Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Ten of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous chapter, you learned that Madam Rakepick is after the Dark artifacts she left in the classroom before she disappeared. After asking around, you learned that Professor Dumbledore gave those artifacts to the Ministry of Magic.

You decided to find a way to break into the Ministry and get those artifacts before Madam Rakepick. Tulip advised you to seek the aid of former Ravenclaw prefect, now Ministry employee, Chester Davies, and see if he’ll be able to help you.

As always, pick the class duration suitable to your liking and hit the Start button to begin.

Other than the passing requirement, this lesson is quite similar to the classes you attended previously.

year 6 chapter 10 1120

Head to the History of Magic classroom for the second lesson of the chapter. To unlock the Witch Trials of 1692, you need to obtain nine stars from the History of Magic classes. Like before, pick whichever class duration is the most suitable for you.

As always, focus on the reward actions to save some energy.

year 6 chapter 10 1150

Knowing the history of Wizarding World will definitely come in handy during most of the mini-tasks here.

year 6 chapter 10 1160

Upon unlocking the lesson, head back to the classroom to attend it. Learning about the Witch Trials of 1692 requires obtaining five stars within eight hours.

year 6 chapter 10 1180

There are some unique mini-task questions tied to this lesson, so try completing all of those for some additional Knowledge points.

year 6 chapter 10 1210

When you are done, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You can claim an additional reward in the History of Magic section of your Hogwarts Record.

year 6 chapter 10 1240

Now that you are done with the lessons, you can proceed to Flourish and Blotts to meet Chester. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your classmates before continuing. Chester will be very happy to see you.

year 6 chapter 10 1270

If you completed the Audition for the Frog Choir adventure, some of your choices will be referenced here.

year 6 chapter 10 1280
year 6 chapter 10 1290

Chester will be amazed at your selflessness for giving your place to Merula. Shortly after, he’ll tell you that he’s well aware of what happened with Madam Rakepick. In fact, pretty much everyone within the Ministry knows about it. You’ll use the opportunity to tell him about your plan.

year 6 chapter 10 1330

Needless to say, Chester will be shocked once he hears this, and you’ll proceed to explain the situation to him. You’ll tell him that Rakepick is close to finding the last Cursed Vault, but before that, she needs her collection of dark artifacts that Dumbledore has kept in the Ministry. You’ll add that you think these artifacts are the perfect opportunity to stop Rakepick from getting her hands on what’s in that vault.

year 6 chapter 10 1380

You’ll then get to talk to Chester about your plan. Doing so requires earning at least one out of five stars within three hours.

year 6 chapter 10 1390

Both Chester and your character have bonus actions tied to them, which should make this task a bit easier to complete.

year 6 chapter 10 1400

When you are done, you’ll learn where Rakepick’s dark artifacts are being stored.

year 6 chapter 10 1410

He’ll say that it would make sense to keep them in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. However, Chester can’t just sneak you in there. After all, he might risk losing his job. You have two options to respond to this. Both will lead to pretty much the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

year 6 chapter 10 1440

While Chester won’t be able to help you directly, he will imply that there might be a way to sneak into the Ministry of Magic.

year 6 chapter 10 1450

Luckily, you know just the guy to help you procure one of those cloaks. Head to the Kitchens when you are ready for the next task. Once you get there, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the House Elves. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say to you. Jae will be very surprised to see you back in the Kitchens. After all, it’s been a while since the last time the two of you scrubbed some pans together.

year 6 chapter 10 1490

When he finds out you came on your own, he’ll want to know if you missed detention. There are three options to respond with. While none of these will significantly impact the story, if you like Jae, it is recommended to go with the third option.

year 6 chapter 10 1500

Then you’ll tell him why you need his assistance, explaining that you require the invisibility cloak and hoping he can provide it. Jae will understand the risky nature of the plan to enter the Ministry of Magic, but kindly he’ll agree to help you.

year 6 chapter 10 1540

He’ll offer to tell you more about Invisibility Cloaks. Talking to Jae requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.

year 6 chapter 10 1560

Since there’s a waiting period after this task, it is recommended to fully complete it. Thankfully, there is a reward action tied to Jae, which will make things a bit easier.

year 6 chapter 10 1570

When you are done, you will learn that Jae knows someone who could sell you an Invisibility Cloak. However, there is a catch.

year 6 chapter 10 1590

Luckily, there might be a way to convince the seller by bringing him some gifts. As it seems, Jae can get one of the gifts from one of his “business partners”.

year 6 chapter 10 1620

There is a waiting period of four hours before you can proceed. It is highly recommended to wait until this timer expires and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

year 6 chapter 10 1630

Once you’re able to continue, go to the Hog’s Head Inn to meet Jae. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters. Jae will explain his plan to you.

year 6 chapter 10 1660

Jae will tell you to be discreet because Aberforth doesn’t want to see Jae doing business here. You will ask him if that article will be enough to convince the seller. Jae will reassure you there is nothing to worry about. The only problem is that Remembrall could be anywhere.

year 6 chapter 10 1700
year 6 chapter 10 1710

Still, this won’t seem to bother Jae at all. After all, he’ll be glad to finally have some time to catch up.

year 6 chapter 10 1730

After everything that happened lately, you didn’t have much time to hang out with Jae, and he’ll be curious if you had forgotten about him. There are three options to respond with. While none of these will influence the story in any significant way, if you like Jae, it is recommended to go with the first or the third option.

year 6 chapter 10 1740

You’ll then inform him about everything that happened recently, which will leave him shocked, to say the least. Moments later, Aberforth will approach and tell Jae he’s not supposed to be doing business inside his place.

year 6 chapter 10 1770

You will quickly jump to the rescue.

year 6 chapter 10 1780
year 6 chapter 10 1790

Jae will suggest sitting down for now.

year 6 chapter 10 1810

Searching for Remembrall requires earning five stars within eight hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

year 6 chapter 10 1820

Both Jae and your character have bonus actions tied to them, which should make things a bit easier.

year 6 chapter 10 1830

Once you are done, you will surprise your friend by showing him the Remembrall.

year 6 chapter 10 1850

As for the second gift, Jae will need something fashionable. Luckily, you know just the person to help you with that. However, he’s a bit busy at the moment, so you’ll have to wait around one hour until he’s done with his Quidditch practice.

year 6 chapter 10 1880

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Great Hall to meet Andre. As you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those to see what they have to say to you. Shortly after greeting each other, Jae will tell Andre what he needs.

year 6 chapter 10 1910
year 6 chapter 10 1920

Still, he’ll need to be a bit more specific about it.

year 6 chapter 10 1930

Sadly, Jae is completely clueless when it comes to fashion. You’ll try to explain the situation to Andre in a bit more detail. Once he hears everything, he will be quite happy to offer his help.

year 6 chapter 10 1950
year 6 chapter 10 1960

Still, Andre will need to know why the seller needs fashionable socks, and Jae will not hesitate to explain it. To discuss the seller, you need to earn at least one out of five stars within an hour.

year 6 chapter 10 1980

There is no waiting period before the next task, so under normal circumstances, it would be recommended to earn a single star and wait for the timer to expire. However, since the next task doesn’t require spending any energy, it is somewhat recommended to fully complete this task. You should easily be able to do so with a single energy bar.

year 6 chapter 10 1990

Once Andre reviews all the facts, he will suggest a suitable gift for the seller.

year 6 chapter 10 2000
year 6 chapter 10 2010

He will even offer to get a pair of those socks for you. The only thing Andre will ask in return is to bring him along. Apparently, he is feeling guilty about bailing on you earlier. You have two options to respond with. If you care about Andre, it is highly recommended to pick the first choice.

year 6 chapter 10 2040

Finally, it is time to approach this mysterious seller and see if he can get you the Invisibility Cloak. Proceed to the Knockturn Alley when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the Knockturn denizens before continuing.

Shortly after, you will be approached by the seller. It seems that this wizard looks awfully familiar. If you complete the Egg Hunt side quest, you will recognize him as the wizard who sold you and Charlie a fake Dragon Egg. This will result in some additional scenes. Jae will tell him you need an Invisibility Cloak.

year 6 chapter 10 2070

Jae will also present the gifts.

year 6 chapter 10 2080

However, Alistair will still be upset about Jae crossing him over, so he’ll decide to get his revenge by attacking your friend.

year 6 chapter 10 2100
year 6 chapter 10 2110

You will quickly step in to defend Jae. Trace the wand movement to cast Avis.

year 6 chapter 10 2120

You will then have to duel Alistair. The task window will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the cost of each attempt.

year 6 chapter 10 2130

This is probably one of the most difficult duels so far. Alistair’s attributes are ridiculously high, which will likely put you at a serious disadvantage. Since Empathy is his lowest attribute (how fitting), it is somewhat recommended to go all-out Aggressive and blast him with Depulso on each turn. With a bit of luck, you should be able to win the duel.

year 6 chapter 10 2140

When you manage to defeat him, Alistair will agree to get you the Invisibility Cloak under one condition. In return, you will have to bring him the Love Potion.

year 6 chapter 10 2170

Sadly, Jae doesn’t have any of those potions. However, according to Andre, Penny should be able to brew one.

This will conclude Chapter 10 of Year 6. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience Points.

Is Penny really able to brew a Love Potion? And more importantly, will she agree to help you? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
