Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twelve of Year Six of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Previously, you convinced Penny to help you brew the Love Potion for Alistair. You then went on and gathered all the necessary ingredients, and finally, Penny successfully managed to brew it. Now, you need to meet up with Alistair and trade the Love Potion for an Invisibility Cloak. However, you should first go and complete the lessons. Head to the Charms classroom when you are ready.
To unlock the Bubble Head Charm lesson, you need to acquire nine stars from Charms classes. As always, pick the class duration suitable to your liking and hit the Start to begin.
In most cases, Charms classes will offer you a decent number of 5-cost actions, which should make things a bit easier.
As for the mini-tasks, focus on completing them all successfully to gain some extra Empathy points.
Return to the classroom once you unlock the lesson.
To learn the Bubble Head Charm, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting the lesson if you are low on energy.
Depending on the actions you take, it will take you somewhere around 60-65 energy to complete this lesson.
When you obtain the fifth star, you will be tasked with casting the Bubble Head Charm.
Head to the Potions classroom for the second lesson of the chapter.
Unlocking the Laughing Potion lesson requires earning nine stars from Potions classes. As before, pick the class duration you prefer and hit Start to begin.
Prioritize completing 5-cost actions whenever you see them available in order to save some energy.
Try completing all of the mini-tasks successfully to gain some additional Knowledge points.
Return to the classroom after collecting enough stars to unlock the lesson.
Learning to brew the Laughing potion requires earning five stars within three hours.
Similar to the previous lesson, this one will also take approximately 60-65 energy to complete.
When you earn all of the stars, you’ll be tasked with waving your wand over the cauldron.
Now that you’ve completed the lessons, you can continue the story. Proceed to the Knockturn Alley when you are ready.
Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the Knockturn denizens before continuing.
Apparently, Alistair is already waiting for you.
You’ll quickly show him the Love Potion.
He’ll be a bit suspicious, but eventually, he’ll agree to make the trade.
Trading for the Cloak requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.
There are 5-cost actions tied to both Andre and the Love Potion. Prioritize these to save some energy.
When you are done, you will finally get the Invisibility Cloak.
Shortly after Alistair leaves, Andre will ask you an interesting question. Feel free to pick any of the answers since none of these will influence the story.
You’ll then remind your friends why you needed the cloak in the first place.
That’s when you’ll realize that Alistair was eavesdropping on you the whole time.
He’ll then give you a useful piece of advice.
Andre will actually agree with Alistair on this.
And it seems like Jae has a perfect practice target for you.
Head to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready.
Not long after you arrive, Jae will tell you his plan.
As it turns out, he is looking to find an easy way to pass the upcoming exam. You can choose to agree to help him or not. This choice won’t affect the story much, but if you like Jae, it is kind of recommended to go with the first option.
Moments later, your friend will warn you that the professors are coming.
You’ll quickly don the Invisibility Cloak just before they enter the classroom.
Apparently, Professors McGonagall and Flitwick didn’t meet up to discuss the upcoming exam.
Eavesdropping on their conversation requires earning at least three out of five stars within three hours.
Both McGonagall and Flitwick have 5-cost actions linked to them, which should make things a bit easier for you.
As it seems, the Headmaster already alerted most of the Hogwarts staff about the Mahoutokoro wizard.
Also, a student from Castelobruxo should be arriving at Hogwarts fairly soon.
Moments later, the professors will leave the classroom, and Jae will return, eagerly asking about the exam.
Sadly for him, the exam was not the topic of their conversation.
You’ll decide to spy some more on the other professors and see if you can learn anything interesting.
According to Jae, Professor Kettleburn and Hagrid are about to meet soon. This might be a good opportunity to test your Invisibility Cloak again.
You will have to wait approximately three hours before their meeting. This might be a good opportunity to chill for a while and let your energy replenish in the meantime.
Once the waiting time is over, proceed to Care of Magical Creatures to spy on Hagrid and Kettleburn.
Upon arriving, you will notice Liz standing there, looking after a Unicorn.
You’ll then explain what you’re about to do.
Liz will ask you the question about the Invisibility Cloak. There are three options to respond with. None of these will impact the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick whichever one you want.
Luckily for you, Liz will agree not to tell the professors you’re spying on them.
Moments later, Hagrid and Kettleburn will arrive. Apparently, they aren’t too concerned with Liz being there.
Next, you’ll get to eavesdrop on their conversation. To do that, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.
Both of them have 5-cost actions tied to them, which should allow you to save a bit of energy.
Once you are done, you will learn that something is causing Grindylows to behave very aggressively.
Once the two of them leave, you will tell Liz what you’ve learned.
She’ll then suggest eavesdropping on Professor Binns next.
Once again, there is a waiting period of three hours before you can continue. Since that is nearly the exact time it takes for your energy to fully recharge, it is recommended to wait until the timer expires and let your energy replenish in the process.
Once you are able to continue, head to the History of Magic classroom to spy on Professor Binns.
As you arrive, you’ll notice that the Professor is sound asleep.
Just as you were about to leave, you’ll hear Madam Pince.
Perhaps this wasn’t a waste of time after all.
Eavesdropping on them will require earning five stars within three hours. Once again, three stars are needed to pass.
There are 5-cost actions tied to both Binns and Madam Pince.
When you are done, you will learn some interesting information.
Moments later, they will leave the classroom, and you will decide to visit the Hog’s Head Inn.
However, you will have to wait for about four hours before you can continue. Like before, simply let this timer run out and replenish your energy in the process.
Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Hog’s Head Inn.
Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re interested to see what they have to say.
You’ll be surprised to see Badeea here.
Thankfully, she’s a trustworthy friend, so you’ll tell her what you’re planning to do.
Luckily, she won’t hesitate to help you.
In return, she’ll ask for your advice regarding her next painting. There are three options to choose from. None of these will impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.
Soon enough she’ll start distracting Aberforth so you could use the opportunity to slip under the Invisibility Cloak.
Her plan will work as intended, and you’ll be able to don the cloak without anyone noticing it.
You’ll then get to eavesdrop to your heart’s content. To do that, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are 5-cost actions linked to one Dark Witch and a Dark Wizard.
After you’re done, you’ll notice Mad-Eye Moody entering the inn.
The Invisibility Cloak won’t be enough to fool him, so he’ll discover you moments after arriving.
Apparently, he wants to take you to the Training Grounds and prepare you for the upcoming danger.
