Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Thirty-Three of Year Five of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you helped Ben find Madam Rakepick’s Niffler, Sickleworth. You learned that Ben is planning to change completely, and he doesn’t want to be scared of everything anymore. Also, Charlie told you that the time has come to finally say goodbye to Bill. His seventh year at Hogwarts is coming to an end, and soon enough he’ll graduate and start his career as a curse breaker for Gringotts Wizarding Bank. But, before you say goodbye to him, you can say goodbye to Year 5 lessons, so head to the Training Ground when you are ready.
To unlock Switching Brooms lesson, you need to obtain nine stars from Flying classes. Select the class duration suitable to your liking and hit the Start to begin.
Unlike some other ones, the Flying classes don’t feature that many 5-cost actions. However, keep an eye out and be sure to do the ones that appear every now and then.
Other than that, try to complete all of the mini-tasks successfully in order to gain some extra Courage points.
Once you unlock the lesson, return to the Training Grounds to attend it.
Like most of the other Flying lessons, Switching Brooms also requires earning five stars within eight hours to pass.
Aside from the passing requirement, this one is quite similar to most of the other flying classes.
Once you earn the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with demonstrating Switching Brooms. Trace the path on the screen to do so.
Finishing this lesson will permanently increase your energy limit by 1, which will definitely prove useful during your future curse-breaking adventures.
For the second lesson of the chapter, proceed to Care of Magical Creatures.
Unlocking Chimaera lesson requires earning nine stars from Care of Magical Creatures classes. Like before, pick the class duration that suits you and hit the Start to begin.
In general, 5-cost actions are plentiful here, which should make it easier to complete these classes.
Also, focus on completing most of the mini-tasks to earn some bonus Courage points.
After earning a total of nine stars, return to Care of Magical Creatures to attend the lesson.
To complete the Chimaera lesson, you need to obtain five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
Professor Kettleburn will be very excited about today’s lesson. After all, his Chimaera was missing for a whole year.
Be sure to check the character lines after completing actions since some of those are hilarious.
When you earn the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with feeding this dangerous creature. Trace the path on the screen to do so.
Congratulations! You’re now officially done with all of the Year 5 lessons! Hooray!!!
Now you can focus on the story part of the chapter. Head to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom when you are ready.
Charlie will point out that Bill is feeling pretty down lately.
After talking for a bit, you’ll suggest throwing Bill a surprise farewell party to cheer him up.
Charlie will love the idea. Basically, he’ll gather everyone at The Three Broomsticks while you keep Bill busy.
Once Charlie leaves the classroom, you’ll approach Bill. Apparently, he’s still very upset about Rakepick’s betrayal.
He’ll then ask how you feel about him leaving Hogwarts. You have three options to choose from. While this choice won’t change the outcome of the story, if you care about Bill, it is somewhat recommended to select the second option.
Shortly after, you’ll get to talk about Bill’s future. This requires earning at least one out of five possible stars within three hours to pass.
Other than the one tied to your character, there aren’t that many 5-cost actions available here, which is why it’ll take around 60 energy to fully complete this task.
Once you’re done, you’ll realize that Bill is soon to become a curse breaker.
He’ll suggest going to The Three Broomsticks to talk about his future job.
You will strongly oppose this, especially since Charlie is probably not yet done gathering everyone, so you’ll propose something else.
Sadly, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can continue. It is recommended to let this timer expire, but if you are very eager to see how the story goes, you can use some gems to speed things up.
Either way, once the waiting time is over, proceed to Flourish and Blotts to continue the story.
Upon arriving, you’ll notice some familiar faces inside the bookstore. You can interact with them simply by tapping on their speech bubbles.
Bill will find it odd that you want to shop for textbooks now, but you’ll quickly tell him you’re planning something else.
Searching for books requires earning five stars within an hour. The passing requirement is one star. Under normal circumstances, it would be recommended to simply earn one star and let the timer expire, but since there’s a waiting period before the next task, it is highly recommended to fully complete this one in order to trigger the waiting timer as soon as possible.
Bear in mind that you can slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions.
Once you’re done, Madam Villanelle will ask if you’re here to look for books or your brother. This choice will have some influence on the following dialogue, but like before, if you care about Bill, it is recommended to go with the first option.
Regardless of your choice, Madam Villanelle will tell you that she’ll send an owl to you if she sees Jacob again.
Bill will notice that you’re still upset about what happened in the Portrait Vault.
Which will make him feel sad again, so he’ll once again suggest going to The Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer.
You’ll quickly come up with an idea to distract him for a while longer until everything is ready for his surprise party.
But before that, there is a waiting period of four hours before you’re able to proceed. Like before, it is recommended to simply wait for this timer to run out.
Head to the Training Grounds once you are able to continue.
Bill will find it odd that you wanted to visit the Training Grounds all of a sudden.
You’ll quickly explain why.
Shortly after, you’ll suggest dueling one last time before he graduates.
He’ll agree, but he’ll add some challenge to it.
The task window will display the recommended attribute levels and the gold cost of each attempt.
The attribute requirements for this duel are ridiculously low. This will make it much easier to defeat Bill. Even if you get an unlucky losing streak, you can easily heal up most of the damage with just a single Wiggenweld Potion.
After defeating him, Bill will ask if he’s your favorite Weasley brother. You have three options to reply with. Bear in mind that these won’t affect the outcome of the chapter, but it is recommended to pick the first choice if you care about Bill.
He’ll then tell you a secret – he knew about the surprise party all along.
Which explains why he suggested going to The Three Broomsticks on more than one occasion.
He’ll tell you that his parents aren’t aware of his recent curse-breaking adventures, and he’ll ask you to keep it secret from them.
Now all that’s left is attending Bill’s party. But before that, there is another waiting period of five hours.
Once you’re able to continue, proceed to The Three Broomsticks.
Upon entering, you’ll notice that pretty much all of your classmates are here, as well as some members of the Weasley family. You can interact with some of them before continuing.
Everyone will yell SURPRISE simultaneously, which will really be a sight to look at.
Bill will try to be surprised, but sadly, he isn’t too good of an actor.
He will then thank everyone for coming to his farewell party.
Sadly, not all of the Weasleys are here. Four of the youngest one decided to check out Zonko’s joke shop.
Not long after that, you’ll get to celebrate Bill’s party with your friends. To do so, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Only one star is required to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions.
Shortly after you’re done, you’ll go to grab another round of butterbeer for the Weasleys.
On your way, you’ll be intercepted by a mysterious figure appearing out of nowhere.
The one in question is none other than Alastor Moody, also known as Mad-Eye Moody.
He’ll grab your hand and use Apparition to take you somewhere. This will leave everyone in shock.
Hours later, the only ones left in The Three Broomsticks will be Rowan and Madam Rosmerta.
It seems that Rowan is very worried about you.
This is when you’ll come back. Your friend will be very surprised to see you return.
You’ll tell him that you’ve been sworn to secrecy just before Chapter 33 comes to an end.
Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
This leaves us with so many unanswered questions. What did Mad-Eye Moody show you while you were away? And why did you swear to secrecy? Find out in the continuation of this exciting adventure!
Thank you for reading.
