Chapter 43

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Forty-Three of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous chapter, you visited the Merpeople Village and presented the Merqueen with the tribute. Thankfully, she found your tribute acceptable, and she took you to the entrance of the final Cursed Vault. Just before you got to enter it, a swarm of angry Grindylows attacked you. Luckily, you and your friends managed to chase them off, and before long, you were able to enter the cave. Once inside, you had to search for a while, and eventually, you found a rock formation that was preventing you from entering the vault. You used Bombarda to clear the rocks and open the way into the vault. Once you went in, you realized there was no treasure inside. Instead, you were forced to relive the most painful memories of your life over and over again. Luckily, Merula managed to pull you out and get you to safety. Afterward, Patricia Rakepick showed up and attacked you. Thanks to your dueling skills, you were able to defeat her and get rid of her for good. Now is the time to return to Hogwarts. Proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom when you are ready to attend the first lesson of the chapter.

To unlock the Bowling Ball to Balloon lesson, you will need to earn a total of nine stars from Transfiguration classes. Select the class duration you prefer and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

As usual, focus on 5-cost actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks successfully to earn some extra Knowledge points.

Return to the classroom once you earn enough stars to unlock the lesson.

To complete the Bowling Ball to Balloon lesson, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s recommended not to start if your energy bar is low.

Professor McGonagall will ask you a question related to this lesson, so be sure to answer it correctly.

Upon earning the fifth star, you will be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement to do so.

For the second lesson, head to the History of Magic classroom.

To unlock the 14th Century Wizarding Economic Bubble lesson, you need to acquire nine stars from History of Magic classes. Choose the class duration that suits you, and hit Start to begin.

Like before, prioritize 5-cost actions to save some energy.

Each successful mini-task will award you some Knowledge points, so try your best to complete them all.

Return to the classroom once you obtain enough stars to unlock the lesson.

To complete the 14th Century Wizarding Economic Bubble lesson, you need to acquire five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Try to pay attention to some of the questions during the lesson.

Once you are done, you can continue with the story. Proceed to the Headmaster’s office when you are ready.

When you arrive, you will learn that Professor Dumbledore already knows about your recent adventure.

He will want to know what happened to Patricia Rakepick.

Your answer will be different, based on the choice you made during the previous chapter.

The Headmaster will then ask you about the final Cursed Vault.

You’ll start explaining what happened. You will tell him about the horrifying memories you had to relive.

Professor Dumbledore will seem to understand what you went through.

He will ask you to share your experience with him.

Talking about what happened in the final vault requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

If you are looking to save as much energy as possible, you should earn a single star and wait for the timer to run out. This way, you can easily save up to 30 energy, which is pretty significant. It’s also worth mentioning there are two 5-cost actions linked to your character.

Professor Dumbledore will thank you for everything you’ve done to save Hogwarts from the Cursed Vaults.

You will be surprised by this, especially since he more than once asked you not to search for the vaults.

According to Professor Dumbledore, you are a hero.

You will be shocked to hear that.

He’ll ask if you believe that your actions were heroic. There are two options to choose from. Other than some minor dialogue differences, this choice won’t have any huge impact on the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

You will find it hard to believe that you’re finally done with the Cursed Vaults.

The Headmaster will tell you that your story hasn’t ended yet.

He’ll suggest you look for closure at the start of your journey.

And since everything started with Jacob’s disappearance, you will decide to have a word with him.

Proceed to the Lakeshore once you are ready to meet with your brother.

Once you arrive, you will decide to cast the Red Sparks to draw Jacob’s attention.

Trace the wand movement to cast Vermillious.

Moments later, your brother will arrive and greet you happily.

He’ll ask if you had any trouble with the Headmaster.

You will tell him about your new “title”.

Still, to Jacob, you will always be his little sibling.

You will wonder about what he plans to do next.

Unfortunately, he cannot simply return to Hogwarts.

On the other hand, you will finally get to experience a normal life as a student.

That will seem very strange to you, especially since you were chasing after the Cursed Vaults ever since your first year at Hogwarts.

Your brother will say that he remembers some things about being a normal student.

Perhaps the two of you can figure it out together.

This requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

Normally, it would be recommended to earn a single star and wait for the timer to expire. Unfortunately, there is a waiting period afterward, which is why it’s recommended to complete this task as soon as possible. There are two 5-cost actions linked to your character, so prioritizing your actions should save you some energy.

After talking for a while, you will find it hard to believe that you’ll get a chance to lead a normal life again.

You will also be curious about why ‘R’ was after the Cursed Vaults.

Jacob will ask if you have any idea why ‘R’ was interested in you. There are two options to choose from. Keep in mind that this choice will be referenced later on. If you trust Jacob, it is recommended to tell him the truth.

Regardless of your choice, Jacob will promise to do his best to keep you safe from ‘R’. He’ll say it’s the least he can do for everything you’ve done for him.

He’ll tell you that he wants to stop ‘R’ once and for all.

Shortly after, the two of you will part ways.

You will have to wait three hours before you can continue. Since you are likely low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Hog’s Head Inn to meet with Mad-Eye Moody.

When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Mad-Eye Moody will tell you that he’s talked to Jacob.

Your previous choice will take effect here. If you told Jacob the truth, the Auror will not be happy about it.

You will ask him if he managed to get any information out of Mahoutokoro Wizard.

Unfortunately, the wizard wasn’t really talkative.

In other words, you still won’t have a clue who the mole is.

Mad-Eye Moody will suggest re-examining the evidence.

This requires earning five stars with three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy is low.

There are 5-cost actions linked to both Mad-Eye Moody and your character. This will make the task slightly easier to complete.

You will sum up the things you know about ‘R’.

You’ll tell Mad-Eye Moody that you believe neither Madam Hooch nor Filch are the mole.

On the other hand, Snape was quite difficult to read.

According to the Auror, it is very unlikely that Snape is working for ‘R’.

Also, it seems that the mole is someone you know.

You’ll ask Mad-Eye Moody what to do about it.

He will tell you not to worry for the time being. He will also congratulate you for dealing with Rakepick.

Some of the following lines will be different, based on the choice you made during the previous chapter.

Mad-Eye Moody will thank you for what you’ve done.

He’ll advise you to take a break and spend some time with the ones you care about.

Shortly after, Talbott will ask you to meet with him in the Owlery. Go there when you are ready.

You will be curious to know why he wanted to meet with you.

He’ll tell you that he found a letter for you. Apparently, it’s been in the Owlery for a while.

He’ll hand you the letter and upon closer inspection, you will realize it’s from Ben.

You will recall Ben telling you he was writing a letter before you went into the Buried Vault.

You’ll then decide to read Ben’s letter.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

The only 5-cost action here is linked to Talbott. Focus on his actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

You will find the letter very odd.

Talbott will point out that Ben probably didn’t expect to survive the Buried Vault.

In any case, all of you were changed after that vault, especially Ben.

The letter he wrote back then is the last piece of “old Ben” you have.

Talbott will ask if you think you’re a different person now. There are two options to choose from. Other than some minor dialogue differences, this choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to choose either option.

Shortly after, you will decide to gather up the Circle of Khanna for one last meeting.

You will have to wait four hours before you can continue. You will most likely be low on energy at this point, which is why it’s recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Proceed to the Hog’s Head Inn once the waiting time is over.

When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say.

As it seems, Ben has managed to gather every single member of the Circle of Khanna.

Merula will be interested to know what the meeting is about.

You will tell her that you simply wanted to thank all of your friends for their help.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts won’t really like that idea.

As for Ben, he will suggest you talk to your friends.

You will wonder how to get their attention.

Thankfully, Merula’s got you covered.

She will bluntly yell and tell everyone you have something to say.

Moments later, everyone’s attention will be on you. You’ll use the opportunity to thank everyone for helping you seal the final Cursed Vault and bring Rakepick to justice.

All of your friends will cheer happily at you.

You will then decide to thank each and every one of them individually.

That requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

The only 5-cost action here is tied to Merula. Prioritize her actions if you want to save some energy.

You will say a few closing words once you are done.

Tonks will be the first one to raise a glass to the Hero of Hogwarts.

Your other friends will happily cheer to that.

Ben will ask what you are planning to do next.

You’ll tell him about your talks with Mad-Eye Moody and Jacob.

That will remind Ben of Rowan.

You will suggest throwing a party to celebrate everything that’s wonderful about Hogwarts.
