In the previous chapter, you pranked several different people in order to appease Peeves. However, despite all your efforts, he didn’t give you the vault portrait. Walkthrough
Unlocking the Pack Charm lesson requires you to earn a total of nine stars from Charms classes. Pick the class duration you prefer and hit the Start button to begin.
As usual, focus on the bonus progress actions in order to save some energy.
And try to do all of the mini-tasks successfully to gain extra Empathy points.
Once you obtain all nine stars, head back to the classroom to attend the lesson.
Learning to cast the Pack Charm requires earning five stars within three hours. All of the stars are needed to pass, so it is recommended to avoid starting the lesson with an empty energy bar.
Follow the same steps you took during the previous classes and you’ll be done quickly and easily.
Once you earn the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.
When you are done, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
You’ll earn an additional reward for completing the lesson. You can collect it in the Charms section of your Hogwarts Record.
For the second lesson, proceed to the Herbology classroom.
To unlock the Chinese Chomping Cabbage lesson you need to acquire nine stars from Herbology classes. Like before, pick the class duration suitable to your playstyle and hit Start to begin.
Similar to the Charms, these classes are fairly generous with bonuns progress actions, which should save you some energy.
Also, try your best to do all the mini-tasks successfully to gain some additional Empathy points.
When you obtain all nine stars, head back to the Herbology classroom.
To complete the Chinese Chomping Cabbage lesson, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so it is recommended to have full energy before starting.
Do this in a similar manner to any of the other classes and you shouldn’t encounter any problems.
Once you obtain all five stars, you’ll be tasked with fertilizing your plant.
Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
You’ll earn an additional reward for completing the lesson. You can claim it in the Herbology section of your Hogwarts Record.
Now that the lessons are out of the way, you can proceed to the Artefact Room to meet with Penny.
Penny will be curious to know why you need the Wit-Sharpening Potion. You’ll quickly explain it to her before you start brewing the potion.
Doing this requires earning at least one out of five stars within an hour.
There is a bonus progress action tied to the vials. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.
Once you are done, Penny will ask what you are going to use the potions for. You have two options to respond with. There are some minor dialogue differences, but other than that, this choice won’t significantly impact the story.
Shortly after, you’ll get the task to meet three of your mischievous friends at the Hog’s Head Inn. Proceed there when you are ready. As you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters.
You’ll quickly explain why you asked them to meet you and why you are preparing a mischief masterpiece for Peeves.
Your friends will mention some of your recent mischievous activities. If you completed Grand Pranksters adventure, it will be referenced here.
Sadly, that alone won’t be enough to get the Vault Portrait from Peeves, so you’ll need to come up with a plan. You will ask your friends if they can help you to come up with some ideas.
Luckily, you got some Wit-Sharpening Potions that will help you brainstorm one. To complete this task, you’ll need to earn one out of five stars within three hours.
There are actions with bonus progress tied to Tonks and Jae. Focus on those if you are looking to save energy.
Once you are done, you’ll get a nice idea from Tonks.
Luckily, you know just the person that can help you with inventing a spell. Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard to meet Badeea.
When you arrive, you can check out what some of your friends have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.
Upon greeting Badeea, she’ll ask if you’ve come to watch her paint. If you like Badeea, it is recommended to pick the first option.
After talking for a while, she’ll tell you that she’s trying to invent a Star Shower Spell, which is pretty much an ideal spell for creating grand mischief.
Sadly, she’s having some hardship with this one. Her spell can only make the stars twinkle.
You’ll then get to discuss this with her and try to figure out why the spell isn’t working. To do that, you need to obtain at least one out of five stars within three hours.
Despite only needing one star to pass, it is recommended to fully complete this task since there is a waiting period afterward. There are two bonus progress actions linked to the painting. Prioritize them to save energy.
Once you are done, you’ll decide to investigate the matter further while Badeea continues painting. She will suggest that you start with the Restricted Section of the Library.
As mentioned before, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can proceed to the next task.
Once you are able to continue, head to the Library to meet Rowan.
When you get there, you’ll witness a funny scene involving your friend and Madam Pince.
Shortly after, she will run off and the two of you will be free to check the Restricted Section.
Once you get in there, Rowan will ask why it is necessary to search the Restricted Section. You have two options to respond with. Both will lead to the same outcome but with some minor dialogue differences.
You’ll then get to research spell creation. To complete this task, you need to earn at least one out of five stars within eight hours.
Thankfully, there are quite a few bonus progress actions available here, which should make things easier.
Sadly, when you are done, you’ll realize there is nothing in the Restricted Section that could help you.
In other words, you’ll have to look elsewhere. You” decide to visit Professor Flitwick. Proceed to the Charms classroom when you are ready.
Upon arriving, Bill will tell you that Madam Rakepick is getting impatient and wants to know if you’ve made any progress with the vault portrait. There are three options to choose from. There is no immediate impact on the story, but it is somewhat recommended to pick the first option.
Shortly after that, Professor Flitwick will arrive and greet both of you. After explaining the situation to him, he’ll be more than willing to help you.
Practicing casting spells is a task that requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.
There is a bonus progress action linked to Bill. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.
Sadly, you won’t be able to figure out why the spell isn’t working. Luckily, Bill will give you a useful piece of advice.
For the next task, proceed to the Potions classroom to meet Merula.
She will be slightly annoyed that you invited her and will want to know the reason for it. You have three options to respond with. If you fancy Merula or consider her your friend, it is recommended to pick the third option. Otherwise, feel free to choose whichever other option you prefer.
Shortly after, Professor Snape will arrive and he’ll be curious to know why you are in his classroom. He’ll even ask Merula if you are disturbing her.
Thankfully, she won’t get you in trouble. In fact, she’ll tell him the reason why you need his help.
Snape will ask why you are seeking his aid regarding the spell inventions. You can choose to answer yourself or let Merula do the talking. There will be some dialogue differences, but the overall outcome won’t be affected.
After talking for a while, Snape will agree to tell you more about spell invention. This task requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.
There are bonus porgress actions tied to Snape and Merula. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.
Once you are done, Snape will explain what’s wrong with the spell.
You’ll thank him before leaving the classroom.
You’ll have to wait three hours before you can meet with Badeea and discuss the spell. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait, and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Once the waiting time is over, head to the Training Grounds to meet Badeea.
Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those if you are curious to find out what they have to say to you.
Charlie will confront you about the prank you pulled on him in the previous chapter.
However, after he hears your apology, he’ll be willing to forgive you.
You’ll then tell Badeea that you need to come up with a new incantation for the Star Shower Spell.
You’ll invite Badee to practice the Star Shower Spell together and meanwhile, you will explain.
This exactly is your next task. To complete it, you need to obtain five stars within eight hours. Passing, on the other hand, only requires one star.
There are quite a few bonus progress actions available here, so make sure to do them whenever they’re available in order to save some energy.
Once you’re done, you’ll call Charlie and ask him to tell you more about his showers. This request will definitely sound weird to both him and Badeea.
However, once he tells you about it, you’ll get a good replacement word for the incantation.
After a couple of failed attempts, Badeea will come up with a correct incantation.
After trying it out, the stars on the painting will start raining down.
You’ll praise Badeea for her brilliant incantation.
Not long after that, Chapter 23 of Year 5 will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience Points.
Now you have a perfect spell for creating a mischief masterpiece. But what will happen once you cast it on Hogwarts? Will it be good enough to please Peeves? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
