Walkthrough
But, before you say goodbye to him, you should say goodbye to Year 5 lessons, so head to the Training Ground when you are ready.
To unlock the Switching Brooms lesson, you need to obtain nine stars from Flying classes. Select the class duration suitable to your liking and hit the Start button to begin.
Unlike some other ones, the Flying classes don’t feature that many bonus progress actions. However, keep an eye out and be sure to do the ones that appear every now and then.
Other than that, try to complete all of the mini-tasks successfully to gain some extra Courage points.
Once you unlock the lesson, return to the Training Grounds to attend it.
Like many of the other Flying lessons, Switching Brooms also requires earning five stars within eight hours.
Aside from the passing requirements, this one is quite similar to most of the other flying classes.
During the lessons, Madam Hooch will ask you a question about switching brooms in midair.
Once you earn the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with demonstrating Switching Brooms. Trace the path on the screen to do so.
Finishing this lesson will permanently increase your energy limit by 1, which will definitely prove useful during your future curse-breaking adventures.
You’ll earn an additional reward for completing the lesson. Collect it in the Flying section of your Hogwarts Record.
For the second lesson of the chapter, proceed to the Care of Magical Creatures.
Unlocking the Chimaera lesson requires earning nine stars from the Care of Magical Creatures classes. Like before, pick the class duration that suits you and hit Start to begin.
In general, actions with bonus progress are plentiful here, which should make it easier to complete these classes.
Also, focus on completing most of the mini-tasks to earn some bonus Courage points.
After earning a total of nine stars, return to the Care of Magical Creatures to attend the lesson.
To complete the Chimaera lesson, you need to obtain five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
Professor Kettleburn will be very excited about the lesson. After all, his Chimaera was missing for a whole year.
Treat this lesson just like the classes you took previously, and you’ll be done in no time.
When you earn the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with feeding this dangerous creature. Trace the path on the screen to do so.
Congratulations! You’re now officially done with all of the Year 5 lessons! Hooray!!!
Now you can focus on the story part of the chapter. Head to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom when you are ready.
Charlie will tell you that Bill is feeling pretty down lately. You’ll take a look at Bill and notice that he’s right about that.
After talking for a bit, you’ll suggest throwing Bill a surprise farewell party to cheer him up.
Charlie will love the idea. Basically, he’ll gather everyone at The Three Broomsticks while you keep Bill busy.
Once Charlie leaves the classroom, you’ll approach Bill. Apparently, he’s still very upset about Rakepick’s betrayal.
He’ll ask how you feel about him leaving Hogwarts. You have three options to choose from. While this choice won’t significantly affect the story, if you care about Bill, it is recommended to select the second option.
Shortly after, you’ll get to talk about Bill’s future. This requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.
Other than the one tied to your character, there aren’t that many bonus progress actions available here.
Once you’re done, you’ll realize that Bill is soon to become a curse breaker. He’ll suggest going to The Three Broomsticks to talk about his future job.
You will strongly oppose this, especially since Charlie is probably not yet done gathering everyone, so you’ll propose something else.
Bill will find it odd that you don’t want to go to the Three Broomsticks. You’ll quickly come up with an excuse and say that you want to go shopping first.
Sadly, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can continue. Since you’ll likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Once the waiting time is over, go to Flourish and Blotts to continue the story.
Upon arriving, you’ll notice some familiar faces inside the bookstore. You can interact with them by tapping on their speech bubbles.
Bill will find it odd that you want to shop for textbooks, but you’ll quickly tell him you’re planning something else.
Searching for books requires earning five stars within an hour. One star is needed to pass.
Bear in mind that you can slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is a bonus progress action tied to Bill.
Once you’re done, Madam Villanelle will ask if you’re looking for books or your brother. This choice will have some impact on the following dialogue, but like before, if you care about Bill, it is recommended to go with the first option.
Regardless of your choice, Madam Villanelle will tell you that she’ll send an owl to you if she sees Jacob again.
Bill will notice that you’re still upset about what happened in the Portrait Vault.
This will make him feel sad again, so he’ll once again suggest going to The Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer.
You’ll quickly come up with an idea to distract him for a while longer until everything is ready for his surprise party.
But before that, there is a waiting period of four hours. Like before, it is recommended to simply wait for this timer to run out.
Head to the Training Grounds once the waiting time is over.
Bill will find it odd that you wanted to visit the Training Grounds all of a sudden. You’ll quickly explain why.
Shortly after, you’ll suggest dueling one last time before he graduates. He’ll agree, and he’ll even add some challenge to it.
The task window will display the recommended attribute levels and the cost of the duel.
The attribute requirements for this duel are ridiculously low. This will make it much easier to defeat Bill.
After defeating him, Bill will ask if he’s your favorite Weasley brother. You have three options to reply with. It is recommended to pick the first choice if you care about Bill.
He’ll then tell you a secret – he knew about the surprise party all along.
This explains why he suggested going to The Three Broomsticks on more than one occasion.
He’ll tell you that his parents aren’t aware of his recent curse-breaking adventures, and he’ll ask you to keep it secret from them.
Now, all that’s left is attending Bill’s party. But before that, there is a waiting period of five hours.
Proceed to The Three Broomsticks once the waiting time is over.
Upon entering, you’ll notice most of your classmates, as well as some members of the Weasley family. You can interact with some of them by tapping on their speech bubbles.
Everyone will yell SURPRISE simultaneously, which will really be a sight to look at.
Bill will try to act surprised, but sadly, he isn’t too good of an actor.
He will thank everyone for coming to his farewell party.
Sadly, not all of the Weasleys will be present. Four of the youngest ones decided to visit Zonko’s joke shop with Aunt Muriel.
Shortly after, you’ll get to celebrate Bill’s party with your friends. To do so, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Only one star is required to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Merula, Arthur, Badeea, Liz, and Barnaby. Prioritize those actions to save energy.
Shortly after you’re done, you’ll go to grab another round of butterbeer for the Weasleys.
On your way, you’ll be intercepted by a mysterious person appearing out of nowhere. The one in question is none other than Alastor Moody, also known as Mad-Eye Moody.
He’ll grab your hand and use Apparition to take you somewhere. This will leave everyone in shock.
Hours later, the only ones left in The Three Broomsticks will be Rowan and Madam Rosmerta.
Rowan will be very worried about you.
This is when you’ll come back. Your friend will be surprised to see you return.
You’ll tell Rowan that you’ve been sworn to secrecy just before Chapter 33 of Year 5 comes to an end.
Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience points.
This leaves so many unanswered questions. What did Mad-Eye Moody show you while you were away? And why did you swear to secrecy? Find out in the continuation of this exciting adventure!
Thank you for reading.
