Walkthrough

As usual, it is recommended to do the lessons first, so you can proceed to the Potions classroom when you are ready.

Unlocking the Befuddlement Draught lesson requires you to earn a total of nine stars from the Potions classes. Pick the class duration suitable to your liking and hit the Start button to begin.

While doing these classes, focus on the bonus progress actions to save energy.

And completing all of the mini-tasks is just as important in order to get some additional Knowledge points.

Follow the same steps you took while doing the classes, and you won’t have any trouble completing the lesson.

When you obtain the fifth star, you’ll need to wave your wand over the cauldron to finish the potion.

Prioritize doing actions with bonus progress whenever you see them available. This should save you some energy.

Also, focus on successfully completing the mini-tasks to earn some additional Courage points.

When you have all of the stars needed, return to the training grounds to attend the lesson.

To learn the Starfish and Stick flying maneuver, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. Since all of the stars are needed to pass, you should consider having full energy before starting the lesson.

This lesson plays out similarly to the classes, so you can treat it as such.

The only noticeable differences are the mini-tasks. In one, you’ll be asked about the usage of Starfish and Stick.

And lastly, after you earn a fifth star, you’ll need to perform this maneuver. Trace the path on the screen to do so.

Hagrid will be delighted to see that you’ve returned his dog unharmed.

After talking for a bit, he will want to hear the whole story. This is an hour-long task with a passing requirement of one out of five stars.

When you are done, Hagrid will ask if you found anything else while you were looking for Scabbers. You have three options to choose from.

Whether or not you want to show the mysterious parchment to him is up to you. This choice won’t significantly affect the story, so feel free to go with the option you prefer.

Now that Fang is safely back in Hagrid’s care, it’s time to return Scabbers to his owner. Proceed to the library when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your friends. Percy will be grateful for returning his rat to him.

You’ll then ask if he ever noticed anything odd about his pet. This will lead to some funny lines of dialogue.

And eventually, you’ll get the task to discuss Scabbers with your friends. To complete it, you need to earn five stars within three hours. One star is required to pass.

Next, you’ll need to meet Ben in the Great Hall. It seems that he has something important to share with you.

When you get there, you’ll be able to check out what some of the characters have to say. Simply tap on the speech bubbles above them to do so.

It looks like Ben is genuinely disturbed by Scabbers for some reason. He’ll want to share his concerns with you over a meal.

year 5 chapter 14 1400

This task is fairly similar to Meal With a Friend mini-game. The task window will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the cost of each attempt.

year 5 chapter 14 1410

While doing this task, make sure to pick the answers that will reassure Ben you believe him. But even if you miss some of those, the attribute requirements are fairly low and that alone will make the task much easier.

Below are the questions and answers for this task.

  • You’ll never believe me… – I want to believe you, Ben. (Empathy)
  • I’ve seen some strange things… – I’m sure you have… (Knowledge)
  • Scabbers has been following me. – You probably aren’t the only one. (Knowledge)
  • I think people are watching me… – Don’t worry about other people. (Courage)
  • My memory is getting worse… – It will probably come back. (Empathy)
  • You’re the only one who listens… – You’ve helped me a lot. (Courage)

After you are done, Ben will tell you he suspects that Scabbers is the one responsible for his memory loss.

He’ll then ask if you think he’s mad. You have three response options. If you care about Ben and consider him your friend, you should pick the first or the second option.

Shortly after that, you’ll receive the next task. Sadly, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can continue.

year 5 chapter 14 1480

Proceed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom once the waiting time is over.

When you arrive, you can check out what some of your classmates have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

Madam Rakepick will be curious to know if you managed to find the vault portrait. You’ll tell her that the search for it didn’t bear any significant results, but you’ll mention the old parchment you’ve found.

However, it will have to wait until the class is over.

Completing the class is a three-hour task with a passing requirement of one star.

year 5 chapter 14 1540

There are bonus progress actions tied to Tulip and Charlie. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

year 5 chapter 14 1550

Once you’re finished, you will explain what happened in detail to Madam Rakepick.

year 5 chapter 14 1590

She’ll ask if you realize why she is hard on you. There are three options to choose from. Each of them will lead to the same outcome, so you can feel free to pick the one you prefer.

year 5 chapter 14 1600

You’ll then show her the parchment you found in the Cursed Corridor. After examining it for a bit, she’ll reveal to you what it really is – the Marauder’s Map.

year 5 chapter 14 1620

Shortly after that, Chapter 14 of Year 5 will end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience points.

That was a rather surprising turn of events. The fact that the old parchment ended up being the very thing you were looking for all along is a nice surprise. But will Madam Rakepick show you how to use it? There is definitely something she isn’t telling you. Is she going to reveal those secrets to you? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!

Thank you for reading. Until next time.
