Chapter 36
Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Thirty-Six of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Previously, you did some final preparations before heading to Knockturn Alley to infiltrate ‘R’’s meeting. The Polyjuice Potion worked as intended, and you successfully transformed into Patricia Rakepick. Upon arriving at the place of the meeting, you noticed the Wizard in White Robes talking to a Dark Witch. You infiltrated their meeting and learned that ‘R’ has a mole in Hogwarts. However, before learning who the mole is, the real Rakepick showed up and the battle ensued. Thankfully, both Jacob and Mad-Eye Moody showed up, and thanks to their help, and the help of your friends, you forced Rakepick to retreat. Most importantly, Mad-Eye Moody managed to capture Mahoutokoro Wizard, and later on, the two of you interrogated him. Unfortunately, you didn’t get any information about the mole from him, so now your main goal is to find out who the mole is. But before that, there are some lessons you should be attending. Proceed to the Charms classroom when you are ready.

To unlock the Aguamenti lesson, you need to earn a total of nine stars from Charms classes. Select the class duration suitable to your liking and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Prioritize 5-cost actions during these classes if you want to save some energy.

Also, try your best to successfully complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some extra Empathy points.

Return to the classroom once you obtain enough stars to unlock the lesson.

Learning to cast Aguamenti requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this lesson if you are low on energy.

Pay attention to Professor Flitwick’s question during this lesson.

Upon earning the fifth star, you will be tasked with performing the spell. Trace the wand movement to cast Aguamenti.

Proceed to the Herbology classroom when you are ready for the second lesson of the chapter.

Unlocking the Flutterby Bush lesson requires earning nine stars from Herbology classes. Select the class duration you prefer and hit Start to begin.

As always, focus on the 5-cost actions to save as much energy as possible.

As for the mini-tasks, completing each of these successfully will net you some Empathy points.

Return to the classroom once you acquire enough stars to unlock the lesson.

Completing the Flutterby Bush lesson requires obtaining five stars within three hours. Since all of the stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this lesson if your energy bar is empty.

Pay special attention to Professor Sprout’s question during this lesson.

Now that you’re done with the lessons, you can start looking for ‘R’’s mole. Filch will be the first person for you to interrogate. Proceed to his office when you are ready.

Merula and you decided to “accidentally” drop some sticky Blood Pop on Mrs. Norris to draw the Caretaker’s attention.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will find your plan quite amusing.

In any case, this will be your chance to interrogate Filch and see if he is the mole.

Still, figuring it out won’t be an easy task. You will have to ask the right questions and see his reaction. Hopefully, that way you will be able to figure out if he’s working for ‘R’ or not.

Moments later, Merula will warn you that Filch is coming back.

As soon as he enters the office, you will feel a lot of anger and negativity radiating from him. Needless to say, he’s not too happy with what you did to Mrs. Norris.

You’ll hear her meowing from the other side of the door.

Apparently, she won’t let anyone near her, not even the Caretaker.

Filch will give you one chance to explain yourself. While this choice won’t have any big impact on the overall story, if you don’t want to anger the Caretaker, you should pick the option to appease him.

Filch will point out that the students have no respect for him or Mrs. Norris.

Merula and you will try to push him a little further.

By the looks of it, he cares deeply for Hogwarts and has the utmost respect for the Headmaster.

As it appears, he is angry at you for what you did to Mrs. Norris.

You’ll point out he is absolutely right.

Merula will smile cheekily and say it was just an accident.

Unfortunately, the Caretaker won’t believe it. After all, he did see you dropping the candy on his cat.

You’ll try to explain you didn’t do it on purpose.

Unfortunately, Merula won’t be able to keep the straight face while trying to convince Filch it was only an accident.

Filch will be very eager to take you to the Headmaster.

Suddenly, he will hear Mrs. Norris meowing from the corridor.

It looks like you’ve avoided getting detention by the skin of your teeth.

The Caretaker will decide to leave and see if Professor McGonagall can do something to help Mrs. Norris.

Once he leaves the office, Merula and you will decide to review what you learned.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are two 5-cost actions linked to your character. Focus on your own actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.

Once you are done, you will realize that Filch cares too much for Hogwarts to be the mole.

Also, he holds a lot of respect for Professor Dumbledore, so he is most likely not the person you’re looking for.

Merula will agree with you on that.

As for further investigation, she will suggest splitting up in order to avoid suspicion.

You’ll ask her to keep Filch busy while you interrogate the other suspects.

Speaking of suspects, the next person to interrogate will be Madam Hooch.

This time, you will decide to have Ben accompany you. There will be a waiting period of three hours before you can continue. Since your energy is most likely low at this point, it is recommended to wait, and let it recharge in the meantime.

Head to the Training Grounds once the waiting time is over.

Upon arriving, you’ll get to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Luckily, you arrived just in time.

One thing’s for certain, you’ll have to figure out who the mole is as soon as possible.

Ben will remind you that Madam Hooch is one of the top suspects.

You’ll tell him about your previous interrogation.

Perhaps you can take a similar approach to determine whether Madam Hooch is the mole or not.

You will then get to choose how to start the conversation with her. There are two options to pick from. While there will be some dialogue differences, both options will end up with the same outcome, so feel free to pick either one.

Moments later, Madam Hooch will notice Ben and you. She will be curious to know why you are here.

The following lines will differ, based on your previous choice. If you chose to talk about Quidditch, Madam Hooch will happily agree to answer your questions. Otherwise, you will have to convince her, but she will eventually agree to talk to you.

You will ask her a question. If you started with Quidditch, you’ll ask if she thinks Quidditch makes one power-hungry. Otherwise, you will ask her if being competitive and focused on sports can make a person hungry for power.

You’ll then get to interrogate Madam Hooch. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Madam Hooch and Ben. Prioritize those if you are looking to save some energy.

Madam Hooch will say a few words once you’re done asking questions.

You will be amazed by her passion for sports.

Unfortunately, she won’t be too happy about having to answer all of your questions.

As it appears, someone’s been flying over the Black Lake quite recently.

You’ll say you know nothing about it before apologizing for wasting her time.

In any case, Madam Hooch will decide to find out who flew over the Black Lake.

Once she leaves, you’ll tell Ben you don’t think she is ‘R’’s mole.

He’ll agree with you.

Still, there is a possibility that the mystery flyer could be the person you’re looking for.

Does this mean ‘R’ knows that the final Cursed Vault could be below the surface of the Black Lake?

In any case, you’ll decide that the best course of action would be finding out who the mole is.

Professor Snape will be the next suspect for you to interrogate.

Once again, you will have to wait three hours until you can proceed. Since there is no time-limit on the chapter, and you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended simply to wait and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

Head to the Potions classroom once the waiting time is over.

When you arrive, you will notice that the Potion Master is alone in the classroom.

This interrogation will definitely be the most difficult one so far.

Snape will approach you and ask what you are doing in his classroom.

You’ll get straight to the point and ask him about Patricia Rakepick.

He’ll point out there’s been more than enough talk about your former Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor.

You will try to pick your next words carefully.

Snape will wonder why you are suddenly asking about Rakepick.

He’ll ask if you changed your mind about her. There are two options to choose from. Both of these will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to pick either one.

You will continue talking about Rakepick to test Snape’s reaction.

Unfortunately, the Potions Master will be incredibly hard to read.

You’ll then decide to ask him about his views on what’s right or wrong.

Interrogating Snape requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are two 5-cost actions linked to Professor Snape. Prioritize his actions if you want to save some energy.

When you are done interrogating, you will boldly tell Snape he doesn’t seem to want to indicate a side.

As much as he’ll be annoyed by your questions, he will decide to make things perfectly clear.

He will point out that committing murder is always wrong.

All of this talk will make him very suspicious of you.

You will use this as an opportunity to figure out if he is the mole.

Sadly, before getting to ask him anything else, Barnaby will barge into the classroom saying there’s an emergency in the Library.

So, what are you waiting for? Proceed to the Library to find out what the emergency is.

When you arrive, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters.

Apparently, another student has been struck by the Statue Curse. Professor Snape will try to calm everyone down.

Barnaby will be pretty upset about this.

Sadly, you didn’t have much success interrogating the mole suspects.

Barnaby will ask if you want to talk about it.

Reviewing mole suspects requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Barnaby and your character. Focus on those if you want to save a bit of energy.

You will sum things up once you’re done filling him in.

Barnaby will ask if you think Snape is the mole. There are two options to choose from. These won’t impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

You will also inform Barnaby about the mysterious flyer Madam Hooch told you about.

In any case, the most important thing would be to find the final Cursed Vault and break its curse as soon as possible.

In other words, your mole investigation will have to wait for the time being.

You will decide that the best course of action would be searching the depths of the Black Lake.

For that, you will need to find a way to breathe underwater.

The Bubble-Head Charm will instantly come to mind.

Now would be the perfect time to review it.

Proceed to the Charms classroom when you are ready.

You will thank your friends for meeting you to review the Bubble-Head Charm.

Needless to say, mastering this charm will be incredibly important if you are to beat ‘R’ to the final Cursed Vault.

Reviewing the Bubble-Head Charm requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

There are two 5-cost actions linked to Barnaby. Prioritize his actions if you want to save some energy.

Ben will sum up the most important things about the Bubble-Head Charm.

He’ll ask if there’s anything you are worried about. There are three options to choose from. None of these will have any major impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Barnaby will say some nice words to boost your confidence.

You will then get to try casting the charm. Trace the wand movement to do so.

Thankfully, the spell will work as intended.

Ben will point out that all kinds of creatures lurk beneath the Black Lake.

You, on the other hand, will be quite confident about entering the lake.

This will mark the end of Chapter 36 of Year 6. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.

What awaits you beneath the Black Lake? Will you find anything that could lead you to the final Cursed Vault? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.
Thank you for reading.
