Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Six of Year Five of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you finished the preparations for the mischievous masterpiece. Now that everything is ready, it’s time to finally put the things into motion and see if the chaotic spectacle will be enough to please Peeves.
But first, let’s get the lessons out of the way. Head to the Herbology classroom when you are ready.
Unlocking Gillyweed lesson requires earning a total of nine stars from Herbology classes. Select the ones that suit your playstyle and hit the Start to begin.
As always, focus on 5 cost action to save some energy and earn the stars faster.
Also, try to complete as many of the mini-tasks as possible to earn some additional Empathy points.
Once you earn all nine stars, return to the classroom to attend the lesson.
To complete the Gillyweed lesson, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. Avoid starting this with an empty energy bar since all five stars are needed to pass.
There aren’t many differences between this lesson and regular classes, so treat it as such and you should be fine.
Upon earning the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with fertilizing your plant. This is a fairly simple tracing task, which shouldn’t be hard to complete.
For your second lesson, proceed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.
To unlock the Densaugeo Lesson, you need to acquire nine stars from Defence Against the Dark Arts classes. Pick the classes suitable to your liking and hit the Start to begin.
In general, there are plenty of 5 cost actions available here, so be sure to prioritize them to save some energy.
However, some of the mini-tasks during these classes can be quite tricky, so be careful while doing those.
Head back to the classroom once you acquire all nine stars.
Learning Densaugeo hex requires obtaining five stars within three hours. Since all of the stars are needed to pass, it is recommended to avoid starting it if you are low on energy.
Follow the same steps you did while doing the previous classes and you should be fine.
Upon earning the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with demonstrating the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.
Now that you’ve completed the lessons, you are free to continue the story. Head to the Prefects’ Bathroom when you are ready.
According to Duncan, Peeves is still upset, so you’ll have to say some nice things in order for him to show up.
To do that, you need to earn at least one out of five possible stars within three hours.
Some of the character lines are quite funny, so be sure to check them out while completing actions.
Once you are done, Peeves will show up, quite pleased with all the nice things you said about him.
He’ll ask you which part of the chaotic spectacle will impress him the most. You have three options to choose from. None of those will affect the outcome, so feel free to pick whichever one you prefer.
In any case, proceed to the Great Hall to meet your Tulip, Tonks, and Jae.
When you get there, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.
You’ll find three of your mischievous friends near the high table with a box full of jinxed ever-bashing boomerangs.
Each of you will pick a boomerang and prepare for the upcoming chaos.
Needless to say, most of the students will be caught off-guard by this.
However, something’s not right. The boomerangs aren’t returning. Instead, they are flying all over the place.
The only thing you can do now is dodging the boomerangs. This task requires earning at least one out of five possible stars within eight hours to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions.
Once you are done, all of the students will run out of Great Hall.
Apparently, Peeves is pretty pleased with the outcome of this prank.
You’ll then need to cast the Freezing Charm to prevent one of the students from getting ever-bashed.
For the next part of this chaotic spectacle, proceed to the Training Grounds.
Once you arrive, you can interact with some of your friends before continuing.
It seems that Liz managed to successfully lure troll to the Training Grounds.
Thankfully, the friend you chose in the previous chapter will arrive just in time to help you subdue the troll.
Peeves will be thrilled once he realizes you’re about to duel a troll.
The task window will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the gold cost of each attempt.
This duel is quite unique in a sense. Your friend will stand alongside you and mimic your every move. Whichever spell you decide to cast, your friend will cast as well, which will make things much more interesting. This won’t affect the gameplay, so it will play out pretty much the same as any other duel, but it is a nice touch of immersion, regardless. As for the duel itself, the troll can be quite unpredictable, but your attribute levels should be much higher than recommended values, which will make things a bit easier.
Once you manage to defeat him, the two of you will strike him once more and knock him off his feet.
It looks like the poltergeist is quite pleased by your performance.
Hagrid will then arrive, looking quite disappointed by your actions.
The choice you made in the previous chapter will be referenced here, but it won’t significantly affect the outcome.
You will have three options to respond with. These won’t change the story, but if you care about Hagrid, you might want to consider apologizing to him.
He’ll tell you to go before Dumbledore finds out about this.
Your friend will stay to help Hagrid while you proceed to perform the final part of the chaotic spectacle.
Head to the Clocktower Courtyard to meet Badeea when you are ready.
When you arrive, you can interact with some of your friends before you continue with the story.
It looks like Peeves is quite impatient to see the final part of your mischievous masterpiece.
Better not keep him waiting. Casting a Star Shower spell requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.
On average, you’ll need around 60 energy to complete this task, which should equal to one and a half energy bar.
Once you are done, Badeea and you will cast the spell together.
The spell will work, and the stars will start raining on the painting.
But that’s not all, shortly after, the stars will start falling all over the courtyard.
However, the effects are way more chaotic than you expected.
Badeea will ask you what to do about it. You have three options to choose from. The following scene will be quite different depending on this choice, but the outcome of the quest will remain the same, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer. Perhaps the most interesting one would be to use Fizzing Whizzbees.
Amazed by the spectacle you performed for him, Peeves will agree to give you the vault portrait.
There is a waiting period of five hours before you can proceed.
Once the waiting time is over, head to the poltergeist’s room. It’s located in the East Towers.
This is the first time you’ll find yourself inside Peeves’ room.
The state of his room is complete chaos.
Peeves will be slightly offended by your comment. You have two options to reply to this. Both will lead to the same outcome, so pick the one you prefer.
Regardless of this choice, you’ll need to search the room in order to find the vault portrait. Doing this is a three-hour task with a passing requirement of one out of five stars.
You can fully complete this task with about 60 energy, which should be easily doable within the time limit, as long as you didn’t start with an empty energy bar.
Once you’re done, Peeves will present the vault portrait to you.
Now is the time for your detention. Head to the Kitchens when you are ready.
Upon arriving, you can interact with some of the House-Elves before proceeding to meet Jae.
He’ll suggest talking about the portrait as you make sandwiches.
Brainstorming with Jae requires earning one out of five stars within three hours to pass.
Like before, you’ll need approximately 60 energy to fully complete this task.
Once you finish making sandwiches, you’ll thank Jae for helping you earlier, without realizing that the caretaker is standing right behind you.
He’ll be quite suspicious and he’ll ask if you are responsible for unleashing Jinxed Ever-Bashing Boomerangs in the Great Hall. You have three options to respond with. While these won’t have immediate consequences, you might want to avoid telling him the truth, so picking the second or the third option is highly recommended.
Pitts will arrive just in the nick of time to save you from the caretaker.
Mr. Filch and Mrs. Norris will then leave the Kitchens.
Apparently, Pitts has a soft spot for you. Especially given the fact you did some extra work earlier.
And not only that, it seems that he is quite aware you’re planning to break the curse and free Beatrice.
He’ll also tell you the good news. As of now, you’re officially done with detention.
Shortly after that, the chapter will end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
Now that you’re finally done with detention, you can focus entirely on locating the cursed vault and breaking its curse. What will Madam Rakepick have to say about the portrait? Does she know how to use it to locate the vault? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery!
