Chapter 23
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Three of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, Professor Dumbledore introduced you to Alanza Alves, a transfer student from the Brazilian Wizarding School, Castelobruxo. You were then tasked with being her guide to Hogwarts. You helped her get familiar with the castle and its surroundings, and introduced her to some of your friends. Unfortunately, she found out about the Circle of Khanna, and you had to tell her the truth about it. Later on, Ben told you he wants to have a word with Merula and you, but before that, there are some classes you should attend. Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready.

To unlock Flobberworm to Fritter lesson, you need to acquire nine stars from Transfiguration classes. Select the class duration that suits you, and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

As always, focus on 5-cost actions in order to save some energy.

Also, try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks successfully. This will grant you some additional Knowledge points.

Head back to the classroom once you earn enough stars to unlock the lesson.

Learning how to transfigure Flobberworm to Fritter requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.

Prioritize 5-cost actions if you are looking to save some energy.

Other than that, pay attention to some of the mini-tasks since these are unique to this lesson.

When you earn the fifth star, you will be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement to do so.

As for the second lesson, proceed to the Divination classroom when you are ready.

Unlocking Xylomancy lesson requires earning nine stars from Divination classes. Like before, pick the class duration you prefer and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Once again, prioritize 5-cost action to save a bit of energy.

As for the mini-tasks, these will require you to “focus” a lot in order to gain some extra Empathy points.

Return to the classroom once you obtain enough stars to unlock the lesson.

To complete this lesson, you need to acquire five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Other than some mini-tasks, this lesson is fairly similar to most of the regular Divination classes.

When you are done, proceed to the Hog’s Head Inn to meet with Ben and Merula.

Upon arriving, you will be able to check out what some of the characters have to say to you.

You’ll join your friends at the table and ask Ben about this sudden meeting.

Before answering, he’ll ask you a question.

Apparently, Ben was completely unaware that Dumbledore wanted to see you in his office two times.

He will quickly assume the worst.

You’ll correct him and explain what really happened.

Apparently, Ben doesn’t really care about Alanza.

Merula will tell him about some recent events.

You will explain that there was no other way but to tell her the truth.

Also, it seems that the Headmaster had a talk with both Ben and Merula.

Frankly, it does make sense. After all, the three of you were there the night Rowan died.

Ever since then, everyone’s been looking weirdly at Ben.

Apparently, he’s not the only one who was getting those kinds of looks.

Merula will ask if you hate it. There are two options to respond with. These won’t affect the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick either one.

Shortly after, Ben and Merula will start arguing about Rowan’s death. You will interrupt them saying that Rowan was there because of you.

Needless to say, they will both be surprised by this.

Merula will want to hear all about it.

Explaining what happened requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

If you are looking to save some energy, it is recommended to earn a single star and wait for the timer to expire. This will save you around 30 energy, and given that there’s no waiting time before the next task, you will be at full energy and ready to continue once the timer expires.

You will sum things up once you’re done.

Merula will be quick to blame you for Rowan’s death.

Ben, on the other hand, won’t agree with her about this.

After all, Rakepick is the one to blame for what happened.

Shortly after, Charlie will arrive and ask you to come with him to the Hogsmeade Train Station. Apparently, he’s got a surprise for you.

Proceed there when you are ready.

When you get there, you will notice that some of the characters have speech bubbles above them.

This is when you will find out what the surprise is.

It is definitely surprising to see Bill back at Hogwarts so soon.

Especially given the fact that he was so busy with work lately.

If you completed Adventures in Curse-Breaking, you’re in for some additional lines of dialogue.

You will be curious to know why Bill decided to visit.

He’ll be more than happy to answer your question.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Bill and your character. Focus on these if you are looking to save some energy.

Apparently, Bill was also having a hard time since Rowan died.

Bill and Charlie will also mention their younger siblings.

If you and Rowan visited the train station together during Year 6 Chapter 11, you’ll be sure to mention it.

Apparently, Bill plans to surprise his younger siblings.

Charlie will suggest surprising them with some homemade fudge.

Bill will ask him an obvious question.

As for Charlie, he will be determined to give it a try.

However, you’ll need access to the kitchens in order to make some fudge.

Perhaps Jae will be kind enough to help you?

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for three hours until the time is right. However, you will likely be out of energy at this point, so you can simply wait until this timer expires since your energy will regenerate in the meantime.

Head to the kitchens once you’re able to continue.

You will thank Jae for being kind enough to sneak you in.

He will be surprised to see you risking getting detention again. You have three options to respond with. If you like Jae, it is somewhat recommended to pick the first option.

As for Charlie, he doesn’t mind getting detention as long as you can make the fudge.

You’ll ask him about the recipe.

Unfortunately, Charlie doesn’t really know how to make it.

Luckily, Jae is a skillful cook, so his help will be more than valuable.

Also, he knows a useful charm that will make things much easier.

Making Weasley Fudge requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Charlie and Jae. Prioritize these if you want to save a bit of energy.

When you are done, the fudge will be almost ready.

There is only one thing missing, and that’s Jae’s spell.

However, before he gets to cast it, Pitts will appear. He will be surprised to see all of you in the kitchens.

He’ll ask you to provide an explanation. It is highly recommended to tell the truth, so as long as your Empathy is level 26 or higher, you should go with the first option.

Shortly after, Pitts will ask you to finish the fudge and leave the kitchens.

You’ll then ask Jae to do his magic.

He’ll wave his wand and cast the spell.

Still, you won’t be certain if the spell worked or not.

Apparently, there’s only one way to find out.

Charlie will suggest heading to the Owlery next.

Still, there is a waiting period of two hours before you can continue. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Owlery to surprise the Weasleys.

Charlie will tell you that everything is ready for the surprise.

Bill will be very eager to greet his younger brothers.

Also, it appears that Jae’s spell worked as intended.

Moments later, Percy, Fred, and George will arrive.

Needless to say, they will be very surprised to see Bill.

Percy will be the first one to notice the fudge.

You’ll admit it wasn’t Mrs. Weasley who made it.

Percy will be quick to assume something bad happened.

Both George and Fred will ask Bill to tell them the truth.

Bill will calm them down saying that everything is all right.

Percy will be doubtful of that. There are two options to respond with. None of these will influence the story in a significant way, so feel free to take your pick.

Bill will then explain that he wants to cheer up his younger brothers.

Fred will be interested to learn more about Bill’s happy memories.

And apparently, George wants to hear about it too.

Sharing some nice memories requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Charlie and your character. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.

Bill will say a few more words once he’s done sharing happy memories.

As for Charlie, he will remind everyone about the fudge.

You will say a few nice words before you leave.

Before you leave, Fred will ask you about the Circle of Khanna meeting.

Needless to say, this will catch Bill’s attention.

You will start explaining.

However, Bill will cut you off mid-sentence.

You will suggest it might be better for him to spend some time with his brothers.

He’ll nod, saying he’ll look for you afterward.

This will happen in approximately two hours. Since you are probably out of energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.

Merula will be interested to know why you wanted to meet.

Bill will get straight to the point.

The most powerful witch at Hogwarts won’t be too happy about hearing this.

Ben will assume that Bill wants to help you.

And by the looks of it, that seems to be the case.

You’ll then get to learn more about Bill’s plan. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are two 5-cost actions linked to Bill, so focus on his actions if you are looking to save some energy.

When you are done, Bill will ask if you’d prefer being a bit more organized about investigating ‘R’. There are two options to choose from. These won’t influence the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick either one.

Bill will then point out some things about Merula, Ben, and you.

Merula will be the first one to object.

As for Ben, he’ll agree with her about this.

And you will admit that all three of you need each other.

Bill will just look at you and smile cheekily.

Ben will find it odd.

Perhaps uniting the three of you was Bill’s goal in the first place.

He’ll give you a few more words of encouragement before telling you about his plan.

He will then suggest returning to the place where Rowan got killed.

This will conclude Chapter 23 of Year 6. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
