Chapter 29
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Nine of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you learned that the Whomping Willow might be a secret gathering place for ‘R’. You decided to look into it further and find out if there is a way to approach the Whomping Willow safely. Unfortunately, Professor Sprout wasn’t willing to tell you about it, so you’ll have to discover it on your own. Also, Professor Dumbledore wanted to see you in his office. Apparently, he found out about the Circle of Khanna, and he wants to talk to you about it. But before that, you should take care of the lessons. Proceed to the Astronomy Tower when you are ready.

To unlock Making Start Charts lesson, you need to earn a total of nine stars from Astronomy classes. Select the class duration that suits you and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Focus on 5-cost actions if you want to save some energy.

Also, try your best to successfully complete mini-tasks to earn some extra Knowledge points.

Head back to the Astronomy Tower once you obtain enough stars to unlock the lesson.

To complete Making Star Charts lesson, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Some of the mini-tasks will be new, so pay attention to those.

Upon earning the fifth star, you will be tasked with drawing the star chart. Trace the path on the screen to do so.

Once you are done, head to the Training Grounds for the second lesson of the chapter.

To unlock the Gripping Charm lesson, you need to acquire nine stars from Flying classes. Pick the class duration you prefer and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

As always, prioritize 5-cost actions whenever they are available in order to save some energy.

Try to complete all of the mini-tasks successfully to earn some extra Courage points.

Return to the Training Grounds once you unlock the lesson.

Learning the Gripping Charm requires obtaining five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Some of the questions are unique to this lesson, so pay attention to them.

When you earn the fifth star, you’ll get to test the Gripping Charm. Tap and hold the icon in the green zone to do so.

Now that you’re done with the lessons, you can go to the Headmaster’s office to continue the story.

When you arrive, you will notice that you’re not the only one Professor Dumbledore invited to his office.

According to Ben, the Headmaster already knows about the Circle of Khanna.

As for Merula, she’ll be afraid that all of you are going to be expelled from Hogwarts.

Ben will ask if you would’ve done something differently if you had the chance. There are three options to choose from. None of these will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

He will then ask if you’ve learned anything about the Black Lake creatures.

You will quickly fill him in.

Moments later, the Headmaster will arrive.

You will be curious to know how he found out about your organization.

Apparently, he knows about pretty much everything that happens at Hogwarts.

You will then get to face the consequences of your actions. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are two 5-cost actions linked to the Headmaster. Prioritize his actions if you are looking to save some energy.

When you are done, you will realize that Professor Dumbledore isn’t fully aware of what the Circle of Khanna stands for.

Or perhaps he is?

Fawkes will then alert the Headmaster that he is needed elsewhere.

Once he leaves, Ben will assume that Dumbledore already knows everything about the Circle of Khanna.

Merula, on the other hand, won’t quite agree with him on that.

He will then ask for your opinion. There are two options to choose from. This choice won’t have a heavy impact on the story, so feel free to pick either option.

In any case, Merula will suggest not to talk too much about the Circle of Khanna anymore.

And all of you will agree that Rakepick is the one responsible for what happened.

After all, once ‘R’ is stopped, you can tell Dumbledore the whole truth.

Still, in order to do that, you’ll need to learn more about the Whomping Willow.

Perhaps the Library would be a good place to start?

However, you will need to wait for two hours until you can go there. Since you are likely low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

Head to the Library once the waiting time is over.

Upon arriving, you will get to interact with some of the characters and check out what they have to say.

In order to get into the Restricted Section of the Library, you’ll have to think of a way to distract Madam Pince.

Both Merula and Ben will make interesting remarks on the Librarian.

Ben will then ask who you consider being the meanest witch. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Next, you’ll have to figure out how to get past Madam Pince.

Perhaps you can take a different approach this time…

Moments later, the Librarian will approach you.

You will then start executing your plan.

This will surely grab her attention.

You’ll then get to connect with Madam Pince. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Madam Pince and Ben. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, you will execute the final stage of your plan.

Needless to say, she will quickly rush to the back of the library.

Now you’re finally free to check the Restricted Section of the Library.

Go there when you are ready.

Merula will be curious if the information you read about the Whomping Willow is true.

However, that is your only lead so far, and it is still better than nothing.

In any case, you’ll decide to consider your options and debate what to do next.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Ben and Merula, so prioritizing their actions should save you some energy.

When you are done, you’ll find an old note.

Merula will look over the note, but she’ll fail to see its importance.

Apparently, the note was written by Rowan.

Ben will ask you a question about your late friend. There are three options to choose from. There are no wrong answers here, so just pick the one you prefer.

You’ll then remind both of your friends why you formed the Circle of Khanna in the first place.

Both of them will agree with you on this.

And for now, your only lead is the Whomping Willow.

You’ll decide to seek Jacob and see if he can help you somehow.

There is a waiting period of three hours before you can proceed. Since your energy is likely low at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer expires.

Head to the Lakeshore once the waiting time is over.

When you arrive, you will shoot the red sparks into the sky to signal Jacob.

Moments later, your brother will arrive.

He won’t be happy to learn that you are still going after Rakepick.

Still, you will tell him you plan on continuing to do so.

He will ask why you won’t let him deal with the situation alone. There are three options to reply with. If you like Jacob, it is recommended to pick the third option.

He’ll then ask you about Beatrice.

You’ll tell him she is fine now, and you’ll mention that you need his help.

Explaining the situation to Jacob requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to both Jacob and your character, which will make this task a bit easier to complete.

You will sum things up when you are done.

Still, approaching the Whomping Willow is extremely dangerous.

Perhaps the Shield Charm could help?

You will then get to practice the Shield Charm with Jacob. Trace the wand movement to cast this spell.

After practicing for a while, you will notice Merula approaching.

As it appears, she was following you for quite some time.

It looks like she wants to learn the Shield Charm.

Eventually, you’ll agree to help her.

Unfortunately, the most powerful witch at Hogwarts won’t be able to successfully cast the Shield Charm.

She’ll just stand there with a confused look for a while before heading back to the castle.

Shortly after, Merula will ask you to meet her at the Training Grounds, so proceed there when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you will notice that there are several other Circle of Khanna members there.

You’ll be surprised to see so many of your friends at the Training Grounds.

Merula will ask if you can figure out why she summoned everyone. There are three options to choose from. None of these will have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Apparently, she wants you to teach everyone the Shield Charm.

You’ll be surprised to hear that everyone wants to go to the Whomping Willow.

By the looks of it, all of them are quite determined to go.

In the end, you will decide to hear them out before making any decisions. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are two 5-cost actions linked to Merula. Prioritize her actions if you want to save some energy.

You will try reasoning with all of them. After all, going there with a large group of people could end up with someone getting badly hurt.

Merula, on the other hand, thinks that it might be possible if you teach everyone the Shield Charm.

You’ll remind her that the Shield Charm is a very difficult spell to learn.

Ben will agree with Merula on this. After all, your friends need to learn to protect themselves.

However, before you could say anything, the Caretaker will arrive.

Apparently, the Headmaster asked him to keep an eye on you.

And not just that, it seems that he wants to see you in his office once again.

Professor Dumbledore will be ready to see you in about two hours. Until then, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Proceed to the Headmaster’s office once the waiting time is over.

Mr. Filch will happily deliver both Merula and you to the Headmaster.

He will ask Professor Dumbledore to let him use his chains on both Merula and you.

Unfortunately for Mr. Filch, the Headmaster has something else planned for you.

Once the Caretaker leaves, Professor Dumbledore will ask you to be honest with him.

You will then get to choose whether you want to explain yourself first or hear what he has to say. It is highly recommended to be honest with him and explain yourself first.

You will then start telling him the truth.

As you assumed before, the Headmaster felt that there’s something you weren’t telling him.

Your previous choice will take effect here.

You will then get the chance to explain yourself.

This requires earning five stars within eight hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions tied to Merula and Professor Dumbledore. Prioritize their actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

You will sum everything up when you are done explaining.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Headmaster wants to punish you for ignoring his warnings.

Merula will once again assume she’s going to get expelled.

Luckily, that’s not what Professor Dumbledore had in mind.

It looks like both Merula and you will be heading to detention.

This will put an end to Chapter 29 of Year 6. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

How long will you be in detention? Will you manage to avoid it somehow? Find out in the next Chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
