earn some extra attribute points. Later on, you’ll be rewarded with some House Points if you chose this option. For the next task, you should proceed to the Great Hall to spy on Madam Rakepick.

Once you’re there, you’ll be able to interact with several characters and see what they have to say.

After that, you’ll join Ben at the table and explain the situation to him. He’ll agree to help you, but he will want to know what should you two be talking about while eavesdropping on Madam Rakepick. You can select one out of three options.

Since all of the options are awarding the same amount of attribute points and all lead to the same outcome, you can feel free to select the one you like the most. Some of those lead to very funny lines of dialogue, so be sure to check it out. This task requires you to earn at least one out of five stars within three hours.

Do this just like any other story task and you shouldn’t have much trouble with it.

When you finish this, you’ll hear a pretty interesting conversation between Madam Rakepick and Filch.

For the next task, you need to wait three hours or use some gems in case you’re impatient.

When you are able to proceed, head to the Three Broomsticks to meet Hagrid.

Upon arriving, you’ll notice that some of the characters have something to tell you. Tap on their speech-bubbles to check out what they have to say.

Afterward, you’ll explain the situation to Hagrid and tell him the reason you’re here.

He’ll agree to hangout with you while you are spying on Rakepick. This is a three-hour task requiring one out of five possible stars to pass.

Sadly, there aren’t any high-cost actions for this task, so you’ll likely need around 55-60 energy to complete it.

After you finish, you’ll witness an interesting conversation between Madam Rosmerta and Madam Rakepick.

You’ll have to wait three hours before being able to proceed to the next task. If you are impatient, you can always use some gems to speed things up.

In any case, once you’re able to continue, head to the Hospital Wing.

After talking to Madam Pomfrey, you’ll receive the next task. It involves spying to Rakepick while tending to patients. You have three hours to obtain at least one out of five stars in order to pass.

Whenever you can, do the high-cost actions to optimize the energy usage.

Shortly after you’re done, Madam Rakepick will notice that you’ve been spying on her. She’ll then ask you if you’re satisfied with what you’ve learned. You have three response options.

Each of the options will award you five attribute points, but there isn’t much of a difference in the outcome. Your next task is to report back to Professor Snape. However, there is a three-hour waiting period before you can continue.

Once the waiting time is over, hit the GO button and proceed to the Potions Classroom.

As you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of your classmates and see some funny remarks.

Once again, you’ll have to wait until the class is over before being able to talk to the Professor.

This class lasts three hours and during that time you need to obtain at least one star in order to pass. There are a total of five stars available, each one with a reward and a mini-task.

Do this just like any other Potions Class and you shouldn’t encounter any problem.

After dismissing the class, Professor Snape will warn you never to mention anything related to Rakepick around other students. He thinks that at least one of the Slytherin students is working for her.

If you agreed to help Snape earlier on, you’ll be awarded twenty House Points.

He’ll also give you a bottle of Garrotting Gas. It could save your life in some dangerous situations.

Shortly after the chapter will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

This was an interesting turn of events. Apparently, Madam Rakepick has been watching you all the time. You should definitely be cautious near her. At least, you got the broom back and now you can proceed with the plan. But will it work? Will the Beautification Potion have an effect on the Red Cap? Find out in the next Chapter of this thrilling adventure!
Thank you for reading and see you soon.
