Chapter 6 – The ghosts of Hogwarts

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Six of Year Five of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous chapter, you found Penny next to her sister’s portrait, feeling devastated about everything that’s happened.

You wanted to help her, and after talking for a while, she told you that there is a potion that could be useful for her situation. You two then went to several different places and searched for various ingredients needed for the making of said potion.

In the end, she successfully managed to brew it, and you were able to choose whether she should drink it or not. She then told you that she knows of someone who might be able to help you with your search for the cursed vaults.

Now, you can start the chapter by doing the lessons part of it first. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Charms classroom for your first lesson of the chapter.

Unlocking the Silencio lesson requires you to obtain a total of nine stars from the Charms classes. You can do this in several different ways, but some of the most popular ones include doing two eight-hour or three three-hour classes. Either way, once you decide how to do it, hit the Start button to begin.

As for the classes, tap on the glowing objects to complete actions and fill up the star meter. Prioritize bonus progress actions to save energy.

This will eventually earn you stars and each time you get one, you’ll be given a mini task. Complete it successfully to earn ten Empathy points.

When you get all nine stars, the lesson will be unlocked. Head back to the classroom once you’re ready to attend it.

To learn the Silencing Charm, you’ll need to acquire five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are required to pass, you want to avoid starting this lesson with an empty energy bar.

This lesson is fairly similar to the classes you had beforehand, so do it just like those and you shouldn’t encounter any problems. During the lesson, Professor Flitwick will ask you about the Silencing Charm.

Once you obtain all five stars, you’ll be tasked with performing the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to cast the Silencing Charm.

Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You can claim an additional reward in the Charms section of your Hogwarts Record.

For your second lesson of the chapter, hit the GO button and proceed to the Care of Magical Creatures.

Unlocking the Fairy lesson requires you to earn nine stars from the Care of Magical Creatures classes. Like before, choose the class combination that suits your playstyle best and hit the Start button to begin.

Whenever you can, try to do actions with bonus progress in order to optimize energy usage.

And like before, complete as many mini-tasks as you can, to gain some additional Courage points.

As soon as you obtain all nine stars, the lesson will be unlocked.

To complete the Fairy lesson, you’ll need to earn five stars within three hours. All of the stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this lesson with an empty energy bar.

Repeat the same steps you did during the previous classes and you’ll be done quickly and easily.

When you complete the lesson, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards and continue.

You’ll also earn an additional reward you can collect in the Care of Magical Creatures section of your Hogwarts Record.

Now that both of the lessons are finished, you can head to the Great Hall to meet Penny and the Fat Friar.

Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the students. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say.

After that, you’ll sit next to Penny and she’ll be very surprised that you’ve never met the Fat Friar. You can respond in three different ways. The third option is only available to Hufflepuff students and if you are one, it is highly recommended to pick that option since it will lead to some rather comical lines of dialogue.

Shortly after, Penny will introduce you to Fat Friar and he’ll be glad he finally got to meet you.

Your next task involves discussing Marauder’s Map. To complete it, you’ll need to earn at least one out of five stars within an hour.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Penny. Prioritize it to save a bit of energy.

Once you’re done, Fat Friar will suggest you talk with Nearly Headless Nick about Marauder’s Map since he is certain Nick knows something about it.

You can respond to this in three ways. All of the options lead to the same outcome, but you will get a different response from each of those, so feel free to pick the one you find the most appropriate for the situation.

For the next task, you should meet Nick and your Gryffindor friends in Jacob’s room. Hit the GO button and proceed there when you are ready.

When you arrive, you’ll notice three Weasley brothers along with Nick. You can interact with them before talking to Gryffindor House Ghost.

After mentioning the Marauder’s Map, Nick will tell you that meeting Bill sparked his memory of your brother. He’ll ask if you know what he is hinting at.

You have three options to respond with. Each of those will lead to the same outcome, but some will have pretty hilarious responses from Nick.

He will then mention that Jacob knew everything about Hogwarts since he had the map.

You’ll decide to search the room and see if you can find any clues. But first, you’ll need to cast the Wand-Lighting Charm to illuminate your surroundings and make the search easier.

This task requires you to earn five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass, which makes it significantly easier to complete the task.

There is a bonus progress action linked to Charlie. Focus on it whenever it is available to save energy.

When you are done, you will find an interesting letter saying that Jacob gave the map to Olivia Green.

Apparently, that student was a Ravenclaw in your brother’s year and Nick will suggest you talk to the Grey Lady. Hit the GO button and proceed to meet her and your Ravenclaw friends in the Corridor.

Once you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with your friends and see what they have to say. Simply tap on their speech bubbles to do so.

Afterward, you’ll approach the Grey Lady, but sadly, she won’t be willing to speak with you.

Your friends will offer to talk to her for you and you’ll be able to choose one of them. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick whichever friend you want.

Shortly after, you’ll receive the task to talk to Grey Lady. You have three hours to complete it and earn at least one of five stars.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to the Grey Lady and Talbott. Prioritize these to save some energy.

You’ll learn that Olivia Green is gone, but one of your brother’s other friends is still around.

The Grey Lady will tell you that the name of that student is Duncan Ashe, and in order to find him, you’ll have to talk to the Bloody Baron. When you are ready, head to the Potions Classroom to meet your Slytherin friends.

Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your classmates. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say.

Merula will offer to talk to Bloody Baron for you. You can accept her offer if you want to. Either way, the outcome is the same, but the approach is quite different.

You’ll then learn that Duncan Ashe is dead. Apparently, he became a ghost after he died.

The Bloody Baron will allow you to ask him some questions about Duncan. You have three hours to complete this task and earn at least one of five stars to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Barnaby. Focus on it if you want to save a bit of energy.

When you are done, you’ll realize that Duncan is often at places where no one usually hangs around.

Out of all the places, the Prefects’ Bathroom is perhaps the most likely location he’s in. Hit the GO button and proceed there to meet Charlie and Bill.

Once you arrive, you’ll have to take a look around and see if you can find Duncan Ashe.

To complete this task, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Charlie, so focus on his actions to save a bit of energy.

Shortly after you complete the task, Duncan will show up.

However, the moment he hears you are Jacob’s sibling, he will get really angry. You have three options to respond to this. All of these will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to pick whichever one you prefer.

Duncan will then leave and you’ll decide to find out what happened in order to make things right. Otherwise, you may never find the Marauder’s Map.

With this, Chapter 6 of Year 5 will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You’ll receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience points.
