Chapter 24 – Return To The Forest
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Four of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous chapter, you met with Ben and Merula in the Hog’s Head Inn where you talked about the night when Rowan died. After a while, Charlie showed up and asked you to follow him to Hogsmeade Train station for a surprise. As it appeared, his surprise was the arrival of Bill.
You spent some time hanging out with him, but eventually, he found out about the Circle of Khanna. He wanted to help you, and he suggested returning to the place where Rowan was killed and looking for clues.

Walkthrough
But before that, there are some lessons you should take care of. Proceed to the Herbology classroom when you are ready. Unlocking the Whomping Willow lesson requires earning nine stars from Herbology classes. As always, pick the class duration suitable to your liking and hit Start to begin.
Prioritize the bonus progress actions in order to save energy.
Try to complete all of the mini-tasks successfully to earn some additional Empathy points.
Return to the classroom once you earn enough stars to unlock the lesson. To complete the Whomping Willow lesson, you’ll need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this lesson if you’re out of energy.
This one is very similar to most of the regular classes. Pay attention to some of the mini-tasks since they are unique to this lesson.
Once you earn the fifth star, you will be tasked with fertilizing your plant. Trace the path on the screen to do so.
Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You can claim an additional reward in the Herbology section of your Hogwarts Record.
For the second lesson, head to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. Unlocking the Banshees lesson requires earning a total of nine stars from Defence Against the Dark Arts classes. Like before, pick the class duration you prefer.
During these classes, focusing on actions with bonus progress should save you some energy.
Other than that, completing most of the mini-tasks will grant you some extra Courage points.
Return to the classroom when you earn enough stars to unlock the lesson. Completing the Banshees lesson requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all of the stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this if you’re low on energy.
Pay attention to some of the mini-tasks, since those are specific to this lesson.
Once you earn the fifth star, you will be tasked with banishing the Banshee. Trace the wand movement to do so.
When you are done, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will earn an additional reward for completing the lesson. You can claim it in the Defence Against the Dark Arts section of your Hogwarts Record.
Now that the lessons are out of the way, return to the classroom to meet with your friends. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of your friends and check out what they have to say. You’ll notice that all of your friends are doing their best to practice and prepare for what’s to come.
Bill will be impressed with your “army”. You will start to explain to him that they are working quite hard to develop skills and knowledge to strengthen the Circle of Khanna. Merula will add that she leads a group that studies curses and dark artifacts, and Ben’s group focuses on dueling skills. You will tell him about the other groups too.
Bill will be curious about the location of the final Cursed Vault and will ask you if you are sure that the final Cursed Vault is in the Black Lake. Still, all of the clues are pointing out to the Black Lake.
Bill will ask if you are ready to return to the Forest Grove. There are three options to respond with. This choice won’t have any significant influence on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.
Then he’ll tell you his opinion about it. He will say that he believes the key to finding Rakepick could be at the crime scene. By the looks of it, the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts is against going back to the crime scene. This is one of the rare opportunities Ben will use to tease her.
Bill will want to hear more about what happened the night Rowan got killed. This requires earning five stars within one hour. Three stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus actions tied to Talbott, Merula, and Tonks. Focus on those if you are looking to save some energy.
When you are done, Bill will finally understand why you decided to go to the Forbidden Forest that night.
Still, there are a lot of questions that have yet to be answered. You’ll say you don’t know the reason why ‘R’ wanted your brother to go to the Forest Grove that night, and Ben will add that your brother didn’t show up then. Merula will make a bold assumption. There are two options to respond with. If you like Jacob, it is recommended to go with the first choice here.
In any case, one of the things you are sure of is the reason why Rowan followed you into the forest, and he followed you because he was looking out for you.
Merula will ask if there’s anything left to do before going into the forest again. Bill will calmly advise you and your friends to return to your normal lives until then. Perhaps you should spend some time with Alanza and try to forget all of the bad things.
Head to the Great Hall when you are ready to meet with her. When you get there, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. You’ll join Alanza, Barnaby, and Liz at the table.
Apparently, Liz and Barnaby quickly became friends with Alanza. After all, they all share a common interest in magical creatures. She’ll ask you about the Circle of Khanna. If you trust her, it is recommended to pick the first option. Otherwise, feel free to go with either one.
In any case, she’ll tell you she isn’t interested in joining the Circle of Khanna.
You will then get to talk to Alanza about Castelobruxo. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.
There is a reward action linked to Alanza. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.
Liz will find Castelobruxo fascinating, and you’ll understand Alanza’s homesickness because Castelobruxo sounds so magical. Luckily, she has already made some new friends, and that’s making things a lot easier for her, and you’ll thank her for cheering you up.
Barnaby will point out an interesting fact.
And it looks like Alanza agrees with him about this. Shortly after, Tonks will appear and remind you it’s time for another Divination class.
There is a waiting period of two hours before the class starts. Since you are likely low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out and let your energy regenerate in the meantime.
Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Divination classroom. When you get there, you can chat with some of your friends before the class starts. Professor Trelawney will gather everyone and ask if anyone can guess the subject of today’s lesson.
You’ll be the first one to answer her question. If you look at the object on top of her table, you can easily guess it.
The Professor will instruct everyone to partner up with another student, and Chiara will kindly request you to be her partner for this lesson, to which you’ll readily agree without hesitation.
You will mention your plan to explore the Forbidden Forest, shortly surprising Chiara. Still, you went into the forest countless times before, so there shouldn’t be any reason for her to worry. Since the class is starting soon, she’ll suggest discussing it later while you both concentrate on the crystal orb. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus actions tied to your character and the orb. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.
Sadly, the crystal orb won’t tell you anything. This will remind you of Professor Trelawney’s previous prophecy.
Chiara will ask if you really have to go into the forest. After all, it will be a full moon, so that’s one good reason not to venture there.
Unfortunately, your other friends will be going into the forest, so you won’t have much of a choice.
Chiara will tell you to be careful and watch out because it will be especially dangerous. Moments later, Professor Trelawney will grab everyone’s attention. Apparently, two more students were affected by the Statue Curse.
She will ask if anyone wants to volunteer in the Hospital Wing. Needless to say, both Chiara and you will be up for it.
Once again, there will be a waiting period of two hours before you can continue. Like before, you will probably be low on energy at this point, so simply wait until the timer runs out.
Head to the Hospital Wing once you are able to continue. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters. After greeting Cedric, Chiara will decide to check with Snape if there’s anything she can do to help.
Cedric will tell you that something is wrong with Beatrice. Luckily, she wasn’t petrified, but something about her seemed off. You will ask him to tell you more while you tend to the cursed students. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.
There are reward actions tied to Alanza and your character. Focus on those if you want to save a bit of energy.
When you are done, you will thank Cedric for sharing his concerns about Beatrice with you. He will ask for your opinion on the matter. There are two options to choose from, but neither of these will have any meaningful influence on the story, so feel free to take your pick.
You will say that In any case, it is very important to find the last Cursed Vault before ‘R’. Then Professor Snape will approach and ask Cedric to bring him some potion ingredients.
He will then turn his attention to you.
Luckily, he will let you off the hook easily.
Once he leaves, Chiara will approach you with a concerned look on her face. She won’t try to convince you not to go into the forest, but she will ask you to be careful.
Unfortunately, you will have to wait for three hours until it’s time to head into the forest. Since you are likely low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy replenish in the meantime.
Head to the Forest Grove once the waiting time is over. When you arrive, Bill will ask if this is the place where Rowan died. Merula will answer his question in her usual way.
You’ll kindly request her to lower her voice, sparking her curiosity about the reason. While this won’t have any significant influence on the story, it is somewhat recommended to tell her it’s a full moon.
Shortly after, Bill will say that the moonlight can make it easier to find clues. Also, he will be worried about you and your friends, especially since all three of you were there when Rowan got killed. As for Ben, he will say that he doesn’t feel a thing. Merula, on the other hand, will be feeling very angry.
Bill will ask you about your feelings. There are three options to respond with. None of these will have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever one you prefer.
Bill will then ask everyone to spread out and look for clues. He’ll tell you to look for anything Rakepick left behind that might lead you to her trail. Sadly, after searching for a while, no one will be able to find anything important. This is when Merula will notice a werewolf looking at her.
You’ll ask everyone to stand back while you deal with the creature. The task window will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the cost of each attempt. Hit Start when you are ready to duel the werewolf.
At this point, you are very likely to have a significant attribute advantage over your opponent. Because of that, one of the good strategies to follow is to go with the Sneaky stance and use Flipendo on every turn. You should easily be able to win the duel in 2-3 turns.
After your victory, Bill will cheer happily, but your moment of triumph will be short as the werewolf prepares to launch another attack.
Luckily enough, Chiara will jump to your rescue and chase the other werewolf away.
All of your friends will be confused since none of them is aware that Chiara is a werewolf.
You will quickly change the subject and avoid saying anything that might reveal her secret. Before you go, Torvus will arrive, saying he has a message for you. Apparently, Firenze has news about Trelawney’s prophecy.
However, you’ll need to study some constellations before he’ll allow you to return to the camp.
After he leaves, Bill will ask for your opinion, and you’ll suggest heading to the Astronomy Tower.
This will mark the end of Chapter 24 of Year 6. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 2000 Experience Points.
Will Firenze share the news about Trelawney’s prophecy with you? What insight does he have about it? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.
Thank you for reading.
